Some of the best Mediterranean food I have ever tasted. This was our 2nd time and it was just as good as the first time.

Surprised by all the glowing reviews on this restaurant. I stopped by recently for a 2nd visit. My 1st visit I had the Chicken Curry with Naan. It was good but not any better than other Indian restaurants I have been to. What I could not get past this time was how bad it looked outside. When I first pulled in I thought maybe they had closed. The grass was not cut, weeds knee high growing in the parking lot. Empty boxes stacked behind building. If they do not care to take care of their property who knows what they are doing in the kitchen. I decided to go elsewhere. read more

I eat here once a week with my girlfriend and sometimes with her kids. we love it here. we also like coming here because we want to support the little man. I drive past here all the time and it seems like they are getting fewer and fewer customers.. it's kind of sad.. places like this won't be able to stick around and in this part of town there aren't many Indian restaurants. I will say I have noticed a few things the past couple of times I've been in for dinner. the waitresses have been a little rude and careless. which I don't get since we are always nice to them and leave a very good tip. the other day owaitress spilled water all over our table and on one of my gf's kids and she didn't say sorry or anything.. she didn't even clean up the water.. I cleaned it up.. I mean it was just water but come on? No sorry or anything? also I don't think they've been cleaning the booths or windows very good.. there were dead flys all over them.. it's almost like they've just given up. the food is still good but I have noticed some things have been coming out less as good as the time before. read more

Delicious!!! We have been dying for an Indian restaurant on the west side, and I have eaten at many different places on the other side of town. I was a little worried about how this one would stack up, and I was extremely happy with our food! We picked up carry out for dinner, and got the chicken curry and chicken saag with Garlic Naan. It might possibly be the best Indian food I've ever had, and the place is gorgeous, and staff is very friendly. read more

I would give this place 0 stars if it were an option. HORRIBLE customer service. Chicken Tikki Marsala had about 1 slice of chicken. Called to inquire and the girl hung up on me after her boss said "next time order double chicken." Horrible horrible horrible. read more

So glad we finally got an Indian place on the west side! Now I don't have to carry out from Clifton on my way home from work!! The food is good, and consistent! It can be crazy busy at time! I've eaten in and carried out! Food is excellent either way! My favorite is the chicken tiki masala!! Nan is awesome too! The decor is ok, but I still feel like I'm in a Taco Bell dressed up as an Indian restaurant!! Bathrooms need updated , can be crowded and tight in the dinning room! So excited when I saw the old s#itty taco bell on glenway had transformed into an amazing Indian restaurant. I figured the servings were huge as the prices were a bit high, and every other Indian place I had been the serving size was enough for like..three people. So, my husband and I split Chicken Curry - level 3, I had the paneer nan, and he had garlic nan. I'm not sure if it was the fact that I haven't had Indian food in like 6+ years (I hate driving to Clifton.) Or not..but it blew me away. Was plenty for both of us with some left over. AAP India looks like nothing on the outside. A former fast food joint all painted over. But don't be discouraged! The food is delicious and the service excellent. On a recent Saturday my daughter and I opted to order from the menu rather than the lunch buffet, on the theory that food cooked to order would be fresher. We were not disappointed. Around 13 different kinds of Indian bread were on offer--we enjoyed nan stuffed with potatoes. We ordered two great veg dishes, including paneer masala, to which we had peas added. We ordered chicken masala as takeout for dinner later, and liked it a lot. The kitchen offers customers a choice of "heat" or spicy-ness in the food, ranging from 1 mildest to 6 hottest. We experimented and were most pleased with 3, which gave a nice kick but was not overwhelming. This restaurant was originally recommended to me by an Indian cab driver. Give it a try and despite the exterior, you'll find the interior beautifully decorated and the food delicious. read more

Love this place! So happy to have Indian on the west side. Chicken Makhani is my go to and the nan is fantastic! I eat here often and I think the staff really tries to get to know the customers. On a night out with family, we were give free desert. Nothing shows a place appreciates their customers more! read more

It's an old Taco Bell on the exterior but the inside has been completely remodeled and is a nice sit down restaurant now. We live on the west side and travel to Indy and restaurants in Clifton and Kenwood. We both really like the buffet here for lunch. The food is fresh and tastes really good. This place is now one of our top 10 go to restaurants. read more

This is my favorite restaurant of all time. The chicken curry is absolute perfection I could literally eat it all day! The service is great too - Penjit is fantastic and he even remembers mine and my boyfriends order every time we come in. I recommend this place to everyone especially those who haven't tried Indian and who are picky eaters (like myself.) you won't be disappointed! I really love this restaurant!! We had amazing curry and the naan was cooked perfectly. We dined-in a couple weeks ago and their service was so friendly and we loved the special attention they gave us. My only qualm was with the restroom. Delish! Authentic Indian food with an awesome bar! They have a buffet so you can expand your tastes and even get it to go! The service is great and the food is fresh, authentic and delicious! Great food! The spice scale runs a little on the hot side. A level 2 is their "regular" spice, and it is too much for some in my household.

Tastes great and central west side location make AAP a great choice. The Nans are HUGE!

The best thing that's happened to westside dining if you're looking for something other than fast food or chain. The lunch buffet has just about anything you'd want. The dinner menu is extensive and the food is simply delicious. Had the Lamb curry and the lamb was plentiful and so very tender. My new GO TO place for Indian food. I moved to Cincinnati from Los Angeles 4 years ago and was surprised to find excellent Indian food on the west side where I live. But the 2 places I would go to were BYO for alcohol. AAP offers beer and wine. And best of all, they offer the tall bottles of Taj Mahal, the beer I was always able to order in L.A. and something I've missed since moving here. So I'm thrilled! I frequented Indian restaurants in L.A. since 1979 and I've had Indian food in Amsterdam, London, Sydney and a few other places and I'm here to tell you the food at AAP (and Maya) is every bit as great as I've had. The ambience in AAP is cozy with low lighting and it appears to be clean. I had the chicken tikka masala and saag paneer and hot and spicy naan. And my beloved Taj Mahal beer. read more

I've had take-away once and the lunch buffet twice. Their flavors are excellent. The selection on the buffet changed from one visit to the next, with one visit offering more options I liked. It was nice not to encounter bone in the goat vindaloo. Now, if they could put both gulab jamun AND samosas on the same buffet, I'd be a happy boy (at the risk of disappointing someone else, I suppose). Overall, definitely worth stopping in; very tasty. read more

What the what!?! Indian on the westside!!!?!!! I am so excited to only have to drive down glenway instead of going to Clifton for an Indian fix. The food here is better than the Clifton Indian restaurants too! We got chicken tikka masala, chicken tikka saag, and garlic naan. Everything was delicious! Delicious. What a wonderful change to finally have an Indian Restaurant on the westside of town. We ate there last night and everything was great When we pulled up the parking lot was very crowded..a good sign. The inside, though the building was old Taco Bell..the inside was updated and tasteful. We got seated within a few minutes of arriving. We ordered Chicken Vindaloo and Chicken Tikka Marsala.. both were delicious and my Tikki Marsala was simply fantastic..I really mean that. The sauce while hot...#6...was butter soft with such nice flavors....heaven on a plate. We ordered a Nan that I had never seen... Hot and Spicy...bread filled with spices, chilies and cilantro. Yes, cilantro so if you are one of those people who do not like cilantro...don't get this Nan....we I love it so it was right up our alley. We ordered a side of Raita and I got a wine. Overall..I was VERY happy with food, prices, experience but mostly I won't have to go to Clifton for Indian food anymore. read more

Food was decent, my buddy ordered an appetizer and it was still cold in the middle. The wait staff is a bit of a pest. One will come up and check on you, then 30 seconds later another will come by. Prices weren't too bad. Hopefully they add a fountain machine soon, getting drinks out of a can is a little tedious. read more

From the outside this establishment doesn't look like much. It's actually a converted Taco Bell from back in the day. However, upon entering the restaurant, they have actually made quite a nice atmosphere to dine in. After dining in a handful of times, I have never been dissatisfied with my experience. Each time I have ordered a different dish and have always enjoyed the food, mostly because it tastes fresh, unlike most chain restaurants. The service is always friendly and they pay a lot of attention to your drink levels, which is a service most of us expect when we eat out. People should expect to spend a decent amount of money eating at AAP, especially for dinner. Essentially, you pay for what you get: good food and good service. I think a lot of people on this side of town are used to the cheap meals offered at fast food restaurants (the west side does not have a lot of options) so that might deter them from coming frequently, but supporting restaurants like this helps culinary diversity thrive in the area. They also do carry out, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to try it home one night instead of stopping through the drive through! Or if you are looking for a cheaper option, they do have a lunch buffet, reasonably priced, every day of the week filled with plenty of delicious options. read more

We got takeout for the first time from here, and it was kind of gross. The Bartha was so oily that I ran it through a strainer. It was also extremely bland. The mixed vegetable entree clearly was store brand frozen mixed vegetables with three sticks of butter and a touch of curry paste. There was yellow corn in it, and perfectly cubed carrots. The sauce was so thin that it was soupy. We also got gobhi paratha, which was like a salty bread omelette. Eh. read more

New to the Westside, and clearly pulling out all the stops! We ordered carry out, which took about 30 minutes to prep, so we will we call ahead in the future. The paneer makhani was extraordinarily creamy, complete with glorious cashews and sweet raisins. The garlic nan was loaded with garlic. The veggie jalfrezi was appropriately spicy at a 4/6 & loaded with fragrant spices. We also got the mixed platter as an appetizer and that was two chicken pakora, a giant stuffed paneer pakora, something gloriously filled with potatoes and chickpeas, and several veggie pakoras. It was fantastically tasty. I've been getting Indian since moving to Cincinnati 15 years ago and this was probably the best food I've had yet. So glad we have an Indian restaurant on the Westside now! read more

It's about time! Indian west of Clifton! So, I got me takeout of my two "standby" dishes. First of all, the guy who answered the phone was polite and clear. He told me 20 minutes, and when I arrived 22 minutes later, it was wrapped up and waiting for me. The inside is well done. You'd never know it used to be a Zantigos! Excellent service up front. Now, for the moment of truth! Got home and made myself a plate. The rice, buttery and perfectly spiced. Malai Kofta balls perfectly shaped, evenly cooked, and in a creamy sauce that was a PERFECT #3 spicy. The sauce included the all important sultanas and cashew. So we were good. The Saag Paneer was made with fresh spinach. Just a tad spicier than the Malai Kofta, which was good because I ordered a 4. The price was a little higher than I usually go for takeaway, but on par with the "higher end" Indian restaurants in town (Ambar, Akash, Shaan). Overall, I felt it was a good value, since I'll get about three meals out of the quantity. Next, I'll have to get up there for the lunch buffet! read more

I live on the Westside aka land of no culture, so when an Indian joint opened. I was more than happy (new found love of Indian cuisine see profile). Let me first start by saying that I loved the food and the atmosphere, I took my father who does not venture in other cuisines outside of American very often, if ever. He also loved the food. We both enjoyed Chicken Tiki Masala and Original Naan, it was delicious. We however did not love the service, after taking about 8-10 minutes to be sat in a nearly dead restaurant (it was late) it then took another 5-7 minutes to receive an ice water. (which tasted awful) and then another 15-20 minutes to place an order but it did not take long to receive the actual food which is good I suppose. So when I return I am praying that the service is better. I like to support local business and I love when a place I like is near me so I do not want to have to return to driving to Clifton. I have no say on the beer here, I have not dared to drink while stuffing myself with curry and tomato based awesomeness. read more
