I have nothing but great things to say about this place. Anyone I've ever had contact with has alwyas been top notch with their customer service. I've had a unit here for probably about 10 years and have never had any kind of issues. Recently, I needed a second unit for a short term lease. When I showed up there about 15 minutes before they closed, Cassandra was more than willing to help me with what I needed. Her kindness and willingness to get the job done was amazing. With it being closing time, I'm sure she was ready to go home, but she never made me feel rushed. She went and showed me where the unit was and switched out the locks so I was able to start putting stuff in it right away. Amazing service!! She was even super kind to my 9 year old son and I loved that!!! read more

Calls not returned. Office isn't manned. Rodents. Facility isn't clean and doors don't have seal. GM isn't kind and bullies clients. Stay away. Amanda isn't there and they march to the beat of their drum and don't meet the customers' needs. Civil libel. Case in point. Stay away. read more

Great place for storage! We had a storage with Public storage for 3 years before this and totally regret not switching over sooner! The people are so kind and loving and actually care about you and your belongings. They won't raise the prices every 2 months like other places. We have been with them about a year now and they rose the price ONCE and only $12! So grateful we found them. Kimberly is so so kind and has such a great heart! Thankful for this place! read more

We have used this place twice for storage, once when we moved out of town for two years and again recently for my business stuff. Both times the experience was great. I have nothing to complain about. The facility is clean and there's no loitering presence there so I felt safe being there without my husband. It is easy to get in and out during business hours and the couple times I had a question, Laurel was there at the desk, sorry if I got your name wrong now I'm not sure which one is right. But she made us feel at home and not like a burden to help us and when we got our stuff out both times and closed the storage, she was courteous and kind and always very friendly. Had an encounter with the fix it guy last time we were there too and he was funny and nice as well. I think the most noteworthy part of storing here though is the fact that they never raised our storage rent. While my sister in laws storage was raised three times at a different facility, ours stayed the same. That makes them seem more honest to me. And very competitive prices to begin with. We rented two units six months ago. We went to pick up our things this week and found the building infested with mice. We've lost furniture, clothing and household goods PLUS so many sentimental items and photos that cannot be replaced. The manager admitted he knew there was a rodent problem then blamed it on the two front units stating he could not get in touch with them because they live in Arizona! It's disgraceful and very, very sad. We paid our rent, automatically deducted from our credit card every month, only to lose our precious mementos anyway. This place is not worth paying for. I have been a customer for over two years and have never had an issue until laurel left. Amanda and the new staff member were very rude and not communicative at all. While trying to communicate with Amanda I could hear the other staff member saying declined declined late late in the background, the worst customer service and publicly as well. There is a grace period always and no understanding whatsoever of the holidays being a factor at all. Customer service shouldn't be humiliating especially when I'm paying over $200 a month. very disappointed in lack of service and consideration for the blunt discourtesy. I came here after looking at reviews of all the storage facilities in Lakeside. They were the most reasonably priced with good reviews and I felt safe walking in. They were amazing during my time renting a unit from them. The place is clean, gated, and secure. The front office is really nice and even when I had a credit card stolen causing rent to be late, they helped me immediately and got my new card taken care of. I highly recommend Ace Self Storage in Lakeside, CA. I have rented from Ace storage before in other locations, and they were always well maintained, friendly, and helpful. But I have to honestly say that Lakeside outshines them all. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. But the onsite manager Laural is the BEST! This storage facility is right across the street from my house, so we decided to rent here. The grounds are kept clean. Laurel, the woman who assists with leasing the units is extremely helpful, kind, and knowledgable. I got a really great deal as well! I lost my key to the storage facility and when the locksmiths in the area wanted to charge 85, she only charged 20. I'd definitely recommend ace storage facility. I searched online and then called around when I needed a storage space for a moving truck to deliver and store all my household goods. When I called Laural at Ace Self Storage she was friendly and helpful and had the best deal in town. SOLD. I went to the Ace and met with Laural who made me laugh even though the moving part was stressful and we had the paperwork and payment finished in no time at all. Laural walked me to my unit with full explanation of everything I needed from gate code, elevator, hours and tips and checked the unit and we locked it up and that was that. A task on my to-do list was checked off and one worry off my mind. I'm thankful that part was so easy because the moving company turned out to be a nightmare. read more

i had a unit there for about four months, it was all well! great price, great customer service. one problem though, when i no longer i needed the unit and was moving out. As i was WALKING to my UNIT i NOTICED COCKROACHES all on the unit doors and walls. it was so disgusting.. do not store your stuff there unless you want it infested with COCKROACHES!! read more
