For curiosity I took a couple friends to brunch here. Good idea! Very good-I had the Gulab Jamun French toast. Fruity and with lots of whipped cream. The ambience of the place was kinda nice, it was sort of upscale with darker tones contrasted with white. I'm I'm not really too concerned with the way a place looks because I'm there for the food. In terms of service, it was excellent. The wait staff greeted us promptly and asked us what we wanted to drink, and those drinks came out very quickly. We decided to have the buffet instead of ordering off the menu. In terms of the food, the varieties was good, but the food was just average not enough heat for my liking everything was very bland In my opinion but tasty in terms of how it was prepared. The Tandoori chicken was very good though. Anything with a sauce was just average. Pricing was a bit high, but not unreasonable. I think the buffet was 16 or 17. I went there with a friend who suggested the place, but I probably won't go back since there are better options closer to me. read more

My husband and I got a Doordash gift card and were looking for a place to order some dinner while I was sick. We saw Kanak was running a deal, so we ordered some chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. I usually like a little bit of spice, but the 2/6 was too high for me. I will get 1/6 next time. The naan was thin, but really good. The masala had great flavor, but wasn't nearly as creamy as I am used to. However, I would still eat it again! The restaurant had my order ready quickly. Food alone, I'd give it a 2.5-3 star review. Been here a couple or a few times. First time or so, I have no real recollection as to good or bad, great or terrible, so it must have been pretty meh. This time I got the Chicken Tikka Biryani which comes with Raita (yogurt cucumber sauce). The Biryani was ordered 5/6 spice level, and was marked as such on the to-go dish. This had to be a 0/6. There was barely any flavor and absolutely NO heat. I'm slinging Sriracha and Tabasco quite liberally to attempt heat it up a little, mixing the Raita in when I notice a *crunch* and there's when the metal shaving gets noticed. So I don't know if it was in the Biryani or the Raita (as it was too large to pass through the hot sauce dispensers), but there it was. So, sub-par food that was borderline dangerous, not detectable spices, a drab interior with not even soft music playing, just silence. Guess that's to hear everything else, like the young couple helping their little kid decide between apple or orange juice. (Orange). Damnit, New Krishna's not open on Mondays! This is a solid, authentic Indian restaurant. Family owned. The flavors in the 3 curry dishes we ordered were fantastic. The garlic naan was huge, warm, freshly made. One of the best garlic naan's we've had. Good ambiance, friendly servers, comfortable, lots of easy parking. Definitely a place to return to for Indian food and will be one of my top go to places from now on. My only gripe was that the vegetable pakoras were delicious but super small and only 6 pieces. We also ordered take out before from here and it was equally delicious, but it seemed you got more food with take out than dining in. I ordered through uber eats. The food was delicious. I had the Vegetable Samosa(2), Chicken Tikka Masala, and Garlic Naan. Only managed to get a pic of the samosas because I was excited about dinnertime; and leftovers don't photograph as well - though they're still delicious! Overall, everything was well seasoned. Wow! This place has undergone a MASSIVE overhaul inside. Went from a hole in the wall to high end ambiance. Only reason I went back is due to seeing new pictures on their revamped website. Stopped in for lunch with two co-workers. We all had the buffet. While the decor and ambience is now top notch, the buffet unfortunately did not get the same upgrade. The food was 'just ok' and there were not many options. I really need to go back and try something off the menu. The same lady operates the restaurant. She also needs an upgrade as she is the same robotic non-friendly, non-smiling personality. There was only 2 other people in the place. Likely because they don't have repeat business. A 1 Star rating is far too generous, the place deserves negative stars if it were possible. Food lamps upon the buffet tables are not working well and my food temped to about 90° when I used a thermometer on my food after immediately placing on my plate. The food seems stale and from my time here the restaurant doesn't show signs of switching out old food for fresh which is a complete health hazard especially if food is not being kept at 140° or more. Disgusting. And to top it all off, I found what may have been a cockroach near one of the curries. The local health department will be notified, how dare this place risk the health of paying customers. read more

I have eaten here a few times, and I order the same thing every time I go to this or any Indian restaurant; Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Makhani (butter chicken), and some variety of Nan. Our most recent visit was during the quarantine, so no pictures of the dining area. However, from previous experience, the dining area is average for this type of restaurant. If anything, they could stand to let a bit more light in from the windows. The staff is always very friendly and patient with customers that are Indian food novices (me). We just got this to go and have ordered this a few times. I always get chicken saag and my husband likes the chicken matar. We havent gone as much since they stopped their coupons. Now we will never come back. The food that we ordered was disgusting. I am 9 months pregnant and barely ate any. My chicken saag was orange, the chicken was unseasoned, and the curry tasted watery. I called the restaurant and the person I spoke with said that the cook put too much cream in it and that he would give me a credit for next time. Then he hung up after that. I would have much preferred a refund from how awful this meal is. And my husband's chicken matar was not very flavorful either. Even with the "credit", we are never going back. So my sons and I ordered from kanak for thanksgiving. My bill was 70$. I eat Indian all The time in Miami and Cincinnati. They put the spice level I ordered on my kids food and none on mine. The problem is my order had nuts so we couldn't switch bc my oldest is allergic. Also, almost zero lamb in all dishes that were supposed to have it. This is the BEST Indian cuisine in Cincinnati! I've tried so many different items during buffet hours but also each Biryani they offer.
