We ordered a couple dishes to share with friends. 4 of us total. My friend started out with 4 shots of the day. To be honest, even though I enjoy girlie drinks, the shots were like juice lol not strong enough hahaha. We tried 8282 during restaurant week and we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant week menu came with a salad, appetizer, entree and dessert. I love the ebi ikura Uni tartare appetizer which came with fried seaweed and rice underneath. The seafood is fresh and the shrimp was amazing. The grilled ribeye according to my partner was super tender and flavorful. I love the miso cod as well which was well seasoned and could easily be break apart by spoon. The portions were actually decent that we felt full afterwards which rarely happens with restaurant week menus. We were not that big of a fan of the injeolmi ice cream since the cheese texture felt a bit odd with the ice cream. But overall good service and an overall nice date spot! read more

Favorite dish that I must get again: the shrimp shawarma. That flavor has the power of shawarma spices, but has its own seasoning blend to make it taste uniquely Korean. Even when the shrimp skewers were done, I wanted to go in and slather that sauce on everything I had. The ttekbokki is probably their biggest starter dish, so if you're looking for something a little bit more carby to make the meal a little fuller, go for this cheesy skillet. The entrees were good as well. The mushrooms were a flavor bomb of umami and just so meaty and juicy, pairing well with the scallops. But nothing Service was really delightful. The person who helped us had great attention to detail, recommended dishes to make sure that we had appropriate portions to share between the both of us, and was considerate of our wait time/any inconvenience that occurred. This place seriously deserves more hype! I have been here several times already and have never left disappointed. I came back for my birthday this time, and our server Jenna made the experience feel extra special. Some of my favorite dishes here are: EBI IKURA UNI TARTARE - A generous bed of fish over seaweed rice. I especially loved the seaweed tempura that came with it. LITTLENECK SOOJEBI (my favorite) - The broth was light and comforting. The clams were cooked perfectly and the noodles had a chewy texture that I really enjoyed. 8282 had always been on my list to try, and I was finally able to go last week, and it definitely did not disappoint! They have a pretty decent sized space with some tables, and bar seating as well. Located in the heart of lower east side, 8282 is a great place to start the night before you go bar hopping (which is what we did). I definitely recommend making a reservation to eat here. There is a cancellation/no show fee, but they get pretty full quickly. They were super accommodating when I called to adjust my reservation from 3 to 4 people, and had set aside seats at the bar for us instead. Seating time is also 2 hours max, and you don't need to have the full party there to be seated. Alex was our bartender and waiter, and he was the best. He gave me and my friends free shots, was super friendly throughout the night, and all in all made it a fun night! The yuzu matcha magic cocktail was so good, and whatever magic shot Alex whipped up was delicious. The food was spectacular. We were hungry, so we ordered 5 dishes, and they were all hits. My favorite was definitely the beef tartare, it was savory and flavorful, yet somehow refreshing at the same time. The jjajang bori-bap and 8282 steak also got snatched up quickly among us. If I ever go back, I'd actually consider doing their pre-fixe menu instead, so you can try way more dishes! All in all, I'll definitely be back. I've walked past this restaurant so many times and finally made a reservation and I'm glad I did. The service was absolutely wonderful everyone was friendly and when my food was ready who ever was available brought it over and explained the dish so I got to meet everyone and got my food fast. I was sat at the bar which was fun to be able to watch the drinks get made. I got the beet salad, scallops and the shrimp ikura. The beet salad was the best beet salad I ever had and definitely want to return for that, the scallops were so delicious and everything blended well and the shrimp ikura was fresh and a really great amount I left full. The yuzu matcha magic was absolutely magic best cocktail ever. Loved the restaurant and service. 2nd visit was absolutely another 5 star visit. I had to get the beet salad again which was just as delicious as the first time, this time I did the pre fix I got the octopus, the miso cod and the panna cotta and wow everything was perfect the flavors were on point the octopus has a lovely char and the burrata helped balance the spice the miso wow the mushroom sauce and it was tender with the glaze honestly chefs kiss the noodles were refreshing and the panna cotta definitely a favorite. We unfortunately did not get sat by the wall and since it is a small intimate restaurant, we had people constantly walking by the table on both sides. Now that's the only downside to our experience. The food? amazing! The uni/shrimp + cracker was so good that I was shocked since I haven't had that tasty raw shrimp before. While the portion on the uni and ebi were pretty generous, everything was kinda tasteless? Not sure why but I just couldn't taste anything but sesame oil Cheesy Tteok-bokki It just tasted okay. My bf got the shrimp which was basically 3 shrimp in a yummy curry sauce. My black cod ravioli was divine- so so good but sadly I need more than 3 ravioli!! I found out we would be visiting New York City during Restaurant Week 2025, so I checked out some possibilities ahead of time. But since I had no idea when we would be ready for dinner, I hesitated to make a reservation. 8282's $60 RW menu sounded good, however, according the OpenTable, they were all booked up. But I gave them a call and learned that they leave their outdoor seats and some of their bar seats open for walk ins, so we ended up heading there for an early dinner and was given a two top by their entrance. We were both interested in the same entree and dessert, so decided to get different things and share. They started us with a canape of tofu, which was our near only vegetable of the evening (the rest being two slices of zucchini, a piece of fennel and a bit of cooked cucumber), as it felt that most came in puree form. Grilled Octopus - a generous portion with two substantial meaty legs. It was good but a bit one note compared to the texturally contrasting Ebi Ikura Uni Tartare. Both Grilled Lamb Chops and 8282 Steak were tender meat, but the steak a bit too sweet for our taste, while I didn't enjoy the accompaniments to the lamb. The Yuzu Panna Cotta were both our original picks, but it arrived rather runny, while we noticed brownie pieces in the Chocolate Pudding. I'm glad we decided to share because the Chocolate Pudding was the surprise favorite. In all, we enjoyed our meal and our water glasses were kept filled (or at least the table water bottle was), which was a hard job that hot day. When our server asked how the meal was, one bit of criticism we shared was our experience with the Panna Cotta. I'd recommend 8282 for a fun date night. We had a reservation on a Saturday just when they opened, so although the space is small, it didn't feel cramped. We got to pick a corner table at the window, which added to the cost vibe. We chose the KFC and clams for appetizers and shared the steak. Both appetizers were very good, and the clams had a few noodles in the broth - unexpected, but nice, and that made the dish more unique. But the real star of the show was the steak. It was the first time I had hanger steak, and it is now my new favorite cut: very flavorful and tender, and complimented beautifully by the ultra-smooth sweet potato mash and pesto on the side. Although we were pretty stuffed, we couldn't help but order dessert. We got the yuzu panna cotta and the choco ooyoo pie. The pie was pretty good, but a little bland in flavor; both the chocolate and the pistachio were quite mild. On the other hand, the panna cotta packed a huge punch! If you like sour flavors, this is the dessert for you. We loved it. They have a short N/A cocktail list, and I ordered a last summer spritz which was very good. I had checked out this menu prior and if I'm being honest I came for the ebi ikura uni tartare. I thought it was delicious and i loved the seaweed chips it came with they were super flavorful. The scallops on the main dish were super fresh and seared nicely as well. I think it was on a bed of barley? Wasnt a huge fan of the texture but the sauce was good. It reminded me of the korean black bean noodle sauce. The dessert was probably my least favorite item. The base itself could have been enough for me personally (maybe topped with fruit or even just plain matcha powder). but the marshmallow and pop rock combo was a tad overwhelming. The only con I will say is that we were seated in this kind of awkward table in the corner (not the bar or couch seats they have). They also recommend you order a lot more dishes than you need, but definitely at least 1 dishpp. - Ebi Ikura Uni Tartare SOO Delicious!!! If you're here, definitely get this! They gave options of both regular and fried seaweed crisps. The rice was fluffy and well seasoned, where all the toppings on top making it even more delicious, especially the raw shrimp. However, the photos make it appear a bit bigger than they are - kind of small in portion size (maybe good for 2-3 ppl to share). - 8282 Steak This steak was SOO tender, so juicy, and so flavorful! They come with a side of two sauces (i'm not sure what they are called), but even the sauce cooked with the steak was delicious. If you're here, this is the one dish I would definitely recommend getting!! It was so yummy, we ordered two of these LOL! - Lamb Chops These were extremely flavorful as well, and super tender. One order came with four lamb chops. It comes with this red sauce (which isn't spicy!!) at the bottom, which really added a nice flavor to the dish. - KFC Chicken Pretty average, but had great flavor (as all the other dishes). It's just fried chicken with their sauce coated on top, so nothing too crazy. - Perilla oil pasta This was kind of underwhelming in my opinion; there was nothing too special about this dish, but it tasted good. I would try a different dish if I were to go next time. It comes with this sauce, a bunch of perilla on top, and a seared branzino on top. - Cheesy tteok-bokki Tasted pretty good! Super juicy and the sauces were great, however they were arguably a bit too strong (too sweet) so I wouldn't douse my steak in the sauce but a slight dip would suffice. The tuna tartare was too salty and the fish wasn't super fresh, hence the 4 stars. The beet salad was wow. So sweet and juicy and those lil cream dallops were a great touch. Perhaps could use a bit more lettuce or a different type of lettuce. The Parmesan on the ice cream were too long and the dryness didn't really melt in with the flavor so I'm not a huge fan of it, ice cream and the nutty sauce in the bottom were whatever, I wouldn't come here for the dessert. Stopped by for restaurant week and was pretty satisfied that we got to try the majority of the dinner menu! We were seated outside, and were a bit frustrated that the food we ordered kept being forgotten. In terms of the food, I like how they provided a canapé of chili oil tofu, as I found it to be a very refreshing start to the dinner. We started with the ebi ikura uni tartare and Chilean sea bass. I personally preferred the sea bass more, but the tartare was a full portion and was quite filling. We then tried the lamb chops and jjajang bori-bap. The lamb was my personal favorite, though my friend preferred the jjajang dish. I found the scallops to be incredibly flavorful, but the jjajang sauce was too heavy of a pairing. For food, we ordered the Tuna Tartare + Kim Bukak ($26), Littleneck Soojebi ($20), Mushroom Party ($16), 8282 Steak ($28), and Jjajang Bori-bap ($28). We also ordered all three mocktails - Gochujang Margarita Zero, Last Summer Spritz, and Coco Calpico, which were $14 each. For dessert, we tried both desserts - Ooyoo Pie ($14) and Injeolmi Ice Cream ($12). The Tartare + Kim Bukak was made with bluefin tuna with sesame oil and aioli on a fried seaweed chip topped with uni, capers, and egg custard. It was delicious. The Littleneck clams were really good and came in a butter scallion pepper broth. We ordered a bowl of rice just to have with the leftover broth. The Mushroom Party had an assortment of roasted mushrooms, portobello tempura, rosemary panko, cashew, tofu yogurt, and mushroom purée. It was unique and tasty. The 8282 Steak was a grilled soy-marinated hanger steak that came with mashed sweet potatoes, and pine nut basil pesto. The Jjajang Bori-bap were seared scallops and shrimp with black bean sauce, truffle paste, and mushroom paste over barley. Both were so good. All of the food was amazing. The mocktails were good, maybe a little pricey. The desserts were really interesting. The ice cream was a vanilla ice cream with Korean multigrain, honey and parmesan cheese. The slice of pie had some passionfruit or citrus flavor and was very good. Overall, we had a great dining experience at 8282. The food was superb, the drinks were good, and the desserts were great. The lighting was pretty dark so couldn't get too good photos. read more

Food here was solid. Not to mention our waiter was very attentive and gave us many great recommendations. As a party of 5, we ordered a ton of dishes to share between us. Every dish was very flavorful to make us all eat to our hearts content. I also ordered a Banana alcoholic drink, which was a little on the pricier side for a small glass, but no complaints here, the vibes were good! My favorite dish was the 8282 Steak because it paired really well with the mashed sweet potato and the pine nut basil. Overall, a 10/10 for this experience. This modern Korean spot in LES is truly a gem, and I absolutely loved it. The interior is cozy but tables are a bit small, so I recommend reservations if you are come with a group. Service was absolutely stellar--they were so kind to talk to, attentive, and patient. We got their chestnut makgeoli to drink and for food we got their: grilled octopus, ebi ikura uni tartare, clam sujaebi, scallop jjajjang boribap, 8282 steak, and yuzu panna cotta. Everything was phenomenal. Their chestnut makgeoli was creamy and a delightful pair to the meal. Their grilled octopus was probably the favorite of the night as it was flavorful, amazing texture, and had great sauces. The ebi ikura uni tartare was also good and came with seaweed, but there was nothing super crazy/different about it (compared to other restaurants). I also loved the broth for the clam sujaebi but I felt like this leaned on the more modern side--the sujaebi was a bit different than traditionally, and the broth was also more seafood forward. The scallop jjajjangboribap was good but I wish the jjajjang sauce was a bit stronger/more saucey. And, the steak was amazing. The yuzu matcha panna cotta was the perfect way to wrap up the meal, and by the end of this I was stuffed. Absolutely loved this dinner and I highly recommend. read more

Modern Korean spot in the LES that I had heard about from multiple friends, but only recently got to check out. Came here on a Wednesday with a friend. Reservations are easy to make but the place is still pretty busy throughout the night. When they sit, they remind you of the dining limit (but they let us have about 30 minutes extra based on the seating for the night, which was nice). The tables are also squeezed pretty tightly together as they are trying to maximize space (not my favorite). For drinks, my friend and I each tried a cocktail. She got the white rabbit slush, which she really liked, and I got the jeju old fashioned which was delicious (anything jeju+oranges sign me up). Food-wise, we opted to share the following dishes (ranked favorite to least): - Ebi Ikura Uni Tartare: Delicious! The dish is definitely on the pricier side but I feel like for the quality of the ingredients it's reasonable. Also who doesn't love a diy situation? - Dakgalbi Kimchi-Bap: The dish comes in a hot cast iron and is mixed tableside. I really liked how the rice ended up crispy as a result like bibimbap and while it's definitely not your standard dakgalbi it was tasty. Would get again. - Perilla Oil Pasta: A solid dish, but I wouldn't say anything extremely novel. It's probably good for someone less adventurous as you can think of it almost like butter noodles with fish. - Boneless KFC: Solid but there are better in the city. Would probably skip to try a different dish next time. The servers were friendly and even brought us complimentary makgeoli shots when we told them we were celebrating a milestone! The only service miss was that our water carafe stayed empty for most of the evening but that's probably because it's hard to see that it's empty based on the carafe. Overall I would definitely recommend this as a cute date spot-- good food and good vibes. read more

Everything from this restaurant was so good! High quality korean food, tapas style, with delicious drinks as well. We started off with the soju flight, which was really fun to pair with the food. Service was also terrific. Only thing is some of the tables can be on the smaller side. Anju - Golden beets and kimchi salad (5/5): so fresh and clean, loved the unique combination of flavors and textures - Tuna tartare (4/5): really delicious as well. tuna could have been slightly more fresh, but loved the concept and toppings - Mushroom party (4/5): also a fun veggie appetizer that is light. just a bit expensive for what it is - Octopus (4.5/5): the octopus is so tender and charred perfectly! Banju - Perilla oil pasta (5/5): my favorite main! this pasta was so thin and light and had such a smooth texture. I loved that it came with branzino too - Pork galbi (4/5): also delicious, just preferred the steak. The flavor here is really good though and this is a good option for someone who likes the gochugaru, more spicy taste. - Steak (5/5): was surprised by how much I liked this. The steak was not too meaty and extremely tender. Such a great meal, would highly recommend for a date or group. read more

First time at this restaurant and the food is absolutely delicious! We tried their signature dish, the grilled octopus, and it was excellent. Loved the food here and they're all made to share! It's like Korean tapas. Favorite dish was L.A. IBERICO PORK GALBI! JUICY AND TASTY. The 8282 steak was a very close second for me, the texture and the sauce were on point! The boneless KFC and octopus were really good as well. Also get the ebi ikura uni tartare! Cheesy TTEOK-BOKKI was great too, cheesy and chewy. I did not like the braised duck thigh at all, sadly! The puree was mushy and did not pair well with the duck.
