10/10 experience and can't wait to go back! My fiancée took me here to celebrate my birthday and was so grateful for the memories created. The staff was super accommodating and gave a beautiful dessert with happy birthday written on the plate in chocolate. I had lamb tikka masala with cheesy garlic naan, which was probably the best I've had in the area...certainly top contender regardless! We also tried the chicken Alfredo which is perfect for those in your life that may struggle with different foreign foods or if you like an Indian spin on Italian. Also they had a beautiful version of tres leches that I would go back for just for that! The atmosphere was fun and a nice little spot to have a date with the person you love. Ziqr is a total vibe. I love the beautiful ambiance, including the hip Indian soundtrack that fills the air. This was my first visit so of course I wanted to try everything on the menu. My friends and I opted to share several small plates including the samosas sampler, salmon bites and street corn. The pea and potato samosa and the salmon bites were served piping hot and fresh and were the highlights of my experience. For my cocktails, I selected the Blushing Colada and Bengal Tiger. Both were unique. If you love sweeter drinks, I recommend the Colada. However the Bengal Toger really stands out with the spiciness of the saffron and chili syrup. It is an exciting interpretation of the classic old-fashioned. Yum! I selected the Saag Paneer Kofta as my entree. If you enjoy deep fried paneer with a bit of a drier texture, you might enjoy this dish. However I enjoy the more traditional Saag Paneer. I expressed my concern and the restaurant manager, Rosh explained to me the difference. I was grateful that she took her time to explain to me and even went above and beyond to introduce me to the Paner Makhani, which one of her favorite dishes. OMGoodness. Her favorite dish is now one of mine. It is prepared with the paneer that I am used to and the tomato sauce at my desired spice level was out of this world! Ziqr is New pleasant Ridge, and it's a little noticeable. But nothing that they can't grow from. They still seem a little frazzled service wise, they forgot to serve me my drink, and then they also forgot to add a tikka masala chicken taco to my order.( but they didn't forget to add it to the check, but I did get it removed). The bartender + the servers were very friendly, and the food was good. I do like the vibrant and cultural vibes inside of the restaurant. The spice level was really good. It goes one through 6. I chose a four and it had some kick to it. The sunny-tini was good, and I can see myself returning. This place has the potential of being like the Indian restaurant Ghee in Miami, which I love. If you never heard of it, look it up. We need an upscale Indian restaurant in Cincinnati, but if they want to be the one they have to tighten up a little bit around service and being an effective. I will return soon. I'm sure it will be new and improved. I had the lamb tikka masala with the cheesy garlic naan. For me, it was too portions, which was worth it, and it was priced well. read more

My positive experience started with the phone call. The server answering was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable, and talked me through my choices patiently, with a good sense of humor. When I arrived to pick up my order, I was impressed with the setting -- very clean, sophisticated and casual at the same time. But it was the food that really blew me away. Everything I ordered was authentic but creative, made with care, and absolutely delicious. The Mirch Murgh -- chicken pieces in a spicy broth -- was flavorful, the spice was just about right for me (I played it safe this first time and went with a spice level 2), and the chicken itself was amazingly tender. I also ordered the heritage Kashmiri lamb -- and was not surprised to find that the lamb also was fresh and fork-tender. The taste profile seemed unusual to me, but it won me over with its complex creamy flavor. I also ordered the street corn, a generous helping of kernels with a delicious spice that accented & elevated the taste of the corn. And I loved the dessert. It was called "Orange Ember," and was essentially a carrot-based rice & pistachio pudding. The taste was mild but complex, and absolutely satisfying. A great comfort food with which to end a satisfying meal. I will be back, especially to try their fusion dishes -- maybe the pasta and/or the Indian taco next time -- and am pretty sure they'll be made with the same quality and authenticity! read more

I've been here 3 times now and each time I have not been disappointed. It is delicious upscale Indian food.

First of all, the space is beautiful- they did an excellent job decorating. The music is such a vibe - whoever is in charge of the aux cord needs to share their playlist! My friend and I sat at the bar and the bartenders were super friendly. Definitely make a reservation because they are busy! I ordered the garlic naan and biryani. I did a spice level 4 - it was spot on! So good and spicy. I will definitely be coming back very soon to try some other items on the menu. read more

A terrific new option for Pleasant Ridgers and all Cincinnati. My fam and I ate at Ziqr for Easter. My husband and I shared the Elements of Tandor. It was definitely large enough for the two of us with some left for lunch! I loved the tandoori paneer pieces- so beautifully marinated and creamy! I would say, the chicken and paneer were the best parts of that dish, so I'd probably go with one of those next time instead of the full variety. My daughter had the Chef's Traditional Sampler for her meal. It was plenty filling and every element was fresh. Finally, we shared the Nest of Gulab for dessert. The nest was a neat idea but not a tasty as the Gulab. Again, a place where I'd order more simply next time. Service was uneven. Quite slow and seemingly not very experienced. Ambiance is lovely and felt special. I'm so glad to have this spot in my neighborhood and will be back! read more

Wow. The service, the ambiance and the food were all top notch! I hate to compare, but the food was by far miles better than the new upscale Indian restaurant downtown. This is what I wanted that other restaurant to be like, and we're lucky that Ziqr opened down the street from us, so we don't have to far for absolutely delicious food. The only complaint came from my husband who noticed that it tasted like heavy cream in the Tikka instead of coconut milk. He could be wrong, I didn't try it because I am extremely lactose intolerant and didn't want to chance him being right, hahaha! read more

Really wonderful upscale Indian restaurant. We're lucky to have it in Cincinnati! Such unique offerings.

Ziqr is a newly opened Indian restaurant in Pleasant Ridge that is serving really tasty food in a warm and welcoming setting with some whimsical touches, such as flower garlands woven around the woodwork in the ceiling and peacock shaped water jugs. We had a reservation and were seated immediately in a cozy corner facing Montgomery Road. Small quibble, especially in cold weather when we are laden with heavy coats, scarves and hats: tables along the banquette seating are just a touch too close together. I had to move my table to avoid sticking my bottom in our neighbor's space and try to keep all my sprawling winter gear out of their way. Our server came to see us immediately and was attentive throughout our meal. I enjoyed a Manali Kream cocktail -- spiced rum, coconut, lychee and citrus, yum! - and we shared the excellent samosa sampler (four different samosas served with fresh, wonderful chutneys) and the equally delicious kerala fried chicken, served in cubes and very more-ish (meaning you want more!). Our mains were the heritage Kashmiri lamb and the Ziqr tikka masala each of which came with perfectly cooked Basmati rice. Both were super flavorful but I found the latter a bit light on chicken. We had garlic and truffle naans, too. There were great -- thin, crispy and well seasoned -- but the truffle naan is a standout and something I will remember. We did order a lot of food but prices are steep, particularly on the appetizer side, making this a special treat place vs a regular hang. read more

We to ziqr when they first opened and for a new restaurant we were very impressed! We split the samosa sampler and it was the perfect size and a fun opportunity to try different flavors.
