I don't think I've ever had a bad batch of coffee from 7 Leaves. I have consistently tasted the same quality and taste of coffee. If I ever need a jolt or a wakeup up, I can count on 7 Leaves to do that for me. 7 Leaves does offer a small selection of sweets such as macaroons and the lovely strawberry croissant with custard but I really get any because as mentioned, I usually come here for the coffee. I've tried varies things from the menu such as the strawberry hibiscus tea, which is honestly quite refreshing. I love the taste of hibiscus and the strawberry adds the perfect amount of sweetness, perfect for a hot summer day! I've also tried the matcha and I just wasn't a fan. I couldn't really taste the matcha, it was also on the sweet side as well as borderline watery. Wouldn't recommend. The inside is a little small but there are a few seats if you need to wait. I definitely would not describe this 7 Leaves as a good study spot. Anyway, get the house coffee though, you won't regret it. Price has gone up and is now $5.50 plus tax. The 4 stars is just because the macarons were not made equally. The rose flavor had like no cream and the green tea had less than the strawberry. They could have been better. Second time here because we're back in the area. I'm such a fan now. Had my usual Summer Mint which I love but tried the Vietnamese coffee as well which is delicious and smooth. Turns out you can add up to 6 shots of expresso for free (omg it gets strong). Hanging out for a bit, noticed that all the tables have outlets well positioned. The interior colors are also very comfortable so it's a great place to relax a bit and slow down. We tried the macarons today (strawberry, pistachio, and chocolate). They're all very sweet and the textures are great from the crisp and chew of the shell to the soft fluffiness of the cream filling. First I had no idea that 7 leaves was a Vietnamese owned drink chain. They literally have the best Vietnamese coffee trying it for the first time. I order it everywhere I go lol. Coming from the Monterey Park area there is a location struggling to open on Atlantic and Garvey Blvd with a "for real this time" on their coming soon banner and Brandon the one guiding us on our visit had a great conversation about it. I went back and was polite and apologetic, and the drink was remade, but the replacement was filled almost completely to the top with ice. Can't really go wrong with any 7 Leaves locations, but the Santa Ana spot often gets overlooked. The service is always good here. When entering, they always greet you. They may be busy to take your order right away, but they'll let you know. It's normally quiet enough in there to get some work or studying done too. The drive-thru feature is clutch. Order ahead on the app (gotta have the app and collect Leaves for future freebies) and roll through the drive-thru for easy prepaid pickup! As for the drink quality, it's 7 Leaves and their quality control is A1. Same great taste and consistency at all their locations. They really got the best Thai Tea in town though. Thai Tea is not my go-to boba drink, but it is at 7 Leaves. Don't sleep on their Taro drink either, got little bits of sweet taro in it. And when you're wanting to redeem your rewards leaves, you have to order it through the website or app. There's also a drive-thru, and I would suggest using it every time when visiting. He walked out after a few minutes, but I have a feeling that they get this often here due to the neighborhood and being right next to the train tracks. I'm beyond elated about this location being open. If you haven't had 7 Leaves it's basically crack in liquid form and it always comes through. I used to go to the Tustin location, but THIS LOCATION...it has a drive-thru! Yessah! Drove through the other day to pick up my mobile order (download the app to mobile order and accumulate rewards points) and the lady kindly reminded me to wear a mask upon arrival to the window. She was all smiles and handed me my regular sized Vietnamese coffee with easy ice and sea foam. I highly recommend 7 Leaves if you have an early morning meeting or need to stay focused or awake the entire day and then some. I also advise to drink this first thing in the morning and if you've never had Viet coffee, try drinking half a regular sized coffee to see how long it keeps you up because the crash is brutal and can happen at 4 a.m. if you're not careful. read more
