    6 Piece Tandoori Pork Ribs
    Sonam P.

Came here to try out a new Indian restaurant and bring my friend to give Indian food another shot. I heard of this place online and have been meaning to check it out so came here after a wine tasting and before I went out to a birthday celebration. It was easy to get seated right away. They have plenty of tables and a very extensive bar as well. The staff was friendly and our server was great. They are very attentive to filling water and checking in on you. I've eaten may Indian dishes so was wanting to try something different and asked the server for his reco. He said if I'm wanting to be adventurous finding's ribs so I did. Got the 6 piece tandoori ribs which comes with a few thin well seasoned potato skins and then an chilli honey sauce. The safe was amazing and made the dish the tips were very tender and pulled right off the bone. This is definitely a spicy dish with the chili honey sauce but without, anyone can eat them as the tandoori flavor was not spicy. The waiter saw I loved the sauce so much he brought me another as I was drenching the ribs in the sauce. The dish is not too filling though as I wish they had give. A bit more fries and an actual side salad vs. just the garnish of greens below it. Normally when you eat the curry dishes you get full with leftovers but this was just enough food. I got the pistachio ice cream for dessert which was absolutely delicious. It's homemade and you can tell as it's got the rich creamy taste. My friend got the saag paneer. She did not have a great first experience with Indian food as she doesn't really like the curry flavor but I knew she would like something by like the saag as the spinach and onion flavor is more powering than any of the curry spices. I she loved it! So glad I could make that happen so we can go to other Indian places. I will be back to try some other dishes and see what other new things I can try and also try some of the classic dishes I love like special chicken tikka masala to see if they do it different.

First the good: Best chicken biryani we have had anywhere in the U.S., the chicken momo was flavorful with a good steamed dumpling chewy texture and spicy dipping sauce. They asked what level of spice I wanted and I opted for mild, because I wasn't sure what their scale was, and the mild biryani was what I'd have deemed a 4/10 medium on a spice scale but my partner rated it 6/10. The not-as-good but still pretty good: the chicken tikka masala tasted a lot like curried tomato soup to me (sweet, but missing the creamy profile that I expect of chicken tikka masala). The chicken in the dish was very tender and flavorful--which tells me the tandoori chicken is probably amazing there--but the tikka masala sauce was not quite what I expected. It would have been really good with a grilled cheese. It was mild-mild (no spice level that I could discern, but flavorful). I see in Google reviews that other people loved it. The naan quality was similar to what I've gotten when I buy premade, packaged naan rather than freshly made. It had char marks, but wasn't fluffy with air pockets, more the texture of a pancake. Flavor was good. Service was friendly and fast (25 mins for the above dishes). I was seated at the bar while waiting for the takeout delivery and was offered a glass of water while I waited.

Keema Mutter Beef, Lamb & Black Lentils, Plain Rice

Seasoned traveler looking for a delicious delivery to the hotel room and secured this gem of a menu. From placing the order to goods received, the time was less than 20 minutes! Thank you for the prompt service! Phenomenal keema mutter, followed by lamb & black lentils. Mild spice flavor, exactly the expectation when placing the order. Portions were perfect and not overwhelming. Five out of Five. The name of the restaurant says it all.

It was juicy and very flavorful, with the perfect amount of sauerkraut. The bread was toasty and the sandwich was nice and warm but not too hot. I think this will be a new spot for me for lunch!

Essentially for me I had waited too long to eat and the idea of waiting longer was a non starter for me. Sandwiches are not my go to food outside the house, it seems silly on some level. They also had good, homemade or freshly made sides like potato salad and other salads you could get. It was great.

I have a busy week ahead and knew I didn't want to spend time cooking so I was looking for pre-prepared meals! Lean Kitchen was the answer to my needs! Location: Right off of Red Bank Road, with plenty of parking options. Service: I was greeted by a super friendly woman working the front desk and she answered all of my questions and went through each of the food options with me. It seems like she even knew which customers were regulars, which shows how much they value customer service. Price: its a little up there. You can get 10 meals for $80. Cheaper than eating your lunch and dinner out every day but likely more than the cost of a weeks worth of groceries. Luckily the ease and the variety of the meals helps make the decision to purchase easier. Food: So far I've only had the Sweet and Sour chicken... PERFECT. It had a little kick to it but was flavorful. I definitely feel full after finishing despite the fact that it's not a huge portion. I have many more to try, but the other customers in the store raved about all the options. Including the bang bang tacos and cheeseburger bowls. I also saw some pastas, chili, salmon and veggies, chicken and rice dishes, tacos and more. And I arrived at the END of the day! I'm excited to try more and am thrilled that these items are healthy and not frozen. It makes paying a little more worth it. Inside: there's tables inside to dine, and a microwave to heat your dish. So if you're hungry and don't want to take it home (or are looking for lunch) you can certainly eat there. Also, I was in the store for about 10 minutes and 3 different customers came in to shop so it is popular. Im looking forward to returning to Lean Kitchen next week and giving the dishes I purchased a try this week. I love the location, food, convenience, and service! And I always LOVE supporting Black owned businesses! A true 5 star spot to check out!

The good first, though: Whatever the flaws in its business model, Green District still turns out well-conceptualized salads that always seem fresh and tasty. The Hide & Go Greek is a very nice chicken one with a robust, terrific dressing. The Thai One On salad is (you guessed it) an Asian-influenced one with shrimp, lots of cabbage and cilantro, and a kind of generic but fresh-tasting Asian-style ginger-heavy dressing. Also very good. Fortunate thing you can order online and don't have to verbalize those unwieldy salad names to a fellow human. (But if you think those names are bad, another one wants you to hold its beer: the Tequila Mockingbird.). Anyway, the food gets this to three stars, but only barely. Alas, the service at this location is a shambles. Count on at least a 35-minute wait, even if you order right after 11am, when things presumably ought not to be backed up. And it looks like chaos back there--just not enough employees back there, most likely. Last time it took this restaurant an incomprehensible 50 minutes to get my salad out. (Who with a regular lunch "hour" downtown has time for this?) Credit to the unflappable and put-upon young fella at the end of the line; he kept doing his job steadily and kept cheerful about it. The manager is always madly rushing about and isn't nearly as cheery (but it almost certainly isn't her fault, either). It astonishing that the food can be is good as it is in this environment. There's something very wrong about this restaurant's business model when the family-run lunch spot down the street (seemingly just as many orders) can crank out your to-go salad (as good as here, for the most part) in three to five minutes and be as friendly as they can be about it. Whoever came up with the plan has some major issues to resolve.

One evening I made a special trip down Riverside to visit. I really enjoyed this stop and will have to make a special trip again in the future. For starters, their smoked & stuffed jalapeños are delightful ($10)! Sausage, cream cheese, and cheddar are all inside, wrapped with bacon and smoked. They come served with house BBQ sauce on the side, but you may not even need it. The smoke flavor is really there on the bacon and mixes well with the creamy filling. For dinner, the naan street tacos are a solid choice. Pulled pork, peach BBQ, source cream, pickled onion, and green onion are packed inside of garlic naan and served taco style ($16). This is served with a very large side of mac and cheese. It is quite a filling meal! The tacos were great and the naan holds up really well to the juices and sauces, as compared to a soft corn shell.
