We continue to love this place after many years. Service is usually provided by family members but they are always friendly and go out of their way to make sure that we are taking care of. Ambiance is comfortable and friendly. Food has always been amazing! We always sample different things and enjoy it every time. This is a super easy place to come to. Parking is plentiful out front and there is plenty of street parking in case if their private lot is full. There is plenty on the menu and we thoroughly enjoy everything! I typically get one of their sampler platters. It just has everything on it from naan to good pallet cleansers and then overall good proteins with curry. It has always been superb and well worth it! I think this place might be owned by The same family or they are related to the family that owns one of the other Indian restaurants that we enjoy going to. Everything is pretty on par with them so we know we are always getting good food every time we come. Nothing really much else to say except this place is definitely a winner and it has been around for quite a while. Definitely worth a visit for some good Indian food! read more

Just had this delivered for the first time. Had a deal on Grubhub so decided to try it out. Food came on time and hot. But the food was clearly lacking. Got mushroom Mater and veggie pakora. Pakora wasn't crispy. And the food was so bland. Just seemed really off. read more

One of our family's favorite Indian restaurants, and we have gone for many years. We appreciate that the level of heat can be adjusted to one's tastes, as several family members are more heat tolerant than others. (I think it is on a scale of 1-6, if I remember correctly.) The chicken and paneer saags are both wonderful, as is the chicken tikka saag and chicken tikka masala. We also enjoy the vegetarian thali, the garlic naan and raita. A word of warning about the Garlic Gobbi --WOW. The garlic is plentiful, bordering on overwhelming (and I love garlic). A battalion of vampires would be felled by this dish. I do miss when this was BYOB, but such is life. read more

This used to be one of the better Indian restaurants in Cincinnati and we went there frequently. It changed hands and the quality plummeted. We gave it a chance by going back several times but each time was a disappointment. It isn't bad, it just isn't as good as it used to be. The food no longer captures the unique flavors of Indian spices and sauces. It's more like corporate food, bland and uninteresting. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is cozy and not too noisy, but we will be seeking better Indian fare elsewhere. read more

This review is for a dine-in experience. Pros: - Menu is pretty extensive. - Location has plenty of parking - Food is good, temperature and taste wise. Portions are very good, especially the Naan. - Food came out in a decent amount of time for a party of two. - Prices are competitive. - Server was friendly. Cons: - Inattentive service. Luckily we weren't in a rush. I think they get a lot of carryout/Doordash orders, so it takes their attention away from the dining room. - It smells funky like your Grandmas basement. I don't know if they need to vent the kitchen better, are burning incense, or its just musty. - Dining room is a bit disorganized (boxes of product laying out) and needs dusted. Full boxes of kleenex on the table is odd. Ketchup bottles are gross (what is ketchup for at an indian restaurant anyway?) - There is no need for TVs in the dining room. Who goes to a restaurant (vs. sports bar) to watch tv? The music playing from the TV, which is supposed to add to the ambience, is really repetitive and gets rather annoying. Wanted a heavy meal to fill us up before our next flight and boy this place does not disappoint. At under $20 per order, the meal was more than superfluous. Tastes amazing too. Will definitely be back for more if we ever rotate through CVG next time. However, the wait times can be a bit longer due to their continuous UberEats orders coming in and them putting the priority on take outs. Even at an off peak time at 330pm we waited for our food close to 40mins. But the portions and the flavors definitely made up for it. read more

New to the area and thought I'd try this spot. Name sounded authentically Indian but the chicken biriyani isn't. It's got average flavor but isn't the classic biriyani chicken you would get at any place. I thought it was edible enough to finish the whole container but my partner definitelly wasn't pleased. Good chicken quantity for the size of the entree portion however. The food gets 3 stars Unfortunately that wasn't the main reason for the two stars. The service was one star. We ordered online on their website and paid. Came in 20 mins after and had to wait 30 more minutes to find out that they never started the order... imagine the level of frustration I was in... a little had to do with being hangry, but come on 1 hour? Unfortunate.. the front guy taking all the orders was probably new so I wasn't too annoyed and we weren't in a major rush but the cook in the back deserves a recheck on his attitude. You can over hear him saying "I don't care" several times. I'm not sure if that's normal culture around there but I'm sure if that improves, the service improves as a result. Seating looked ok to sit at and music could be improved upon with general Indian music to add to the whole experience. Parking is right outside which is convenient. read more

I've been ordering from Dusmesh for a while and I gotta say! So far it's been 10/10. I've tried four or so different meals with my favorite being lamb vindaloo with garlic naan! The portions are enough for me to get an extra meal out of it. They are open late enough I can get food after going climbing! I highly recommend it! read more

Dusmesh is truly a hidden gem in Cincinnati and very well may be the BEST Indian Resturant in the whole city. From the service, to the food, everything at Dusmesh is fantastic! The owners are the sweetest people and cannot do enough for you as well! My boyfriend and I came here for dinner the other night. We ordered tomato & onion salad and vegetable samosas. Both appetizers were great. The veggies were fresh and it had the perfect amount of dressing. (I am a big fan of dressing! So ask for less if you aren't a dressing fan.) The samosa was the perfect texture and taste. For our entrees, I ordered the shrimp masala which I thoroughly enjoyed! The masala sauce was fantastic and definitely is the kind of sauce you crave! I cannot wait to go back and dip Naan bread in the delicious masala sauce. My boyfriend ordered the chicken tikka masala and LOVED it! He asked for it to be a bit more spicy and he said the taste was perfect. In conclusion, I will DEFINITELY be back to Dusmesh! I cannot wait to try more things on their menu as well! read more

We ordered delivery from here recently, and the food was good, which is why I'm going to stick with a 3-star rating. But the experience waiting to get the food really left something to be desired. Dusmesh is about 10 minutes from our home, but it took two hours to get our order. We called the restaurant when it was about 10 minutes past our estimated delivery time. The restaurant tried to reach out to the delivery driver, but he wasn't answering his phone. He apparently had driven to Kentucky to drop off an order there first, which is definitely not in the direction of our home. We were getting increasingly hungry and impatient, and our food showed up about two hours after we had placed our order. It obviously was not as hot as it should have been considering it was sitting in someone's car for well over an hour, so we first had to re-heat it so we could eat. Overall, a very disappointing delivery experience, and the restaurant really slacked on communicating with us proactively. read more

We have had some really great dinners here in the past. Those days are clearly gone. We pulled into a nearly empty parking lot. The railing on the walkway was broken just laying there. We went inside and didn't see anyone for almost 5 minutes before they asked us if we wanted to have a seat. The inside looks rundown, needs painting. They hadn't bothered to put wine or beer in the case boxes were sitting everywhere. Someone from the kitchen was sitting in the lobby, playing music or a TV show or something on their phone that we could hear throughout the entire restaurant the music was skipping. And the most unforgivable of all is it really look like the food had come from a can. I really hope someone come through there and straighten this place out. They need a new perspective. They need to awareness of the details. They've been slowly leaving for the next day. We won't be back. read more

I ordered two orders of paneer makhani, garlic naan, and paneer pakora. carryout. Received chicken in the makhani and the pakora. We are vegetarian. We didn't realize it was chicken until we started eating it after I got home. I called to ask if they could just make an order of the paneer cheese and that we would scoop out the chicken rather than asking them to remake the order. I was told that since she repeated the order back to me on the phone when placing it that they would not remake anything. Honestly, it was hard to hear her when I placed the order. $43.00 down the drain. I haven't eaten chicken in 20 years but it was tough and dry, I imagine even if I was a meat eater I would have been disappointed. This review is only based on my experience with delivery. We have ordered on multiple occasions from Dusmesh and it has been delicious every time. Most recently we tried the lamb biryani and it is my new favorite Indian dish. The flavors are complex and all of the ingredients go together so well. We went with a spice level 3 and that was the perfect level of spice for me. Another standard favorite of mine is paneer pakora. It is essentially deep fried Indian cheese, but I think Dusmesh has an extra edge on other places in that the breading is well seasoned. We also tried an order of keema samosas- which are samosas filled with beef. They were amazing and I highly recommend trying them! read more

I'd heard a few people call this the best Indian food in the city, and as someone who eats a LOT of Indian food at every given opportunity, I was blown away by how good the food here was. Despite the delivery cost being on the high end, when I want to go all out and really indulge myself with great Indian food, this is where I order from. I've had a few dishes, (chicken tikka masala, a few of the vegetarian options, the naan, etc.) and they've all been fantastic. I've never been inside, but I've driven past a few times. It looks unassuming from the outside, but now I'm very motivated to check out the inside once it's safe! read more

Chicken Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan, Mango Juice & Gulab Jaman for dessert. I chose spice level 3 and it was perfect. Enough heat to bring just a little sweat to my brow and TONS of flavor! The rice was fluffy and fragrant with cumin and the naan was absolutely perfect!! The mango juice was sweet without being overly sweet and topped off the dinner perfectly. It was -1° F outside (a cold, bitter winter night) but the staff inside Dusmesh could not have had a more warm and inviting attitude. From beginning to end it was just so incredibly pleasant to have a meal here. My first visit to Dusmesh was over 6 years ago, and there's a reason why the lot is still packed every night: they know how to do Indian food right! The food is high quality and there's a very genuine attention to good service. On my last visit I got the CTM and sampled the kebab: both were spiced perfectly. Overall based on the service and quality, I'd say Dusmesh is a cut above many of the other Indian restaurants in town. (Also: it's BYOB so grab a drink before you head in!) read more

This is a little locally owned restaurant in Clifton. This is the first time I heard about this place, I was pleasantly pleased and happy I was invited to have dinner with my friends. This place was small, but it seemed that it's well liked since there's not a lot of parking left, I have to park on the street which I'm glad it's allowed. I choose not to order any appetizers, but the menu offers a lot of options. For my dinner I ordered the lamb and shrimp that comes with naan bread and rice. The portion was very generous, it can be good for two people, but since I'm hungry I devoured my meal. My food is just perfect- it taste delicious! You don't need any condiments to make it taste better. You have to come to this place to try what I'm trying to express here.
