Identity crisis??? Went in confused and left feeling confused. Is it Enson Harbor or Catch & Cut?? If it's a re-brand, there is no sign of one except a poorly hung banner over the front entrance. The parchment paper, bags, and bibs say Enson Harbor. Either way, this marketing issue is clearly having an effect on business as at 6:30pm on a beautiful Saturday evening there were 5 tables in the place, likely duped as we were! As "Catch & Cut" the menu has many options, in my opinion too many to turnover safely for "fresh" seafood options given the total lack of customers in there. Certainly gave us pause enough to order only fried options (which on par with let's say Dairy Queen, but even that may be an insult to DQ). So meter this review with that in mind. On top of all of this, our server let us know that management was offering staff $10 per good review on Google, and a chance to be entered for a $100 gift! Ah yes, bribery! Through NO fault of the staff there, we will not be back. To the ownership/management... what are we doing??? Great location severely underutilized.

It's a cute "waterside" spot. The server was friendly but slow. The soup dumplings were flavorless and missing the soup. The scallion pancake was just OK. The boba tea was good but the actual boba was not freshly cooked and came out of a bag. For $6+ I expected better. The auto 15% is weird too for this kind of place.

I ordered via door dash: lo mein with veg, pork dumplings, crab Rangoons The order was complete and ready when promised. I've been meaning to try this place but was still salty Joe's Crab Shack is gone. And apparently I'm not the only one, while I went at an unpopular time, there were mayyybeee 3 staff members and less than 10 customers. I feel so bad for the staff. The lo mein was fine with the veggies tasting fresh and the crab rangoons were good, but small and only 4 (and are wrapped in a thin and crispy rice paper, not a deep fried puffy dough, just fyi)- which was fair for the price, I think. The pork dumplings, imo, were bland and maybe undercooked? I could only eat one and looking back, I wish I hadn't finished the one. Can't say I'd go for the ambiance and they're still trying to draw in the Joe's crowd so there's left over stuff from that and weird country music on the radio. But I will likely try to go back during a slightly more busy time. They certainly deserve kudos for trying.

Came in and was seated promptly. Washed my hands and sat down. Ordered the Rizzp drink. It had absolutely no alcohol. Ordered the fried wings. They were ok. Nothing special. Very basic. Also to note, the table was sticky. I also ordered the black pepper beef. Omg is it delicious. The vegetables cooked to crispy crunchy perfection. Lots of beef. Lots of flavor. This alone is worth coming back for. The beef and broccoli was beautiful too. The waitress was pretty much non existent and didn't seem to care our drinks were empty. I'll order to go.

So glad I finally made it here. First of all it was a gorgeous night and we sat on the deck. Great outside seating area. We shared chicken dumplings and I had fried green beans and my friend had black pepper chicken. Everything delicious There is an assortment of dim sum dumplings and even boiled seafood with corn and sausages. We will be back

We had cravings for some soup dumplings, so naturally gave Enson Harbor a try! The restaurant itself is spacious with plenty of indoor seating. They have an outdoor patio, which could be nice in the summer. Overall experience was good, however there is a big disparity in food quality depending on what you get. Our server was great -- they explained the menu and gave some recommendations. We opted for the Thai tea drink to start which was delicious and refreshing. On the sweeter side but no complaints here. For food, we started with the chicken wings and fried rice. Unfortunately, both were unappetizing. Both dishes were inundated with fried onion straws, and so the flavors with single noted with way too much salt. On the other hand, the pork soup dumplings were great! Crispy on the bottom and juicy on the inside. It was a bit confusing since these dishes didn't seem like they came from the same kitchen. The difference in quality was remarkable. All this to say, the overall experience really depends on what you order. My advice would be take a look at the past reviews and see what people have enjoyed before.

Made to order dim sum restaurant without the carts. My wife and son have been here before and loved it. A family tradition is to do Dim Sum on New Years Day. We decided to go here instead of Uncle Yips or Grand Oriental in Mason. The restaurant wasn't very crowded. Today was our waitresses 2nd day. It showed. I'm trying to not let it cloud my review. We ordered won ton soups and she typed into her tablet. This was challenging for her. Then she exclaimed we are all out; probably due to our lunch special (it was 1PM) where you could get an egg roll, soup and meal bowl for 9.99. Unusual to be out of a basic item like wonton soup, but we went with the corn chowder. It wasn't bad not as heavy as others that I have had elsewhere. Could have been better, but again I wanted Wonton soup. We asked for water for the table and my wife and I asked for hot tea. My son ordered a Hokkaido Milk Tea (Brown Sugar Crystal Boba with Rainbow Jelly). I typed it from the receipt. He thought it was great. Our waitress kept forgetting to bring the water and the tea came in a miniscule cup with a tea bag. I would have expected to have a tea pot for the table like traditional Chinese restaurants. The Items we ordered were: Sesame Shrimp toast, Fried Shrimp Balls, Pan Fried Pork Buns, Char Siu Bao, Fried Fish Balls and Shrimp & Pork Shumai. Everything cost more that other Dim sum places but you also got a higher quantity on most items. The char siu bao pork buns had a weird liquidy taste. My wife and son love them. I gave it a C. The fish balls were horrible. The Shrimp toast with Sesame was OK. The Shumai was very good. Our items came out in a random order, which was weird given that there was almost more employees than tables filled. My wife wanted a view of the river. It was a nice view but cold. This is the old Joe's Crab Shack restaurant. The ceiling was interesting - made of dim sum baskets. The chairs were uncomfortable steel chairs. The floor was typical of a casual dockside restaurant. Oh well - can't win them all. This is definitely a 3 to 3.5 star for me - 5 star for my wife and son. Also it was disgusting that they didn't clear a dirty table next to us for 45 minutes. You could tell they had kids by the mess and almost full Milk Teas. I have a picture of this.

The ambiance was pretty nice, but it was in no way Asian. The views are great. I'd come back just to eat outside when the weather is nice. Our server was quite helpful. As she entered our orders into the iPad like ordering device, soups began to arrive while we were still placing our orders. It was surprising, but also seems like a very efficient process. I have to mention there are no descriptions on the menu, which makes it difficult to determine what will be delivered to the table. Case in point, my Wonton Soup, which was unlike any wonton soup I've ever had. It was full of crispy onions, just like French's. The flavor was good, but boy was it odd. The soup included three wontons, which had an odd flavor. It also included two very large green vegetables. They were so large it was nearly impossible to pick them up with the spoon and there was no way to cut them into smaller pieces. I can't recommend the Wonton Soup. Others at the table had Hot and Sour soup and enjoyed it. I ordered Jumbo Shrimp Dumplings, which were delicious. We were a group of five and three meals came out quickly, including my dumplings. Two folks waited and waited for their meals. We had to ask for them. Mark mentioned his meal was not hot and the chicken was dry. Linda agreed. I think their meals had been missed and sat too long. I was the only one that go dessert and I opted for the Purple Yam Wu Lou. I was pleased when two pieces arrived. I could have shared, but opted against it because they were quite yummy. They were served warm, which was a plus. Nicely sweet, but in no way too sweet. If we do come back I think we'll stick with dumplings; they seem to do them pretty well.

Overall disappointing experience. Came back for girls night because we loved it so much the first time. All 3 of my friends and I were not satisfied with our food or service. To start, the soup dumplings were not very soupy at all? The crab rangoon looked like something you'd pull out of your freezer at home. I ordered the general tso chicken paid extra for fried rice. I have a previous review of this dish and it was very good and the color of the sauce is completely different now (see photos). The "fried rice" was white rice with some tasteless dark sauce on it. that's it. not even fried and no veg or egg? My friend and I were incredibly confused and it did not taste good. Lastly, our server was kind but he only gave us 3/4 waters asked for and took an incredibly long time to log our orders and messed up our checks. At the end, he asked us to leave a good google review for him. I'm sorry but that's just not acceptable. Probably won't be returning after this.

We went for lunch on a Thursday. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside which gave us an amazing view. This was our first time here so we had questions. Unfortunately, the server was unable to answer them. She didn't even know there was a lunch menu. So maybe a little more training is in order. We ordered soup dumplings as an appetizer. Unfortunately, they were served with the meal instead. They were ok. I thought they were a little dry. My husband ordered a shrimp dish with a fruit sauce. He said it was ok, nothing he'd order again. I ordered Mongolian Beef which I thought was quite good. This was our first time there and nothing wowed so it doesn't make me want to come back.

I had heard that Enson Harbor had changed concepts and was now serving boba and dim sum, so I wanted to try it. We go in, and the ambiance is so strange. It looks like they kept the "harbor" and seafood vibe of the original concept, but then added a bunch of stuffed animal pandas everywhere. I am not exaggerating. We had a fun time playing I Spy with all the pandas. Honestly, the food was ok. I liked the crab ragoons but wish they came with a chili sauce. The bao buns were good, but I didn't like all the veggies in it. The chicken dumplings were ok. However, the pan fried pork buns were incredible. I loved them so much and I will absolutely go back just for those. They had a lot of other things on the menu, including the boba, that I did not get a chance to try and hope to soon. I just hope that they consider redecorating

Our next trip to Cincinnati; It will be extremely difficult to stay away from here. We spent the day in Newport and around Cincinnati and wanted somewhere nice for the occasion. I was iffy on this place at first... you can throw a rock all over America and hit a place with 'Barrel' in the name these days. The Yelp reviews swing both ways here but I'm here to tell you my take... because it swings so far towards the 5 stars that it's very much a 6 or 7 star place(maybe more). We gauged our arrival time based on other activities that day. We wanted ample time at the nearby Lego exhibit so when we arrived there, we made a reservation for 4:30-5. Eating early and making our way back to Louisville was a great idea. The entire time we were there, no one else came in so we had the entire place to ourselves(It was a Friday). The atmosphere is homey but during busy times, I could see it being noisy. The booths could easily fit 6 people comfortably... probably 8 in some cases depending on how wide some of you are. Special Note: This place highlights The Parrillada Experience for Two on their menu and we wanted it! We didn't order it because at a price tag of 130-and pictures online, we didn't want it to be a failed outing. After our first trip, The Parrillada Exp will be on the agenda next time. It's a mixture of different steaks, sausages, shrimp, sides, and salads. Definitely worth the cost. On to the food: Sausage App - Argentine Chorizo. Farmhouse Sausage. Grilled Ciabatta. Hearts of Palm. Green/Red chimichurri. Pepper Relish. I don't like ordering this type of dish when I go places because you never know if it's going to be delicious or very bad. It ended up being super delicious. We couldn't make up our mind which sauce we liked the best and which meat we liked the best. App PERFECTION! Land and Sea - This is what my wife went with. Asada Skirt Steak. Jumbo Shrimp. Asparagus. Red chimichurri butter. I had bites of the shrimp and it was good. I had to save room for my dish. Wagyu Denver Cut - I went back and forth. Lobster ravioli being on the menu almost made my decision instant but I was going back and forth between ravioli, steak, and a few other things. I asked the server which he recommended of the 4 Chef's cuts. He recommended two... one of which was the Wagyu so I went with it. I wasn't disappointed AT ALL. He mentioned that the Wagyu Denver Cut was a new addition to the menu... I'm not sure but you could definitely tell it was cooked, arranged, and presented with care. I savored every angle of every bite. We also ordered a side of brussels because of course! Originally we were going to dessert somewhere else but went ahead and ordered the Hazelnut Vanilla Creme Brulee here. Perfect ending to the meal. This brulee was light and had the right amount of crunch. It was also larger than expected. We had no complaints with this place. Easily one of the better restaurants I've had in Cincinnati. If you're doubting visiting this place, take the dive! Other notes: They have beer and a small cocktail variety but they primarily seem focused on wine(plenty of options to choose from).

The service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and kept drink refills flowing. We ordered the pretzel and beer cheese and the poutine for starters. The pretzel was huge and tasty. I didn't care for the beer cheese, probably because I was expecting a more solid cheese product. I would describe this more as a cream sauce. It didn't seem to have much cheese in it and was very 'liquidy'. Also the ramekin was only half full. If it had tasted better, I would have asked for more, but as it was not, we didn't even finish what was given. I thought it was a bit pricey at $12.95 for one large pretzel. On the other hand, the poutine was fantastic! A very unique take on the dish with a mix of cheese curds (although they reminded me more of pieces of mozzarella sticks), french fries and Andouille cream gravy. I ordered the fish tacos which consisted of Blackened Salmon, Thai Chili Sauce, Black Bean Corn Salsa, Pico de Gallo. My order came with two and they were fantastic! Since Blinkers is known for steaks, I will have to give them another try at dinner time.

The ambiance in the bar area is the reason to go to Jeff Ruby's. It's beautiful, particularly in…read morethe winter months. For us, having Cole Thompson as part of the team caring for us was an even bigger highlight. Cole is one of the kindest and most skilled servers we have had in Cincinnati. He has an instinct for exactly when and how to serve the table so as not to interrupt the meal. He takes quiet initiative to make sure everything at the table is as it should be. He is relatively new, and his hiring tells me new managers, like Daniel, are steering the restaurant in the right direction. Friends, I have been avoiding Ruby's ever since I took my out-of-town relatives there last year, and was completely embarrassed by the obsequious service we received. It was truly awful. It was cringe. The server enquired of, and kept calling my guests by, their first names. All the server had to do was see the looks on their faces and how they recoiled every time the server approached the table to see this was not appreciated. The meal was all about them, the servers. Their constant dialogue about themselves was disturbing and jarring. It was obvious to me that this patter was being taught. These servers were being formally trained to run the table as if it were dinner theatre. Gruesome. Therefore, I made this week's reservation with some trepidation. However, having Cole Thompson serve us changed all of that. We will be back again this month. Foodwise, the Freddie Salad is delicious. The king crab legs and jumbo prawn cocktail are exactly as they should be. I would appreciate a few simply prepared green vegetable offerings to pair with the steak. And for the menu items at Ruby's, the more simply prepared are the best. (By the way, "rare" really does mean rare for steaks at Ruby's! All other steakhouses in the area serve medium rare when rare is ordered.) I think Ruby's needs to bring in a young, innovative but classically trained chef to address how meals are plated and served, and to tweak the menu a bit. I think they need more flair and care at this price point. The organization showed this kind of intelligence when creating the new space, which feels fresh while still delivering the coziness imparted by tradition. The same constructive approach to the food would be intelligent.

Took a chance on getting into Sotto tonight. Drove down there and put ourselves on the waitlist for…read morethe bar. Love walking down those steps, waiting for your eyes to adjust, while knowing you're somewhere special. Luckily, after not too long of a wait we were seated!! We had the most amazing bartenders, Trevor was fantastic! They all were. We had another absolutely out of this world meal. Love their oil packed tuna, their bistecca fiorentina and the pappardelle al cinghiale!! Unfortunately, we had no room for dessert so we're going to have to go back again to eat more. Haha Oh and we actually tried their Blue Oven bread for the first time and it was incredible. What a fabulous restaurant! So lucky to have it here in Cincinnati! We don't even miss La Normandie anymore!

First time in Cincinnati -- dined at Sotto the evening after the Flying Pig Half…read more I went solo and sat at the bar. The ambiance is intimate and very dim, mostly candlelit. It's a nice vibe, though definitely on the darker side. I ordered the black kale salad, cappellacci (short rib, shallot, thyme), and the branzino. * The kale salad was solid, but a bit heavy on the pecorino. * The cappellacci was decent, though the accompanying elements didn't quite work for me. * The branzino was cooked well, but overall the dish didn't stand out in flavor. In general, the food felt underwhelming for the price. My bill was around $100, and I didn't feel the quality or flavor justified it. Some dishes came across a bit muted -- not sure if that's the intended style, but it didn't land for me. Parking in the area was also a bit inconvenient. Overall: great ambiance, but the food didn't meet expectations for the cost. I probably wouldn't return.
