Chicken Tikka Masala with Garlic Nan
    Ted S.

Absolutely loved the Chicken Tikka Masala at this local Indian gem! The Chicken was tender (thin sliced, not large chunks) and cooked perfectly, covered in a creamy, rich tomato-based sauce full of spices The balance of flavors was spot on - level 3 was spicy but with just enough kick to keep it interesting. The basmati rice was fluffy with buttery garlic nan on the side that was perfect for scooping up the sauce. If you're ever on UC's campus you must stop in and try!

Ate here repeatedly. Outside the fashionable OTR, but really one of Cincy's gem restaurants. Not a fancy setting but workers are cordial and prepare phenomenal dishes. Tikka masala was made fresh each time, bountiful in its portion and prepared individually. Prepare to delight the senses.

We loveeee aDeep India. The best Sunday evening take out dinner. We always get the saag chhole and paneer chili spice level 6/6. It gets hot but we love the heat. I think the leftovers next day get even spicier! Garlic naan and hot n spicy naan are our favorites. If we re feeling like we need extra we ll get the veg biryani which is really flavorful and has tons of veggies! Good price for portion sizes, we usually eat it for dinner and leftovers next day. Parking is a little tricky in clifton so you'll have to find street parking.

Two words: Uh-Mazing. If I could give 6 *'s I absolutely would. Adeep India is a restaurant that does authentic Indian cuisine the right way. Natural tasting sauces for dipping with appetizers like samosa, and super flavorful curry and masala make Adeep a must visit. Easily a 9/10 spot in the Cincy area for Indian if you are in the mood. Located right in the heart of the UC Campus, it's a short trip from northern Kentucky or one of the surrounding suburbs. I have tried the chicken curry before and it was excellent, but I am a tikka masala guy through and through and they do NOT disappoint. Rich, creamy masala along with tender pulled chicken make it an amazing experience for anyone into really quality tikka. Not alone are the dishes amazing, but the naan is to die for. With a perfect combination of doughy and crispy you have to try a side of garlic naan with your dish - you'll be glad you did. This is now my GO TO spot for Indian food in Cincinnati. With incredible portions (I can eat and always have leftovers) and very competitive prices, Adeep is a must visit. Stop by and leave them an honest review yourself!

I've never had a meal I didn't like from Adeep. Even though I'm not a UC student anymore, I'll still make the drive over to campus to pick up some of my favorite comfort food. My personal recommendation is the saag mushroom, but you really can't go wrong with anything you order. And, of course, the garlic naan is incredible!

A favorite in Clifton :) Loved going here when I lived right next to it, the food is always delicious and they are always fast.

Adeep India is a temple to the indian students at UC (also alumni like me)! If indian food cravings slip in, Adeep India is a place to go. At 10 odd bucks, you get yummy food and big portions. I stopped in on Tuesday to pick up the food I ordered. It was ready in like 15 minutes. This place doesn't have a great dine-in option and the weird AC thing makes the temperature indoors pretty hot. But the food is DA BOMB! I ordered Shahi Paneer for myself and my friend had the chicken tikka masala. We split the garlic naan. And it was sinfully good. Being an Indian, i know that the food is not authentic and the cream is so unhealthy, but Adeep India are for days when you want the tongue to win. And win royally! Fan faves: Shahi Paneer, Saag Paneer, Saag Chicken and Chicken Masala. Avoid the biryani.

The naan, single order, was the size of a medium pizza. I don't think it's fresh...seemed like a frozen pizza crust from Sysco....

It was far away from me in Fairfield, so it took me far too long to try it (Doordash or bust). Omg it is soooo gooooddd!!! Is it Americanized? Probably but I don't know? I always assumed that I like the most Americanized Indian food, because I like sweet flavors and can't eat spicy food. Whatever is going on here, the flavors are just spot on for me in ways that other places around here have not been. Tikka masala fries are a favorite food. Geez I hope I can find something like this back in Cali. If I was eating there I would ask for double grated paneer. Bhindi masala is some of the best I've ever had - it's light and not too tomatoey and lets the okra shine through. Okra is not overcooked. Sooo tasty. I tried cholay (aloo) for the first time here and I love it. The mango chutney has the right flavor for me, super sweet. Mango lassi is really thick and not too sweet. Kheer was really good and also not too sweet. I wish they would have had gajar ka halwa on the menu because I bet it would be amazing. I have pretty basic picks because I'm pretty basic about Indian food. But I think everything here on the menu must be amazing. Don't be afraid to try anything!! One of my few regrets leaving this area is not trying Jot sooner so I could get experimental with their menu. So if you're reading this, do it in my honor please!

Oh my goodness, I wanted to love this place. It's been around forever and I recall coming here in…read moremy very distant past. We planned to meet at 6 pm on a Tuesday. The place was empty and boy were we popular! LOL We still needed to wait for our third. We were visited a few times before she arrived. I really can't complain about attentiveness. The restaurant itself seems clean, but there was nothing extraordinary about the decor. FYI - other people did arrive while we were there. The entire experience was all over the board. The service was over the top, but certainly attentive. The food was good, but not great. We all ordered Dal Soup, and here's where things went slightly awry. Mark and I received our soup first. It was good. Another bowl of soup (?!?) arrived for our friend. It was THICK compared to mine. In fact, mine was fully liquid and hers was overflowing with lentils. THEN... another soup came out. We were so very confused we were still asking about the thick lentil soup (?) at the end of the meal. We were told it is supposed to be eaten with the rice, or whatever you might be eating. I'm still not sure I understand. I ordered my go-to, Saag Paneer. Mark and I split a Garlic Naan. The naan was great. The flavor, the temperature, the consistency.. it was perfect. My Saag Paneer was good, but when it was delivered the server called it something along the lines of 'Chicken Saag', which is not what I ordered. I mentioned I ordered Saag Paneer, which cheese, not chicken. She then told me it was Saag Paneer. Indeed it was, but can we compound the overall confusion for the evening? Yes we can. Mark had Chicken Tikka Malasa or something similarly named. Be ordered it with a spiciness of 5 out of 6. His review of his meal... it was hot (and he likes "hot") and that was about it. Flavor was either overpowered by the spice level or simply didn't exist. Either way, he was unimpressed... and he loves Indian food. It's really his review that brings us to a three-star review. I tasted one small piece of our friend's Tandoori Chicken. This was after she packed leftovers for her daughter. The piece I tried was small, tender and had a strong flavor of some type of sauce. I think generally the Tandoori Chicken was dry (meaning not wet), but there had to be some sauce on the plate. Bottom line... for us, Ambar India Restaurant provided typical Indian cuisine. And though the staff were super attentive, we found ourselves confused. The food is good and if you live in the area it's a good spot for Indian, though there are many options in the area. We hadn't been in decades. Our most recent visit won't bring us back... mostly because there are so many Indian options in the city. Ambar isn't one we'll need to come back to. Sorry, no pics.
