It's an understated and casual place with a delicious tasting menu. For $70 you get four courses and can choose add ons. We went as a group of four and the staff suggested we get one of each option so we could share family style and try everything. We added on the fried chicken wings! The cocktails are also good. My favorite dish was the squash, octopus, the chicken and to be honest probably everything!

I expected a lot as a sister restaurant of atomix and Naro. However it fell flat. Overall everything was fine, no disaster dish but nothing really stood out or blew me away besides the fried chicken. That was probably the best korean fried chicken ive ever had but otherwise nothing spectacular. The first dish was probably the best from the tasting menu besides the chicken. I never understand why people serve burrata and tartar with out some sort of crusty starch to balance the mushy and provide some textural contrast. Burrata was bad but felt out of place. Yukhoe was solid The sweet shrimp was weird, i enjoyed the crunch thing but the white sauce just was too tangy and dairy forward and didnt go well with the dish. We got the wagyu dish add on. It was tough and dry even for a regular prime usda steak which was disappointing. The cake they gave at the end was dry Tdlr not bad but not good, if you go definitely get the fried chicken Some korean ajuma was complaining how most tasting menus come with dessert but atoboy didn't, i actually prefer getting and extra savory course instead

A friend described this as their favorite flavour experience ever! The set menu here is a filling experience, supported by great service in a minimalist environment but provides space but doesn't feel too roomy. The various add-ons are all worthwhile, especially the chicken. The only space was some room for improvement is the desserts.

Atoboy was a 5/5 dining experience. I loved the prix fixe items and the opportunity to try a variety of menu options. My favorites were the octopus, buratta, and the chicken! The staff was beyond amazing, predicting our next moves and staying on top of our meal. We had a group of 5 and I felt like we could hold a solid conversation. Try the desserts!!!

Had high expectations for this modern Korean spot that comes highly reviewed. The meal was fine but overall for the food and price point I probably wouldn't go back. Service was efficient, staff friendly. Restaurant is nicely designed. Not too loud or packed. We had the prix fixe, stand out dishes are starred: SEA URCHIN*** egg jjim, gim, quinoa WAGYU YUKHE gochujang, korean pear, egg yolk (Would've preferred the Wagyu cut finer) FLUKE**** oiji cucumber, jellyfish, omija SQUID**** sesame seed, chili, cilantro OCTOPUS** romesco, iberco lomo, kimchi potato chip WAGYU RIB +/ chunjang, yukon potato, romaine (Heavy sauce, baby lettuces) PORK galbi, sunchoke (A little on the dry side) FRIED CHICKEN****!!! spicy peanut sauce, yangyummy sauce (delicious!!) Banchan was sorta disappointing (2 dishes, and some seaweed rice) and served late into the meal (I'm used to the usual 5-6 dishes hitting the table immediately) And there was no Kimchi served. Drinks are OK. Soju cocktails. No hard liquor but a nice wine selection.

Came here for a pre fixe menu and it was solid! The food came out fast and the environment was very intimate. Here's everything we got: - Naegroni (4/5): I don't typically like negronis but this one was very light and felt refreshing - Sea urchin (3.5/5): good but the egg custard was a bit meh for me. it was cold and did not taste the most fresh - Burrata (4/5): super delicious and creamy. But did not taste different from other great burratas I have had - fried chicken (5/5): star of the show and a must order. Probably some of the the crispiest chicken I ever had, and it tasted really good with the burrata and the sauces provided! - Squash (5/5) also a standout - did not know squash could taste this good. it was lightly coated in batter, moist on the inside, and bursting with flavor - Salmon (3/5): not a huge fan. almost tasted like smoked salmon and was also too salty for my preference - dessert (4/5): such a strange combination (granita, ice cream, cheese, candied walnuts) that surprisingly worked? The only part I did not like was the granita because it was cinnamon and a bit overpowering - tasted like fireball They also served us some banchan and the seaweed rice. Banchan was nothing to write home about but seaweed rice was delicious!!

One of the more affordable set menus in the city. Decided to check out Atoboy to see how it was. They have a 4 course set and you get to choose a dish from each category and add some dishes like the fried chicken. Overall, I'd say it was alright. I wasn't wowed with any particular dish but they were all either good or okay. The chicken was very moist and flavorful. Everything was cooked well. Aside from the Korean influence, I could taste some minor Chinese and Japanese influences as well. The set itself was pretty filling especially with the big basket of fried chicken. The vibe was very casual and chill. Service was good. Overall, good but not great. Probably wouldn't come back since there's loads of other places I'd rather go back to or try out. Nonetheless a good option if you want a decently priced set menu in a casual setting. Probably more of a 3.8 vs 4 but rounding up.

A Masterclass in Modern Korean Dining - Simply Impressive! My dinner at Atoboy was impressive. This place is a must-visit for anyone looking for a creative and perfectly executed dining experience in NYC. Parking/Location: Forget about driving--this is New York! Do yourself a favor and just walk or take a cab. Save your energy for the meal instead of hunting for a spot. The Food: Every single ingredient felt incredibly fresh and the dishes were genuinely surprising in the best way possible. The Starters: We started with the Crudo and the Scallop, which were absolute highlights. They were bright, delicate and did a perfect job of waking up my palate for the rest of the meal. The Main: The momentum carried all the way through to the main course. The flavors were balanced and sophisticated. The Dessert: Even the final sweet bite at the end was flawless. My only regret.... I was enjoying the meal so much that I totally forgot to snap a photo of the Chicken. It looked (and tasted) amazing so you'll just have to take my word for it and order it yourself!

Came here for my birthday dinner tonight and wow! Standouts / favorites: - Galbi (5/5): OMG tender - practically slid off the bone. Legit highlight of the meal. - Wagyu rib (5/5): insanely tender + flavorful, and the veggies were actually incredible. Loved the little horseradish kick on the lettuce wrap. - Wagyu yukhwe add-on (5/5): super refreshing - wagyu tartare + pear + crunchy crumbles was such a good combo. Worth the extra. - Rice (5/5): I don't even like rice like that anymore, but the perilla oil infusion was sooo good. Good, but not mind-blowing: - Sea urchin (4/5): small snack-sized portion, but tasty, kinda like furikake on steamed egg (briny + cozy). - Sweet shrimp (4/5): a lil zesty, and I really liked the crisps on top. - Squid (3.5/5): interesting - stuffed with shrimp (unexpected). Tasty, just not my top dish. - Fluke (3/5): super clean + light, with a nice wood ear "snap," but it didn't wow me. Dessert: - Birthday dessert (5/5): dark chocolate + salted caramel - rich and soooo yummy. Overall great service and great atmosphere!

I am begging you, pleading, eyes bloodshot with conviction, not to sleep on Atoboy. If you care even a little about food, you owe it to yourself to eat here. This is the kind of meal that makes you angry it doesn't already have a Michelin star, because it tastes like one in every possible way. Every course is precise, intentional, and confident. The flavors are layered and refined without ever feeling precious, delivering a level of thoughtfulness you usually only find at far higher price points. The service strikes that rare balance of attentive and effortless, and the room itself feels intimate and composed, nothing flashy, just exactly right. Atoboy may not carry the star, but make no mistake: this is Michelin-level dining without the ego or the cost. A true must-try, and a place I'll be back. Please, for the love of god, try it.

Hand Hospitality does it again. Atoboy was such a great experience. Every dish tasted incredibly delicious and felt carefully thought out. Nothing was there just for show, and every flavor had a purpose. The pacing and portions were well balanced too, which I appreciate in a prix fixe. Given the surge of Korean fine dining spots in NYC (and the price tags that usually come with them), Atoboy is actually fairly affordable for what you get. It still feels elevated and intentional without tipping into overly fancy or inaccessible.

Exceeded expectations, worth the hype. Sea urchin is my fave dish, there is sauce right underneath the sea urchin that adds such good flavor and makes the whole dish pop! My second fave dish is squid coming as close second, and then the fluke and fried chicken and pork, but honestly everything was so good, and so flavorful, except for the mackerel that was a bit lackluster( bland). Overall- Highly recommend this place and it's one of my fave restaurants

The exterior of the restaurant hints at secrecy and elegance. Inside it's a lot more hustle and bustle, narrow restaurant. The servers are nice and sincere, though some seemed pretty new. They were very accommodating about my dairy allergy, and even though a few dishes were off limits due to the restriction I still felt very happy with the selection. There is currently a $75 prix fixe menu with 4 courses included. We chose to pair our prix fixe with a lovely bottle of Riesling. We thought the first course was outstanding, the yellowtail was an absolute star. The fried chicken was good and airy but honestly a bit sparse for the $28 surcharge. Though the peanut sauce that it comes with really made a huge difference. The Riesling paired well with some of the dishes that had some spicy heat to them. We did feel that the kimchi-based dishes were disappointing- the kimchi felt toned-down, maybe not enough gochujang. The genmaicha(?) seasoned rice was PHENOMENAL and don't forget to add a bit of the peanut sauce from the fried chicken to it if possible. Yummy combination. It was super fun to come as a group and be able to order the entire menu and try different things. Loved that it's a family-style sharing situation. The restaurant gets super loud later on in the evening, so don't expect a quiet atmosphere.

Their menu leans into fusion dishes with a nod to some of the classic home-style classics. Everything is presented with a refined, elevated touch. Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated. Needless to say, we will be back!

Most of the space was taken up by the accompaniments that come with it (veggies, etc), so there was hardly any room to put anything else. We walked into a stylish but relaxed space that feels suited for both casual dinners and a night out with friends, with an atmosphere that balances energy and comfort well. The room gets lively when it fills up, but the noise level adds to the experience rather than detracting from it, making it feel like a place built for sharing and conversation. The food is where Hojokban stands out. The complimentary banchan sets the tone for the meal with flavorful sides that add variety before the main dishes arrive, each one thoughtfully prepared and offering a different texture or flavor profile. The gomtang soup is one of the more comforting options, bringing together tender meat, a rich broth, and classic Korean flavors in a way that feels hearty without being overly heavy. The galbi dishes are also a highlight, with the meat cooked well and carrying the sweet and savory balance that makes Korean-style grilled beef so enjoyable. The portions are generous, and the quality of the ingredients is noticeable across the board. The menu has several unique dishes worth exploring. The truffle potato pancake is one of the more memorable items, combining a familiar Korean staple with a richer, modern twist that adds depth without losing the essence of the original. The perilla oil noodles are another standout, offering a lighter but still flavorful option with a distinct nutty aroma that lingers on the palate. The beef tartare adds a more refined element to the meal, fresh and well seasoned, while dishes like the ramyun fried rice bring a fun comfort food element with bold, savory flavors. Together, the menu covers enough ground that you can build a meal around both familiar favorites and more creative choices. Service is friendly and the overall experience feels welcoming rather than overly formal. The staff are attentive without hovering, and they handle the busy flow of the restaurant with a pace that keeps the meal moving without feeling rushed. The menu is designed for sharing, and the portions make it easy to order several dishes across the table, allowing you to try more of what the kitchen has to offer. The lively atmosphere adds to the meal, making it a good fit for group dinners where the energy of the room matches the pace of the food. Hojokban does a good job blending traditional Korean flavors with a more modern dining experience. It is a place where you can come for familiar comfort food while still finding dishes that feel creative and different. If you enjoy Korean cuisine and want a restaurant with a little more personality, this is a spot worth checking out. Spicy Braised Pork Rib Stew: Rich, comforting, and full of flavor. The highlight for me was the raw marinated crab. I spotted it on the wall menu and immediately had to order it. It's rare to find in the city! And honestly, this was way better than BCD's. So flavorful. Only complaint... the banchan portions are small and not a lot of variety. Other than that, I really enjoyed my meal and I'd definitely recommend this spot.

The food tastes good, the lunch prices are reasonable and honestly they have better ban chan than a lot of other places. (And where else are you going to get a full fish as a complimentary ban chan?) The servers kept things moving but with very minimal interference and no extra visits; we would have liked a little more attention when we finished some of the banchan and kind of expected they would be replenished, but we certainly were fine without it. And the entrees were delicious and even with other tables almost on top of each other it never felt crowded due to partitions that I saw them remove for some larger groups needing tables "together", and I never felt part of someone else's dinner convo. Presentation was amazing and food was delicious - Soon Tofu Soup with seafood for me, which arrived bubbling like a cauldron. It came with a raw egg that you crack into the soup and let it cook to your level of doneness. Hubs got hot stone bibimbap and as we all know the crispy rice is the best part of it... it's just tough to separate it from the actual stone dish so you can eat it, especially if you wait until it cools and fuses. If I was there with more stomach space I wanted to try the galbi, and in fact there's a weekday lunch combo that could facilitate that.

They advertised themselves as having the best katsu in NYC and they may just be right. With our order it came with a bunch of side dishes. Kimchi, Marconi salad, and mashed potatoes, and others. They were all good. Food came out pretty quick as well. Don't think we waited too long for anything. After we were done they gave us some ice cream. I would absolutely love to come back here again for lunch and probably will.

The Ssambap Set was incredibly satisfying. The beef was tender, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the fresh lettuce wraps, rice, banchan, and soup. Every bite was well-balanced and packed with flavor. We also ordered the Mixed Katsu Set, which was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and cooked to perfection. It came with generous portions and made for a comforting, filling meal. The restaurant has a modern and welcoming atmosphere, the staff was friendly and attentive, and everything arrived fresh and beautifully presented. If you're looking for a delicious Korean lunch in NYC's Koreatown, Jeong Yuk Jeom is definitely worth a visit. I'll be coming back to try more of their menu!

The galbi-jjim was perfectly tender like I could literally pull it apart with my chopstick. The addition of the rice cake, pumpkin, and pyogo mushroom were a nice touch. The soy sauce base was a little sweet and if you take a bit and pour it over the mushroom sotbap, it is soooooooo good!!!!!!! The mushroom sotbap is so umami. There is foie gras in it which maybe be in a little overpowering for some people but I really enjoyed it I could easily eat a whole bowl of their freshly made kimchi. It was perfect. Not too salty or spicy or fermented. Literally perfect!!! I actually asked for seconds. The cold cucumber broth was really refreshing Highly, highly recommend making a resy!! We got their fried chicken, beef tartare, 2 galbi jjim, and their bossam. Everything was phenomenal. While I think we could've skipped the chicken, the galbi jjim is a must-try. Cocktails are also great here. Amazing dining experience, food, ambiance, service, and I highly recommend.
