This year, as I was preparing to move I began to yelp around to find a storage unit complex that would meet my needs. I did not have to look far, the first place that popped up was this business! I said to myself, "hey, why not?" First, I called to inquire about how to get started and if I would be able to get a Dollie. I can not remember who I spoke to directly but she was extremely helpful. Later on that day, I went online just to see how big these units were and the pricing; there happened to be an online special going on for the unit size that I was searching for. I filled out all my information online & paid for my storage unit, it took me less than 10 minutes and I received confirmation in my email immediately. A few days passed by before I actually went into the office but when I finally did, I finished up paper work which consist of an agreement of what I can put in storage, a copy of my ID, and if I wanted another individual's name listed or not; the basic stuff. This is the first time I have ever rented a storage unit and so far it has been a very good experience for me. The ladies at the front office counters are extremely nice! I come in, sign in on the log with my name, time, and storage unit no. Then I am given the red keychain with the key that allows me to open my storage unit door (they're listed in Alphabetical Order then each door has a number assigned). After I am done, I proceed back to the office to return the key & check out. One time, there was a sign on the door that said "back in 5 minutes" I ended up dropping the red keychain with the key in the mail slot since there was also a sign that said I could do that. So far, I am very happy with the services here and I will continue to keep my belongings here as long as I need them to be in storage.

So I was very happy that the new owners had turned a leaf for this place, So much I referred my…read morefamily member to rent a storage because of the great prices and new hours, I was wrong - Military members- do not rent here -beware!! When you go to sign someone up on your storage, place them on your account, state that they are authorized to access your belongings and manage that account..... it does not mean anything!!!!! We lost the key to the storage right after we moved everything in as we were getting ready for a deployment, we were told by Maureen that we would be able to gain access to the storage no problem and she would even waive the 15.00 fee to open it up for us -one time only. All we had to do was call her ahead of time so that she could have the tools needed to open the lock. My son went to gain access (also was placed on the account) to the storage and the gal turned him away, not Maureen but another woman claiming not to know anything about this arrangement. Picture this- this was not a simple drive over, it is 100 degrees outside, you have a vehicle full of items that needed to go in and it is 40 minutes before they close. Also you are paying over 200.00 a month and for same strange reason, our name on the account means nothing? we cannot have access? What changed ? We are told we now have to have our service member send a copy of their id card to them. A fax copy. lets think about this now, while deployed over seas, who can easily do this? no one i know of. I mean floating n the middle of the gulf, send a fax... it is down right stupid. so this storage is being paid for and with no real resolutions to gaining access. What a huge disappointment as I recommended my family here. The only time they tried to rectify this was AFTER we closed the storage and AFTER i wrote this YELP, they could not give a far fig newton about this until then. I am embarrassed and disgusted the way this has turned out. The gal (Lori) that answered the phone tried to say that the law requires,, etc etc. Well then why would we waste time on adding people to the list of people able to handle the account and have access to the storage if it doesn't mean anything when we need to get access. I will not recommend this place EVER again and for the hassle I wont be coming back. As soon as our family member returned we got his things out of hostage from Super Storage, Poor business practice and they do not stand by their word. Nowadays may not seem like much to some people but to me it means more than my weight in gold.

The on-site Manager is unprofessional, vindictive, lacks the skills to handle difficult situations…read moreand is a liar. I have never felt so victimized and belittled by anyone. After being exceptional tenants for over a decade we were given a Termination of Lease notification. The long and the short of it is that the on-site Manager didn't like that I questioned the increase in rent (75% increase in 3 years) when she took over for the first on-site Manager we had. So when I let her know that we had mold in the unit she curtly said that they couldn't do anything unless I moved my stuff. Unfortunately, they had no open units and I had nowhere to move my items to. A year later I noticed evidence of termites in the unit. When I wrote a formal letter to notify the on-site Manager and the Owner (who, by the way, is impossible to contact) and asked for assistance, I received the Lease Termination Notice not 30 minutes later. And because we vacated the unit ASAP they would not honor the agreement to compensate us for our moving costs. I was supposed to infer that they would only charge me half the rent due for July. But because we moved by the end of June, this did not apply. I was accused of having no common sense, no people skills, and that I needed to work on my customer service skills. I have never felt so victimized and belittled by anyone. So, if you are willing to pay $330/ month for a 10' x 20' storage unit with mold and termites and an on-site Manager who will only be sweet as pie if you don't question her in any way, then be my guest. But I cannot recommend this storage facility to anyone. I gave one star because the area is pretty much safe and the facility is relatively secure.

WARNING BAIT AND SWITCH !…read more Back in February, I went to go rent a unit at this location of Moreno Storage for $34 a month for a 4 x 5' unit. I have no issues until recently. I received the letter that you can see attached that they were going to increase my cost per month for this unit to $101 a month. I completely understand that they may have the legal right to do this but then I think everyone should know about it as I'm trying to let people know that if you rent from them and even a short period of three months, they'll play the bait and Switch game. If that increased my rent by $30 a month I would've been upset but not enraged. In this world, you should be building trust amongst customers, but when you do things like this, how can they trust you or am I just collateral damage that doesn't matter to you? Every single one of their customers should know this, especially if you're getting a unit that you think is at a good price, but the real reason is they're gonna triple it and say that that's the market rate which by the way I checked and that's not the market rate for a 4 x 5Ft anywhere in San Diego. I've included another image which is a screenshot from A1 Storage another provider in the area and as you can see from the image there is a promotional rate. It's states that actually mine never stated that with Marina and their normal cost for a 7 x 5foot unit is $98. That's the market rate and they're saying the market rate is $101 for a 4 x 5 to me this is price gouging. I'm glad Yelp doesn't remove reviews like Google does because they removed my last review about them on Google, which is what they do to all bad reviews so they can try to keep a good standing shame on Google for that.

The upstairs is even clean. You move your stuff into the storage and of course it gets dusty I can understand that but the infestation of rats is over the top. It was completely unsanitary in my storage unit when I moved my stuff out. Not only that I had throw away so many memories because they were covered with rat poop. There was also evidence of termites throughout the unit. But to be honest termites and spiders and bugs were my least concern. Of all the storage units I've ever had in my life I have never had a problems with rats. I do not have any food or anything that would attract them to my stuff. I didn't even want to get into my car after touching all my stuff that was just covered in this nasty stuff. A shower was the only thing I could think of. Unfortunately I would definitely not recommend this place unless you don't care about your items and don't care about rat poop all over your stuff. I would also say The lady that helps me when I came to move out was not very informative. Renting a U-Haul has never been such a pain. You usually walk in get the keys walk out check the truck and you're on the way. It took over an hour for this process. Do not rent a U-Haul from them. So after this long process I go to my storage unit to find it full of rat poop let me tell you moving out was not a fun thing. Also they don't have an elevator. I definitely give this place two thumbs down and I hope I don't get any diseases from touching and breathing in that toxic air. I should have taken photos, But I didn't even want to touch my phone. I hope the stuff that I did keep doesn't get me sick as well.
