This place truly is a gem in downtown Mason! With a rotating menu of small batch Indian meals, you can't go wrong. I would advise getting there early or calling in your order for pick up. One of my favorite menu items is the smoked butter chicken but would try anything on the menu. The service is personal and warm, the kind where you're treated like a regular even on your first visit making it all the more obvious that this place was built from passion. read more

It's a small hole in the wall place. I would highly encourage you to call before you visit this restaurant. Let me tell you the food was amazing. One of the best chicken tikka masala I have had in the US. The butter chicken was also very good. We tried the golguppa and it was excellent. Overall an excellent meal. Good service as well. read more

I read about this new restaurant in the Enquirer and was anxious to eat at this little place in Old Mason. It was so lovely to have chef Appy be so present in the meal experience. Her place only seats about 14 or so people so when we got there for lunch on a Thursday, we had to wait outside about 5 minutes for a table. The menu is whatever she decides to make that week and is about 4 or 5 items. We ordered one of everything to share (except dessert). Everything was great. The chicken in the Tikka Masala was tender and the lentils in the Dahl were great. I forget the names of the other two dishes, but they were good too. She was so friendly and stopped to talk with us during and at the end of our meal. We love supporting places like this! read more

Absolutely delicious! We ordered carry out. We tried a paneer dish with coconut and cashew cream, dal makhani, butter chicken, and garlic naan. I've been waiting for a place like this in Mason- a little hole with the wall with amazing Indian food. I am sad I didn't find it sooner! read more

I was so excited to try this place. Upon arrival at 1pm sharp, the owner turns me away and says they ran out of food.. What? Seriously? Who runs out of food only 2/3 into their lunch service? (Lunch is from 11am-2pm). Total waste of my time, thanks for nothing. I had to get back into my car and driver to a competitor for lunch. I was told I need to call to see if they still have food available. What restaurant does that? read more

My friend and I split the three items Chef Appy was offering bc why wouldn't you?! The dishes were Saag Paneer, Methi Chicken and Bagara Baingan served with rice. Oh my word!!! Outstanding!!! Chef Appy has a talent and love for her culture and food and you can taste it in every bite! Don't walk, RUN to My Kolorful Kitchen. read more

This is such a great find in downtown Mason. The weekly menu is posted online so be sure to check that out and come early as they often run out of the special before closing. Really love that there's always a vegetarian option! I tried the Chilli Paneer With Scallion Fried Rice and would definitely get again as it had a very unique sweet/spicy sauce. Service was super quick and friendly for takeout but there is also a small dine-in area available. read more

Great example of don't be fooled the size of the place. It's tiny, but her flavors are huge and on point. The owner is so nice and I love how she's sharing her journey of perfecting certain dishes on social. Definitely try it out to help the "Mom and Pop" places thrive. read more

Food is delicious, and the service was excellent. Brought IT team from India and they agreed it's very authentic. read more

When you dine at My Kolorful Kitchen, it is an experience in flavor; they dance on your tongue and bring happiness to your heart and stomach. The first time I ate here, I asked if I could move in. Every meal has been delicious and I always look forward to seeing what the menu is for the week. She posts it on Monday on FB on her My Kolorful Kitchen page. There are 2 options; a chicken dish and a vegetarian dish. Both are awesome! You can almost always do a half and half dish, which is what I like to do. That way you can taste both! She has started with an appetizer and dessert option weekly also. On top of the dine-in/pickup options, she has an extensive menu for pre-order foods on her website. You can order the day before for pick up the next day. There is something for everyone! Head in to MKK, sit for a spell, and enjoy! read more

This little gem in Mason is awesome! The menu is only 2 items - 1 meat, 1 vegetarian, the dining room is small - just like 6 small tables but it is legit like having lunch at your auntie's place. It's female owned but her family sometimes pops in to help with catering orders, etc. With that in mind, we popped in to visit for lunch on a Saturday afternoon when she happened to be open only for take out due to several catering orders. She saw it was us (as her regular guests) and we were bringing others to try her food for the first time, she invited us in and served us family style and left us be to enjoy lunch. Her food is delicious and she genuinely enjoys cooking for people. I am happy to support her small business. read more

Cute little neat new spot in Downtown Mason. Mughalai Chicken with rice was very flavorful with just the right amount of spices to hit the tastebuds in the right spots! Freshly made food is always great and the experience is wholesome when it's served with a smile and great service in a clean and inviting environment! Had the Achari Paneer to-go so looking forward to tasting that later! Tip: Ample Public Parking in the back of the building! read more

This is a hidden gem in Mason! While a small restaurant without a lot of flair in decor, the food & service are extraordinary! The owner is so sweet, as is her son who works there, and they took time to explain each thing in the menu. We had the Samosa Chaat appetizer (which easily could be a meal), Paneer Tikka Masala, MKK Butter Chicken, and Daal Makhani. Everything was fresh and so delicious with a real depth of flavor that I find lacking in many local Indian restaurants. They don't offer spice levels and say their dishes are mild to medium. I don't tolerate spicy foods well & found the food to be more than medium to medium. However, it isn't just hot, but flavorful, which makes it so you can actually still taste the food. I was able to tolerate the spicier than my usual preference because it was so delicious. Their MKK Butter Chicken is different than most, with a smoked flavor and a thinner sauce vs. the usual creamier gravy. Much to my surprise, my favorite dish was the Daal Makhani with yummy black lentils and such flavor. Their rice also was perfectly cooked. Portions are generous & my lunch-sized portion gave me lunch the next day as well. I love MKK kitchen and definitely will be back! read more

Delicious and authentic! Every dish I've tried was fantastic. My new "go to" lunch takeout place!

Had lunch with a few friends here. Chef Appy was very friendly & gracious with everyone. The restaurant is elegantly decorated but relatively small.. so probably not appropriate for larger groups for dine-in. Food was awesome! read more

This place just opened up right down the toad from my office and I had to give it a try. A co-worker and I both got their Chicken Tikka Briyani. This was my first time having this dish and I am hooked already. The flavors are bold and bright with just the right amount of spice. I can't wait to see what they come up with next cause I'm probably gonna get it and love it as well. read more

I went for the first time yesterday. AMAZING!!!! Everything was so fresh and the service and hospitality was top notch! I ate everything and forgot to get pictures! read more

Owner is so kind and has such a lovely menu! The daal makhani was the best I've ever had! Highly recommend checking out!!

Overpriced and flavorless food!! The food was mediocre and way overpriced for the quality. The presentation was okay but the food was tasteless. We went there after reading the reviews but was really bummed out. I love Indian food but this place was disappointing. I never write any reviews but this experience was really bad so couldn't help myself. Would not recommend. read more

Love eating here! They have amazing vegetarian options. We regularly grab meals during lunch to then warm up and eat at dinner. It's so tasty! We first tried the food when they would provide dishes at Adesso Coffee. So glad they now are permanently in downtown Mason! read more

Best Indian food in Ohio hands down. Every day they serve 2 different fresh home cooked meals, one vegetarian and one with chicken. You can find their weekly menu on their website or on their Instagram page, so you can come in and grab it or do a preorder online. Today was my first time in and I tried both the chicken dish (which was curry leaf chicken) and the veg dish (which was chole (chickpea) tikki) They were both excellent dishes, and not too spicy for those of you out there who get deterred by that. 10/10 recommend this to anyone, what could be better than homemade Indian food??! read more

Yummy food! I had chicken and rice fresh hot food was on my table within 5 min so that was very convenient for lunch when you might not have enough time. It's a cute little place the menu options are limited but all you need is 1 good dish anyway with just the right spices not too mild and not too hot Or maybe 2 if you want to takeout 1 for home read more

Love it. New Indian spot in downtown Mason. Female owned restaurant that has a daily menu of two dishes - one meat, one veg. Everything here is made fresh daily and with only two items per day you know it's going to be good. I had the Shahi Mixed Veg which is a medley of veggies cooked in a cream and tomato gravy. Some Indian restaurants skimp on the fillings but not Kolorful Kitchen, the gravy was absolutely packed with veggies. Paired with jasmine rice and your taste buds are in heaven. You have to try this place. read more

A nice quaint little Indian Eatery in Mason Downtown. They have only 2 options and I think it is one veg and the other non-veg. We went today and the menu was smoked Butter Chicken and Chickpea Masala and I must say that food was just so fresh and delicious. The owner was so warm and nice it almost felt like we were eating a dream meal at home. The cardamom mousse was delectable, so fluffy and light. I avoid eating at Indian places in the afternoon as post lunch I experience a food coma like situation. But the feel is quite the opposite here, I feel light and ready to go. If you do plan to eat here, pls call in and reserve your dish as they sell out pretty fast. read more
