Cannot believe I have not been here yet and so close to other restaurants I patron! The fried taro rolls were mom's favorite! Ordered the Papaya Salad, Pad Kee Mao and Crispy Tofu with Fried Basil, all vegan. Flavors slightly varied from similar named dishes from other restaurants. Flavors hit and good so no complaints, just an observation... if a dish includes "Crispy" in its name, it better be crispy! This dish was sauced up, just saying!

The menu has too many options, as a vegetarian I loved the food and happy to visit this place again. The service was good and the ambiance was cute, nicely themed. The food was well cooked, fresh and super tasty

Oh my goodness... Let me just say, the flavours reminded me of Thailand! For someone who has been before and has tried the ordered items from the motherland, 45th Vegetarian Thai knows what they're doing!!!!!!!! The only compliant I have is the enoki mushrooms. It's very possible the oil they use to fry things was old because the mushrooms tasted like burnt oil lol. Otherwise, the show stopper was the Kao (khao) Soi. OMGGGGG!!!!!!!! Fulfilling, flavourful, 10/10. I will back specifically for that soup! No other Thai restaurants seem to even have it as option. Thank you for the deliciousness. Oh, and IT'S ALL VEGAN!!!!!!!! Yum!

Holy moly, this one's a winner. It took me forever to get here and now I'm not leaving. Super quiet on a Saturday afternoon so we had the run of the joint. Server was adorable and very friendly, checked on us during our meal but also gave us space. I had my new fave dish, Yum Neua Salad, which was spicy and flavorful with crunchy mock meat and fresh crisp veggies. My buddy had the orange tofu, which she pretty much devoured. There's some sort of voodoo in the Thai Iced tea, creamy, sweet and pungent I can't wait to return, again and again and try every dish on their vast menu. Cute restaurant is a bonus!

Amazing, friendly service. Had the Hed Kem Thong Tod, Fresh rolls and the BEST Tom Yum soup I've ever had. Highly recommend.

Veg pod stickers and pad thai

I got the pad Thai and some veg pod stickers. I arrived and although no customer was in the restaurant, 3 guys behind the bar would not respond due to language barrier... than pointed me to a hurried man in the back on the phone. After a min he got my name and my order had been laying out open on a bar. He package that up and handed it to me. In comparison to another Thai I have been to, the portion was SMALL. The appy + dinner came to about $31. The taste was below average. In the pad Thai, the noodles were congealed, there were no veggies and only a couple small squares of tofu. Very underwhelming. I came away unsatisfied via portion size, price, taste and customer service. A bit disappointed.

I love the usage of nuts in Thai cooking, and 45th vegetarian Thai definitely delivered! I'm not a vegetarian so it was interesting to try Thai food without meats like I'm usually used to. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the khao soi, taro fried appetizer that comes with a plum sauce, the Wallingford, and the 45th street. We opted not to add the veggie meat (+$4) but that is an option too. The khao soi comes with a veggie meat drumstick already. The taro is fried in tofu skin and has peanuts mixed inside. Definitely my favorite dish, even if it was just an appetizer. It was still so hot and crispy by the time we arrived home. We ordered the kao soi with a 4/5 spicy level and it wasn't spicy at first, but the more you have, the more it hits you. It comes with the veggie meat stick, yakisoba noodles, and a variety of vegetable toppings. They package the noodles and toppings separate from the soup so it wouldn't get soggy. We couldn't finish it entirely and now have leftovers for tomorrow. The 45th street was rice paper rolls stuffed with an assortment of veggies and a peanut sauce drizzled on top. It was delicious and the sauce was sweet and savory at the same time. We ordered takeout so I cannot speak to the parking or ambiance of the restaurant. But the lady on the phone was very nice and made sure to ask us about the spice level (out of 5) for each dish. She also repeated back our order to us and asked us what type of rice we preferred (white or brown). The attention to detail throughout was nice.

Excellent vegan Thai for a hungry traveler! The service and food were wonderful. The spicy curries were perfect for staying cozy on a dreary, cold day. The long beans were delicious, too. I appreciated the fast, friendly service and the wide array of vegan options. Will definitely be back when in the area!

The veggie tempura that we had to air fry...

We were extremely excited to try this place based on the reviews. We're practicing Buddhist vegan, so no garlic or green onions in our food. When we called to order our food, I mentioned it 3x's just to ensure they wouldn't mess up the order as I understand it's a unique request. The gal on the phone confirmed and assured me that it would be done without garlic/ green onions. We ordered a ton yum noodle soup, phad Thai and veggie tempura. The third of the veggie tempura was onions lol. Ridiculous. The one star is not for that, it was that the phad Thai noodles were also part raw and overall... my husband and I got super sick after eating it. We were both stuck in the bathroom for most of the day. Honestly wouldn't recommend it, go down to the ave at Arayas for vegan food that's tasty, clean and affordable.

Very well made vegan Thai food in Seattle. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, it was really good! The place is cute and all the dishes feel healthy and cozy in addition to being delicious. The server is very friendly. Thank you for the wonderful experience, Definitely recommend and I'd definitely go again!

Incredibly flavorful food and spice levels were on-point for the papaya salad! Get the fried taro as an app. Tom Yum was 10/10. Super kind staff, too!

This used to be Jhanjay Vegetarian Thai, and I'm happy to say this new place is just as good. We stopped in for lunch and we're greeted by a friendly server, who gave us waters and a bowl of complimentary soup -- a nice touch. We ordered the Pra Rama .($14.95 plus tax), with a side of brown rice (+$1), and the Pad See Iw ($13.95 plus tax; made vegan by omitting the egg). We asked for both 5/5 spicy and they delivered perfectly on that request. Both dishes were delicious, amply spicy and yet integrated, and very flavourful. Both were excellent. We were quite full at the end of our meal. All in all, excellent veggie Thai, great service, good portions and value. Highly recommended.

From that first dish, we knew that this fresh, foraged menu was going to be something different. The rest of the night was one knockout showcase of seasonal farm to table masterpieces to the next. The entire presentation was delivered by attentive wait staff putting on what felt more like a well-rehearsed play with each act starting with a wickedly creative, hand-crafted drink pairing (non alcoholic for us, but you can get wine, cider, or a cocktail) before each course. The whole vibe isn't pretentious or bourgeois; it's grateful. Everyone there including the chefs know there isn't anything like this in the city, much less the state. It was one of the more pleasant restaurant guest audiences I've ever been around too. It felt like all the nice people in the city decided to meet, so this 5-star review is for our fellow diners too. The only thing missing was a moment for the chefs to take a bow at the end, but instead they sneaked out the door, off to wherever superfoodie heroes go after a night of saving palates. #salute.

We ordered the focaccia bread, carbonara, and the chicken pasta with marsala sauce. The focaccia was really dense and crumbly. The dryness paired with the density/heaviness of the bread made it a bit hard to consume without any vinegar or olive oil. My wife and I actually resorted in using the masala sauce in my pasta as it's saving grace. It lacks the bounciness and fluffy, yet crispy, texture of a good focaccia. Speaking of the marsala sauce, it was WAY too sweet. The sauce felt loaded with cream, and it was too overpowering (albeit a nice pairing with the brick of focaccia we had). The chicken was super thin and overcooked, as it was so dry and stringy. Definitely would not recommend this dish. The somewhat positive note was the carbonara which my wife had. Not bad, but my wife thought the sauce was too cheesy. Also - my wife and I came in on an early Friday evening (around 6 PM) and was met with some hesitation. They mentioned that they may not have a seat for us, as we didn't make a reservation. Luckily, and graciously, we were granted a table. But what was kinda odd was that other groups of people started to trickle in - some seemed to not have made a reservation - and they were welcomed and seated immediately without question. Odd. Overall, I wouldn't even say this place would scratch any Italian-food desires or cravings. Hope this place continues to thrive in the heart of Wallingford, but sadly it didn't stay in ours.

When we first arrived we were given the option of either the chef's counter or a table. I thought the chef's counter was a unique experience but for the night we opted for a table near the window. The space is intimate and even though there weren't many people there when we first got there, it still gave a warm and cozy vibe (quickly filled up though). The week of my friend's birthday they were only doing Seattle Restaurant Week, which I hadn't realized at first but the menu was amazing regardless. The staff was very attentive to us, constantly checking in on us and making any adjustments as needed. They thoughtfully walked us through our choices and when the food arrived. First we started with appetizers which I thought it was nice that you get to try all them and didn't have to choose one. The salad and asparagus is what you would expect, but they were perfectly done and not overly complex. The stand out was the Seared Tombo, the flavors of this dish were balanced and the fish was clearly very fresh! For our main we both got the halibut option, which came with a side of sunchokes. We had never had sunchokes before but were immediately in love (the fish was cooked to perfection too) but I loved the introduction of not so common ingredient. I thought it was a fun play on traditional "potatoes" almost. I'm glad we were able to try both of the desserts. My favorite was the tiramisu (I always love tiramisu). The carrot cake was more on the dryer side (almost like a cornbread), which isn't my preference but I enjoyed the flavors. Overall, really enjoyed this place and would definitely come back!

Similarly, we paid $23 for a seared tombo and were given four thin slices of meat. I feel slightly robbed paying about $80 and leaving quite hungry. The food was good, but by no means would I argue this is worth going out of your way for.

I thought that there were so many good options on their menu but I finally decided to go with an Asada Quesadilla with an additional side of rice and beans. I felt like we didn't have to wait too long for the food, which is always a plus. The quesadilla was cooked well, not being burnt and also not being too soft at the same time. There was a tasteful amount of cheese that didn't overwhelm like I sometimes feel some places do with their quesadillas. The portions were also good and satisfying. One thing is that I wish the rice and beans were included with more of their options as I saw that barely any (if at all) came with them which I feel like is a staple in most Mexican food restaurants. This caused the total price for my meal to be a bit higher than I would have liked. All in all, a decent place to try out if you're in this area.
