Ate my weight in butter (with a side of shellfish) and couldn't be happier. I love me a seafood boil, and the Cajun flavor is on point. Plastic bibs, gloves, and a shell bucket mean you're in for a good time! I've seen this place for a while but had not been in yet. My neighbor and I decided to try it out and can't wait to go back. They had a great daily special that was a crab leg and shrimp boil and then also $5 happy hour drinks. The server we had was great but they didnt help her with the large party. The owner calls back after after a couple people in my party gave a bad review online. He was just mad about the review. He was not calling to apologize. Said we didnt reserve when we did. People got food cold, late or didnt get food at all. He didnt even try to listen to improve the poor service. The server was great but should've had help for a party our size (23 people). The owner was rude and his customer service was horrible. They had our server bring out food in batches so it took almost 2 hours for everybody to get their complete order. One person in our party NEVER got her food and he didn't seem to care and didn't even want to talk to her about it, so after hearing she wanted to talk to the owner they finally bring her food out but she still wanted to talk to the owner so he finally talked to her ​and was not apologetic at all and just wanted to argue and refused to even offer her a discount or comp her food. The server was nice but they should have given her help with a large party. Some was cold and some people didnt even get their food. First time trying this place out and I would say it's good for the money. The amount of food (shrimp) I got was worth it but I was sad when they forgot my sausages and the portion size was small. I had gotten the house seasoning if I remember correctly I would say it's a bit on the salty side. Our waiters were amazing she made sure we were good and got everything and fixed the issue with my missing sausages lol. My husband has been craving a crab boil and we found this place that was only 20 minutes from our home in Anderson. I am SO GLAD that we went here! The decor reminded me of a restaurant you would find in Myrtle Beach. Our server, Jordan, was very sweet and our food came out quickly after we ordered. My son got an order of mozzarella sticks and hush puppies and my husband and I split a crab boil with mussels, shrimp, crab legs, corn and potatoes. We went with our servers suggestion and got to the Mr Crab seasoning and it was amazing! Everything was fresh and hot and we were so full we couldn't finish our plates. Our first time and I will go back again & again. We ordered The Perfect Storm seafood boil and it was amazing! Food was excellent and more than enough for two. Everything tasted fresh & delicious and service was very good. Great meal for the price, especially for fresh seafood in Ohio. Atmosphere was very welcoming and staff were extremely friendly. AMAZING Seafood boil for a deal of a price at this wonderful resturant! Pros: Price, Flavor, Freshness, Interior, Staff. Cons: None Tried this spot while out for groceries and I was blown away. For starters the interior (while not my style) was very well decorated, organized, and very clean! Our hostess was super friendly and spoke Mandarin with us, we got to meet the boss of the restaurant, and our waiters regularly stopped by to make sure we were taken care of with gloves, wipes, and anything we could need. We ordered snow crab during their BOGO deal as well as mussels and calamari. Everything came out hot and their custom sauce was my favorite. The boils was perfect where the potato and corn we super soft but not mushy. Crab came off as easy as crab can and the other seafood was tender but not chewy. For two people 3 pounds of seafood plus a extra helping of potatoes was satisfying but a little more would have filled me up so either go 2 pounds per person or add more sides. We didn't even get to try their special skewer BBQ item. Im glad to have found a true 10/10 experience and I am looking forward to going back with a big group. Good seafood boil place in Cincy!! Never tried a seafood boil before, it's really fun to eat and they taste delicious!! They were doing buy 1 get 1 snow crab legs when we went there that day. My bf and I order 3lbs of seafood (2 lbs of snow crab legs, 1/2 caramel, 1/2 mussel). They came with corn and potato. The size of the food is reasonable. And the quality of the food is amazing. Highly recommend to try their house sauce!! They also have some other food items other than seafood boil. I used to love this place, but after my last visit, I won't be returning. I felt almost racially profiled by the owner and cook over a $3.50 egg issue, which was incredibly uncomfortable. My friend's meal had unclean clams and shrimp that had to be sent back. When the food was returned, the eggs were missing. We mentioned this to our server, but things quickly escalated. The owner brought out the cook--who came from the back with his phone in hand, still wearing cleaning gloves--to show us security footage of an egg supposedly being eaten. Not only was that invasive and unprofessional, but he then went straight back to cooking without changing gloves. We spent over 40 minutes going back and forth about the eggs, which we ended up paying for just to end the ordeal. On top of that, a young child was running around the restaurant and even seen in the kitchen assisting the cook--completely unacceptable from a health and safety standpoint. I used to love this place but now it seems they have got so popular the food and service has become lackluster. They had a special going on but a pound of crab legs get a pound of anything else for free . That's cool but it's a Saturday night and they have two servers . We were seated after a 10 minute wait but didn't get drinks for 30 minutes after searing because there was too many tables and a birthday party going on yet not enough staff. Once our order came my shrimp was undercooked but by the time ther server came back around to ask how the food was it wasn't worth sending it back. This place needs to add more staff for busy nights or make customers wait longer for a table to ensure better service. It was also FREEZING cold in the place which was an uncomfortable dining experience. Please get better and go back to being great again ! read more

We had the Mr. Catch for $56.99 a (see my posted menu) we picked 1lb of snow crab legs, 1lb of clams & 1lb of crawfish with their popular Mr. Crab Special blend sauce which is a combination of cajun and garlic butter. This place got a full star for service and again makes me wish Yelp gave 1/2 star options because I'd give them a solid 4.5. I had a HORRIBLE experience with DoorDash so I ended up having to go pick up the part of my order they forgot. The staff at Crab House was excellent at remaking my order and even let me try their special house creamy sauce (which is DELICIOUS! try it). The Perfect Storm catch meal is HUGE and the food was well cooked. It easily could serve 2 people with lots of crab, shrimp and an abundance of mussels. The whiting basket was good, though the fish could have used a bit more seasoning. Inside this place is taking social distancing measures and wasn't crowded. New seafood restaurant in Pleasant Ridge is located across from the triumph dealership in an unassuming strip mall. As most odd "hole in the wall" locations are, this place is legit! We ordered pick-up via their website (I don't think they do doordash, Grubhub or Uber eats at least not yet) and even though we had a 30 minute drive home, the food was still hot and fresh when we ate it! We were worried that the french fries and fried calamari would not travel well, but that did not end up being the case. Here's what we ordered: Fried calamari Shrimp po'boy with fries Cajun boil with mr. crab's special sauce Fried calamari was delicious, crispy and on point. The shrimp po'boy was a bit of a disappointment for us- pretty small for an almost $15 sandwich and lacking in flavor. The shrimp were big and perfectly fried, so that was a plus- but didn't live up to our po'boy standards otherwise. I guess if you don't like spice this might be a good sandwich for you to get - but we wished it had sauce on it or something! If they aren't going to put sauce on the sandwich ok, but at least give it on the side for free! The Cajun boil with mr. crabs special sauce was excellent value and damn delicious!!! Totally exceeded our expectations and made us feel like our taste buds were visiting Nola. We also had a couple of days of leftovers, which was extra nice!! I absolutely love this place, and go often when I'm craving seafood boil. The atmosphere is definitely casual by design: the menus are paper, the plates are plastic, the glasses are mason jars with handles, and the napkins are supplied by a large paper napkin dispenser at the end of the table. But when you get into the spirit of it, you realize that the food is amazing. I love that you can get half-pounds of your choice of seafood, so I always get the crab claws and shrimp. Very fresh, with a taste I didn't think was possible this far from the shores, and the Mr. Crab special blend sauce is amazing!!! Plus a shoutout to the hushpuppies, which are always excellent. My friends got the baskets and were equally pleased. All with pleasant, relaxed, and attentive service. Have come here quite a few times, dining in and take out. I think I would give them a 3.5 star rating overall. Overall, really good. With a little fine tuning I would have given them four. Mind you, this place can be a bit pricey but it comes with this type of food. The atmosphere is that of a standard seafood boil place. Pretty open with plenty of seating. The music is 90s to modern of adult hits. Social distancing hasn't been much of an issue despite how busy these guys are given the good space. The menu is pretty straight forward. A bunch of fried appetizers except for some lonely oysters. Salads with the choice of having a fried protein on top. Po' boy sandwiches. Odd enough, one pasta dish that has a mix of seafood options. Sides are, again, some type of fried option. I have really never ordered much of that above. I simply come here for the seafood "boils." The reason I put the boil in quotes is that I am pretty sure these guys rely on steaming. The process is straightforward including choosing ones seafood (shrimp, crawfish, mussels, clams, crabs, lobster) and choose a sauce, followed by spiciness. Portions are quite plentiful. The sauce options include a butter garlic, Cajun, or lemon pepper. The last option is a combination of all three, and is the only way to the go. So, so delicious. The drinks are just fine and include a combination of wine, hard liquor drinks, and beer. There is a good number of non alcoholic options. So after all of that one may wonder where my choice of three stars comes. A few things have caught my attention and deserve recognition. As I mention above one picks their spice level. As it turns out, yesterdays medium spicy is way different than today's. The inconsistency and lead to way too much or too little heat and can ruin a meal. At times, my mussels or clams are not opened at presentation, nor are they easy to open. I have pointed this out to my wait staff for the cool to come in and point out why I am wrong. Unfortunately they are just defending the either under cooked or inappropriately served shellfish. Simply take it out of the bag. I have additionally noticed that despite paying a decent dollar the mixed drinks can be inconsistently weak versus strong. Finally, at times staff, including those who appear to he owners, don't mask appropriately around patrons. Overall an outstanding experience and again I highly support and encourage people to visit. The entirety of the restaurant is laid out in a grid of 4-top tables, each one surrounded with comfy bar chairs. The room itself is open and spacious, but the noise is subdued. . We chose three 1/2-Pound Boils: Scallops, Head-On Shrimp, and Mussels in the Shell. Our order arrived in about 10 minutes - and it was steaming hot. The Boil included a handful of Red-Skin potatoes and a half cob of corn. We chose the Lemon Pepper-Old Bay-Cajun Spice Mix and it was more mild than most Cajun dishes I've tried, with a distinct lean towards the Old Bay, giving the Boil a more Italian than Cajun flavor. This sauce waa particularly good when mixed with the side of white rice we ordered. . It was a hearty servibg, easily enough for three. It was also quite tasty, the tastes of all three books mixing well together. . Only one tgought: for three half-pound boils, it would be been phenomenal to have three half-cobs of corn. Still, the total came to $48, not including tip, but including 3 drinks and 2 largesides (rice and Cole slaw). Mr. Crab House opened 3 weeks ago and what a great addition to our area serving Cajun Seafood. Just had to check it out. My Mr and I dined in on a Friday night. Very open, clean, and took precautions of the social distancing on the seating. The menu was huge and had a good selection. They range from seafood broils, appetizers, baskets, Po'Boy sandwiches, soup/salads, and sides. Lunch specials Monday through Friday. They have the alcohol menu but not yet serving it (awaiting liquor liscense). I decided to try the fried oyster basket (10) with Cajun fries (you can choose three different types of fries) and my Mr ordered the 2 piece Fried Whiting basket with sweet potato fries. Our meals came out in 15 minutes and I was pretty impressed. Not greasy, seasoned just right and fresh. The oysters were pretty big. My Mr really enjoyed his meal as well. Both breaded just right. This spot had just opened recently and my lady and I had been curious to try it. We've seen their menu, loaded with cajun seafood options including fried platters and broils, and it all looked really good. So, on a Friday, we decided on a whim to go for it. Good decision? I would say yes! The place itself is bigger than I expected and has a very nautical vibe with loads of seating including a big bar area (unfortunately no booze yet because their liquor license hasn't gone through just yet). We were seated right away and our friendly server was with us in no time. She took the time to explain the menu and asked if we had any questions. We opted for two of the fried platters; my lady got the fried oysters with cajun fries, and I got the fried whiting with sweet potato fries. We hardly waited long at all before our food came out. It was all very tasty and not greasy at all. It was all priced very nicely too. Definitely a good new spot to enjoy for good cajun style seafood. We went here with a group of people, so I opted to not get one of the boils as they tend to get pretty sloppy. I instead chose a hibachi dish with shrimp, scallops, and lobster. Strange choice for this type of establishment, right? It was pretty solid, though. Especially the lobster; it was cooked well and had great flavor. So, overall I was satisfied, but unfortunately... there were 5 other persons in my party. 3 got different boils, and none of them were crazy about them. I ordered the fried oyster basket which was pretty good. I did feel like I could have used more than 1 small serving of seafood sauce. Also I though the fries were really good & seasoned well. I liked the Cajun seafood boil as well. It was good. I thought it was delicious. It came with tons of things like mussel, corn, crawfish and shrimp . We both were pleasantly surprised that the food was similar taste wise to the popular Southern chain.
