This little cafe is located between old residential stone buildings on a tree lined quiet street in the middle of a bustling Brooklyn neighborhood. My latte was perfectly decorated with a leaf and tasted amazing. So did my cheddar and chive biscuit. They also have scones, which I plan to try on my next visit. Stopped in here for the first time to relax with a cappucino and my book. Not much seating but it's a nice little coffee shop. There's one large table for those groups with laptops or paperwork, a nice little bar top by the window with 3 high seats, and 4 or 5 smaller two-top tables. Staff was friendly, coffee was good. I'd come back here if I was in the area. Average prices for the area and a place like this. My favorite part though: the amazing assortments of 50s and 60s oldies music playing. I ordered a mocha but ended up with pretty much a latte (albeit an above-average latte). It could really do with more chocolate flavor. The barista asked me to stir the bottom of the cup to get the flavor going. Alas, there was none, and all that stirring destroyed the crema (the whole point of an espresso-based drink!). I've been to countless chillaxed cafes in BK, but this one stole my heart. I truly love Absolute Coffee. Simple, warm, friendly, and authentic. Great place!!! The name itself speaks for itself "Absolute coffee" absolutely delicious coffee. I am always glad to be there! Probably one of the few places where you really relax. The staff is very polite and competent. Always greeted and escorted with a smile. You can order everything that is on the menu. And they never heard the word no. There is absolutely everything that is indicated in the menu. And it is also constantly pleasing. I put the deserved "5 stars" !!! I was in the area and needed a pick me up so I stopped into Absolute Coffee. It's a small little shop with some seating and a bathroom. It was pretty busy when we arrived but were able to snag a small table. I shared a cappuccino with my husband and it was very good. It was nice and dark and the milk was frothy. I wish this place was within a quick walking distance from my place (instead of a bike ride away). If it was, I would go every day, or at least more days (we are spoiled for great coffee options in this area, fortunately, and sometimes I mix it up). As it is, while I am not terribly far (a mile?), I tend to go once on a weekend. (Sometimes you just need to go around the block and get your coffee right away on weekend, right?) I do wish the cashiers/baristas were a bit friendlier. (I go when It's slow typically so they would have time). Absolute coffee I happened to come across on a business trip and I must say that their mocha is one of the BEST that I have had. Portola's mocha and Absolute Coffee are my favorite in the running. This is a discreet coffee shop on Atlantic that I've always passed but had never tried. Now with Covid they have a new outdoor seating area by the sidewalk where the seating is actually socially distant, which put them on the map for me. Moreover, I noticed from their window that they use Gimme Coffee beans from Ithaca, which are a favorite of mine! My friend and I enjoyed our flat whites outside in their seating area and felt very safe and comfortable. They also sell Gimme beans so I bought a bag, and the barista was happy to recommend me one from their selection. I'll definitely be back! read more

Worth walking 20 minutes to get there. The coffee is awesome (Gimme Coffee, made with panache), and the baristas are super friendly. Atmosphere is pretty relaxed and usually balanced between people chilling and working, etc. Main thing is the coffee (actually I usually get the iced latte). It's just so pleasant and balanced that it makes me happy even thinking about. Not sure why a well-made coffee can give you a meditative calm that a mediocre one just won't, but I think I might try to do some research and find out, now that the experience is reproducible... read more
