I rarely write a bad review but, Stax up bought up this storage. I have been here 30 years at secure self storage. They put new doors in workers everywhere hard to get into units. Now they upped rent at least 20 percent on large units, 30 percent on the upstairs. The are lining all with metal but the place in full of termites. We have had to throw out books and furniture do to termites. Just saying, a pretty exterior will not get rid of termites. ENTER at your own risk read more

Everyone beware. I have had a storage unit at this location for many years. Ownership changed from Secure Self Storage to Staxup. I have paid my rent timely every month. I was notified a while back that the doors were being worked on and I would need to pick up my new keys. I did go today!! Holy crap! I could not get the lift to work there are no handrails on the stairs and all of my property was touched, moved, and installed on top of itself!!! By stax. Fyi the manager was very understanding and polite. Now lets see how corporate wants to handle these violations of my items. More will be revealed. read more

Initially great with original ownership. After new ownership rats showed up in units even without food or any other perishables in the unit. They chewed up a lot of my belongings as well as feces and urine all over and dead rats in side making the smell attach to your belongings. After I reported the rent was even increased. I got out immediately after loosing half of my stuff to the problem. Not to mention the "sketchy" homeless that would hang out inside the storage hallways making you uncomfortable while they watch you put your stuff in your unit. As well as cigarette butts and trash getting pushed under your door to the inside. Wish old managers still ran the place and had many great years with them and one bad year with the new ones. read more

"In a soft tone" So a few days ago, I was consolidating my storage. A heavy set gentleman, possibly Hispanic, not quite sure. He said I had 3 minutes to vacate, he had to go pick up his son. We'll I had about 15 boxes to load into my vehicle. I asked him if he could put a few on his cart he said no. As I'm trying to load all these boxes into my small car he's watching me I asked him if I can make two trips so I can dispose of the boxes in the trash bin, he also responded "no you need to make it happen, he didn't care how I was going to make it happen so I pulled a knife out of my car and started cutting up the boxes. #1. I should have been more responsible to be out in a timely manner. #2. He stood there watchin me, and going through his phone. What appalled me was he wasn't courteous enough to offer to assist me. "Now I may hear some slack"' it's not his job. But I've worked customer service all my life, I'm 52, and there wasn't a time I went above and beyond, my time during work or on my personal time. In our lifetime it's our responsibility in life to set a good example of how we're to be. "Would he appreciate someone treating his mother or mother of his children like that?" Absolutely not! Otherwise, everyone has been amazing here. I wouldn't want someone representing my company in that manner. Just sayin.... your employees can make or break your profitability/success!!!! read more

DO NOT USE! Recent changes to management have made this place unbareable. It was worth going somewhere else more expensive. Half the security cameras DO NOT WORK, and the management do not care if your unit gets broken into. The office is almost always closed when you need to pay your bill, the only restroom is consistantly out of stock of paper and soap, and there is mold and moss growing on every building. Another customer told me he was being evicted for complaining too much and being a "nuicence" to the management, and he told me several other people had been evicted for other mundane reasons. The buildings are falling apart, the gate has broken down, and the code boxes through the gate barely work. Considering the place is called "Secure" Self Storage, the place is hardly secure. I fully advise you to take a look for yourself, just do not rent a unit there. As for all the 5 star reviews, they are paid for, they offer a discount to everyone that posts a five star review. That is why those reviews tend to be so short. read more

Well, they are nice, at first. They don't tell you about the rat infestation. we opened our storage and a rat ran out. They had torn up a lot of our things that are irreplacable and there were nests and crap everywhere. They didn't seem to care in the front office. The man wouldn't even look us in the eye. Pretty disgusting. We have to clean up rat **** after alot of our things got trashed. Buyer, beware. I know it looks nice on the outside. They were very rude to my husband when he mentioned it to them. Thanks a lot!!! read more
