Their menus are identical... well, almost. My favorite meal at Giovanni's is Giovanni's Special. At Tony's the same dish is known as Tony's Special. Anyway... I found the garlic knots more delicious at Tony's. The bread was tender and they had enough garlic butter on them it was easy to see. This same side at Giovanni's was always a 'throwaway', but at Tony's it was a star. I had to order the special, but I forgot to ask for penne rather than spaghetti. I wish the server has asked. When the meal arrived at the table I was a little disappointed, but even with spaghetti it was delicious. I don't know how they turn a tomato/eggplant mixture into an amazing sauce, but they do. Mark had the same thing and our friend had Fettuccine Carbonara and really enjoyed it. As always, there was enough for both lunch and take-home dinner.
