Coffee here is fresh and tasty. My fiancée had an espresso based drink and I had drip. Both were really good. Service was also top notch.

I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon to get some work done and was able to grab a seat by the window. I've passed by this coffee shop a couple of times before and have seen it get packed. I've tried several coffee shops that made me dislike almond milk because it makes my coffee feel gritty and weird. But they only have almond milk here as a milk alternative, so I went with a mocha with almond milk. To my surprise, there weren't any gritty/weirdness. It was actually very smooth and the foam was perfect. This is literally the best mocha with almond milk that I've had. Awesome coffee shop. Surprisingly quiet (great for working, I guess). Big selection of teas and coffees. The latte I had was wonderful. They also have food (mostly lighter fare and breakfast pastries), but I didn't have any. Staff is awesome! Decor is cool. Bathroom was clean. Not much else you could need in a cafe. read more

I love Absolute. The coffee is excellent and they have a delicious pistachio cardamom bread if you want something sweet. The seating area can get a bit cold and crowded, but I can usually still find a place to sit. I'd also really like it if they stepped up their matcha game. I will admit that I didn't really want to go into this shop because its appearance didn't stand out. Shame on me, I know. Anyway, I used my CUPS app/membership and discovered this place. Cappuccino w/ almond milk: Super solid drink. Latte art was okay... But it was velvety and smooth which allowed for the nuttiness of the almond milk to seep through. Spooning the foam into my mouth... Mmm. Foam is not bitter at all, but light and delectable. Reallly good. The space is minimal and clean but in a dude sort of way.. Which maybe explains why the majority of the customers were guys? Probably just a coincidence. Outlets everywhere, free wifi, dough donuts.. Can't complain. A small spot with limited seating. I had my usual latte and it was good. Milk was textured nicely and some decent latte art was produced. The drink was smooth and good but not amazing. The flavor was somewhat muted and obscured by the milk. Still very good and I would recommend. read more

Found this little gem strolling through Brooklyn. It's such a cute little cafe. I've tried the almond milk latte and the iced oat milk latte here. They were equally amazing but did notice that the oat milk latte was thick in texture. My friend got a vanilla drink from there I can't recall the name of but it was fabulous. They have an assortment of bakery items which look delicious but I haven't had the chance to try. I will definitely try the next time I'm there. They also have WiFi so I always see a lot people working or studying there. But it's a small cafe so it's usually packed. My go to coffee shop in Brooklyn! Check it out. read more

I happened upon this coffee shop while running an errand in the neighborhood. The barista was very nice, but the manager was not. I thought I'd do a little journaling inside on a nice but windy spring day after I got my coffee, so I took a seat about 5ft away from another person, right next to the door. There were two seats at the bar, and I was told that "this is not a seat" when it clearly & evidently was a seat. I was asked to sit outside, as I quietly did, but I left shortly after, because I felt judged and discriminated against. I look younger than I am and maybe a little bit like a scruffy kid in AJs, but I am a 36yld Art Director who did not appreciate the experience of this cafe. 2 stars for only bc of the nice barista, give her a raise. read more

Absolutely delicious! Came in here to kill some time, and I got a cold brew. Barista was nice, the coffee was $4 for what seemed to be a 16oz. Very good quality cold brew, smooth and rich, not bitter at all! There was lots of space with many outlets, which is always appreciated at a coffee house. They had a large selection of cutely displayed pastries (which I didn't try), and a good flow to the shop. Will return if I'm back in the area! read more

It was my second time ordering a toasted bagel. The first time was cold. I don't think it was toasted at all. This time I requested medium toasted and when I got to my destination I noticed it was wasn't even warm nor brown. And I have the suspicion that they are using almond milk sparingly or watering it down because my coffee was looked and tasted so. Maybe they are stretching items to keep cost down. Totally missed the memo that work starts at 10am instead of 8am today. Having commuted all the way from far rockaway, i decided to find a coffee shop in brooklyn to work on some stuff. cute little coffee shops everywhere are definitely one of the perks of ny. absolute coffee is a quaint, quiet, and cute coffee shop. There are two large communal tables as well as still two seaters to enjoy pastries and coffee. I got their small cafe au lait $2.75 and a vegan zucchini bread $3.75. having come to florida, i never got to try really good coffee. their coffee tasted mild, aromatic, satisfying. It wasn't acidic and the taste was subtle and rich at the same time. their zucchini bread was so yummy. don't get the word zucchini deter you from trying this delicious creation. If I lived close by, this definitely would be a place i'd come back to. TIP: there is a $5 charge minimum for credit cards. Warning: for those out of town-ers. it's probably best if you commuted via subway since parking doesn't seem ample around here and they are all metered parking from what i see. read more

An absolutely beautiful cappuccino! Perfectly foamy, wonderful coffee, perfect temperature. A wonderful place to stop in on your way to work as it doesn't seem too busy so you probably won't have to wait in line and be late to the office. The guy behind the counter (not sure if he's one of the owners mentioned in the other reviews) was quiet but friendly and seemed to take his time with my drink because there was no one else waiting. And i'm happy I did because it was delightful! The cafe is cozy and chic - not over the top in decor, but it has a great ambiance that makes you want to sit and hang out for a bit. Agree with some of the other reviewers that a comfier seating setup would be nice to settle down into with a book, but the tables and chairs provided are perfectly fine for meeting with a friend or getting some work done on your laptop. As for the pastries, they were terribly tempting but I was able to pass this time. But after reading the rave reviews about the doughnuts, I'm not sure I'll be able to say the same next time! read more

I find it nearly impossible to find a place that consistently serves up a good capp and am often left disappointed and/or avoid certain spots when specific baristas are working. I came in during their first week open and worked at the long table for a few hours. Wifi was good, my hibiscus tea was delicious and the soy latte I had was excellent. The two guys who seem to own/run it are lovely. This place is around the corner from my apt. so I want to make it my new spot for daytime working and coffee drinking. However, I'm deterred from coming back because of their furniture. The small circular tables are too small and seem unstable. The large table is really only good for a few people if laptops and papers are out. The table also feels a bit unstable and rickety. And the person who reviewed before me is spot on: the chairs are not comfortable (and I think not tall enough for the large table?) With better furniture the place would be packed everyday. I walk by every morning and want to set up camp. But I need some larger, stronger tables and a couple of cushions. Then I'll be a regular! Thanks for serving great coffee in our hood! read more

Stumbled in here on a Friday late-morning, after a particularly fabulous mani-pedi at Apple Spa (across the street). I'd never seen this place before, but what a great surprise. All of the pastries looked so good. Doughnuts, scones, the whole thing. And the coffee was incredible. It was a hot day, and Absolute Coffee had the ac blessedly blasting (hey, "ac" in the AC ... nevermind). The ac was so chill it made me order a hot coffee. In 80+ degree weather. The coffee is delicious. Just so good. You know how coffee rarely tastes as good as it smells. Well, this comes pretty close. My dulce de leche doughnut was, you guessed it, seriously delicious, squishy, fresh, and filling. So, where's my 5th star? The service is blank-faced, lacking smiles, and filled with one-word answers. When asked open-ended questions about the doughnuts, the gentleman behind the counter seemed a bit disinterested, saying snippets like, "it's popular." Or "it's good." Gimme something, AC! The truth is that you need the whole package. Amazing coffee, perfect pastries, and cute seating spots will only get you so far. If your staff seems detached from it's product and the people who come in, that detachment will be shared by your customers. Coffee shops need regulars. Get invested. read more

Came here on a snowy day and the cafe was pretty full. My friend and I managed to find seats though. There are two communal tables for four, window bar seats for three, and six small tables (that would only fit one laptop) for 2. I got a hot chocolate ($3) and it was good, nothing special but not bad. The baristas are friendly. My laptop wouldn't pick up the wifi network but my cell phone did. Stopped in here for the first time to relax with a cappucino and my book. Not much seating but it's a nice little coffee shop. There's one large table for those groups with laptops or paperwork, a nice little bar top by the window with 3 high seats, and 4 or 5 smaller two-top tables. Staff was friendly, coffee was good. I'd come back here if I was in the area. Average prices for the area and a place like this. My favorite part though: the amazing assortments of 50s and 60s oldies music playing.
