Got carry out from here last weekend. I had chicken vindaloo, Abby had chicken tikka saag, and we split keema samosas and naan. Everything was very good and ready on time. My only negative was that I got a spice level 3 (out of 6) and my mouth was on fire. I usually get a 3 at most Indian places (even a 4 sometimes), so I know what a "3" usually is like. Not sure if they are way spicier than other places or perhaps my order got mixed up or just made with too much spice. But it was fire! But otherwise very good, and we'll certainly come back! With the family away for the night, I decided to do something different. This is the first Indian food I've had in probably 6 years and it was fantastic! The garlic nan was fresh and full of flavor and the curry chicken was just about the best I've ever had. The portions were really big and I have half of it left for lunch tomorrow. Coming to a new Indian restaurant- after being used to going to Clifton or elsewhere for it- we were very impressed. The decor is fresh and enticing - the staff is friendly and helpful- and most importantly the food was fresh and good. It is a little confusing coming in with no direct area for a hostess- but we were quickly sat. The food did take a while to come out - but it was well worth the wait. We will be back! read more

So happy to see an Indian restaurant on the west side of town! Grabbing some yummy Indian carry out is no longer an hour long ride! Yay! Only experienced carry out and are looking forward to an evening when we have the opportunity to dine in. We have only been able to try one of the curries and two of the naans. I love to get things spicy and I felt they held a little back. The naan is a bit chewy but nice and full of flavor. We got the onion and a garlic. read more

The outside looks a bit shabby but I gave it a shot considering sometimes those are the best Indian spots. It was 2 when I arrived and was seated not realizing closing time was 2:30. During my second trip through the buffet I was informed it was close to closing but i could take my food to go if I didn't have time too finish. Made a to go box and stepped up to the register to pay. I was charged for the extra food when I was told i could take a to go box since I I was asked to leave early. I know it's bad practice to come in so close to close, but it just felt kind of unclear and a way to make extra money on takeout I didn't intend to pay for. In the future, will ask for clarification. Being the only Indian restaurant in western hills isn't a bad thing especially for folks that like great Indian cuisine. Now we don't have to drive to Clifton to get fresh Naan. The Tikka masala is my go to and this is now my standard for which to compare others to. Get a Kashmiri naan (I call it desert naan) it's simply amazing! read more

Of all the times in my life and other states and countries that I've had chicken curry, AAP does not taste similar. Though edible and presented very nicely, it just was like eating chicken in a tomato-y sauce with some spice. The chef's naan was a bit flavorless also. The mango lassi was a bit sweet for my preference. Likely the 1st and last time I'll stop in, and especially at this price point. There are other Indian restaurants in Cincinnati that are priced similarly and taste better. read more

I am fairly new to eating Indian food as someone who is somewhat of a picky eater but my friend showed me the error of my ways and I am now hooked! I usually stick with ordering the chicken curry which is pretty good and it tastes about the same as places like Krishna, Swaad, and New Krishna. I had the tikka masala the first time I ordered from there and there was really no difference in taste compared to the chicken curry, the only difference is the chicken was not in chunks. My only complaint really is the boxes you use if you get items off the buffet for take-home, they are styrofoam and if you put too much curry in there it tends to spill and I believe in not wasting that delicious tasting curry! I haven't asked if I could have another container for it so they may have that option for people. Overall I continue to eat here and enjoy it every time! read more

We stopped in on Saturday evening for a meal, It's as good if not better than the Clifton places. We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Korma, with a side of plain and garlic naan. There were almost no tendon in the Chicken, unlike the Clifton places. We also found a stray bone twice at Clifton too. The Lamb was way juicier. They are very light on spicy level. The 5 out of 6 tasted more like a 2 at the other places. Prices are comparable to the Clifton places. The services are VERY good and the wait staffs were all very attentive, refilling rice and water on multiple occasions without us asking. A box and Tin-foil (for the naan) was given for leftover. I love the big parking lot too, no need to worry about getting blocked in or having to park at the business lot and walk back. The decor is very nice, with no hint of the old Taco Bell. They have a few flat screen TVs broadcasting college football games if you care for that, a first for an Indian restaurant for me. The man toilet (YES, it is important to me) is very clean. Granted it is newly renovated and shouldn't be in disrepair this quickly, but I avoided the toilets at the Clifton places, which I would pee at the nearby ice-cream shop before going in, they were that puke inducing in Clifton. Not AAP. The toilet was very clean with no smell. We will definitely be going back. No more driving 15 min for Indian food, especially with the consistent traffic mess near Hopple Street these days. We are thrilled to have AAP on the west side!!! read more

I came in here hoping to get a little work done while eating some good Indian food. The hostess attempted to seat me at a tiny 2 person table so I asked instead if I could have a booth, being that it's impossible to get any work done while eating at such a small table. She said no and again tries to seat me at the tiny 2 person table. Again I said that I needed a booth or I would leave. They let me leave. There were 6 unoccupied booths in the restaurant. read more

This is probably the best Indian food we've ever had! First of all, the way they have transformed this old Taco Bell building is incredible. When you enter, it doesn't feel like it ever could have been a fast food restaurant. It is completely new and actually beautiful inside. We ordered chicken tikka masala and chicken curry, plus two different naan selections (one garlic and one with cashews and raisins that our server strongly recommended - we hate raisins, but this naan was absolutely DELICIOUS and I really couldn't even identify the raisins). We just left, and I'm already planning when I can attack the leftovers. I have a feeling we will eat here a lot. It's great to have a quality Indian restaurant so close to home. read more

Let me be clear why this isn't 5 stars: The staff! The food is delicious, if I could rate just the food it'd be 5/5. The prices are a bit high for Indian considering you can get the same quality food in Clifton for a few bucks less. But the staff absolutely ruins this place. Not attentive whatsoever. They'd rather talk on the phone or each other, and I'm talking about the older staff. The younger staff seem to actually try a little bit to be customer service. For the price and the lack of service, the delicious food can't make up for it. I'll just make the drive to Clifton. read more

Some of the best Mediterranean food I have ever tasted. This was our 2nd time and it was just as good as the first time.

I eat here once a week with my girlfriend and sometimes with her kids. we love it here. we also like coming here because we want to support the little man. I drive past here all the time and it seems like they are getting fewer and fewer customers.. it's kind of sad.. places like this won't be able to stick around and in this part of town there aren't many Indian restaurants. I will say I have noticed a few things the past couple of times I've been in for dinner. the waitresses have been a little rude and careless. which I don't get since we are always nice to them and leave a very good tip. the other day owaitress spilled water all over our table and on one of my gf's kids and she didn't say sorry or anything.. she didn't even clean up the water.. I cleaned it up.. I mean it was just water but come on? No sorry or anything? also I don't think they've been cleaning the booths or windows very good.. there were dead flys all over them.. it's almost like they've just given up. the food is still good but I have noticed some things have been coming out less as good as the time before. read more
