I had a great experience here as a walk-in for a pedicure last week, so I scheduled an appointment for an acrylic set with the same nail tech.I arrived on time, but he started working on someone else's pedicure instead. I waited almost 40 minutes before he came over to me. I made an appointment for a reason--I have places to be. If they were running behind, a simple apology or update would have gone a long way. Instead, it felt like my time wasn't valued at all. Because of the delay, I wasn't even able to receive the service I had scheduled an appointment for. I went 3 times. The first time for a pedi. Wanted the expensive package. She literally told me No then pointed at what she wanted to do just wow Second time got a fill- it was great 3rd time got a take off a new set plus Color change for my toes. Started off good once new set was on he asked about length I said much shorter than what I had I can't type with long nails. He cuts them. I say need to be shorter they look the same from before. He said no there shorter. Then he asks what shape I said idk. He says try oval. Ok cool. Ask for price for color change on toes - they say 15. On the price list it says toe and nail color change $15 so I questioned that they made up some excuse that that means just for the toes so I finally get my total 45 for the new set $10 for the takeoff five dollars for the length which I don't know why because I asked him to take it down more than another five dollars for the oval shape which he never said I will be charged an extra five dollars for at least let your customer know Just ridiculous to nickel and dime the customers and not telling them when another service is up charge. It's simple to say OK oval is five dollars extra and don't try to charge me more for length when I asked you to cut it down more and then you charge me an extra five dollars when I want my nails shorter. read more

I was ignored and soaking my feet in water for 35-40 minutes while one of the workers chatted and massaged another woman's feet even AFTER she was done and her nails were dry. Pros: she was very fast Cons: my thumbs are crooked, my one thumb was burning and now there's a hard bump on it, I showed her two pictures of what I wanted and she said that she couldn't do either one of those so I had to settle on just a plain color, I got no designs just dip because they didn't have the color I wanted in gel, and it was $70, it truly felt rushed. read more

I did not have an appointment and while they were busy, I only needed to wait about 10 minutes for a gel manicure. The man who did my nails was very precise and took his time. I just moved to Pittsburgh and was looking for a good place I could keep coming back to. I get my nails done about twice a week because of work and I love Pinterest so I needed a place that could do designs. This salon was perfect. It's very small but very clean and quiet. I had a wonder pedicure and then a gel manicure. I really liked that they didn't soak your nails while you are getting your pedicure done. And they are amazing when it comes to making your nails perfect and beautiful. I came in with a fall Pinterest picture and I was very happy with the results. I'll be coming back again. Even told a random lady at Walmart about the place when you asked about my nail. You really should try this place!! I would recommend calling ahead though cause they seemed very busy. So I went without an appointment and waited an hour ... SO WORTH IT! My nails were jacked up by the shop in the mall at robinson my nail tech fixed them and was so perfect he made sure they were perfectly even. He did a wonderful job! I made and appointment for my next visit and will NEVER go anyplace else again. Finally found my forever nail salon. I don't know the name of the tech but he had the nail station right next to the front desk. He was so helpful and friendly. This is my new favorite place to get my nails done. I've been to other nail salons in the area and was never as happy as I was when I left this place. Their service is pleasant, quick, and their work is absolutely beautiful. As soon as you walk in they offer you some water, and the most you would have to wait when it's busy is about a half an hour. I showed the guy a picture of what I wanted and did exactly that. Everyone who goes to this salon are very friendly as well. I wanted to update my review to indicate that I love this place! I went here exclusively for months (except for with friends in other states, where I got some pretty sub-par manicures that needed fixed) until I had to move back to Michigan! It's a great little gem in Pittsburgh and I am planning on dropping by during any further trips to the area! I had so few problems with their gel nails, they maintained my nails so so so well that I didn't have hang nails all year and their gel nails lasted for at least 2 weeks. I was more likely to get bored with the color or be unsatisfied with how much cuticle was showing (or get too busy and end up peeling everything and biting my nails down..) because of how fast my nails were growing than have a nail peel or chip. The only time I can remember where my nail polish DID chip within a week was one of my first few times going in, and they fixed my nails free of charge. They are good at doing short bitten nails as well as longer, better maintained nails. They were also really non judge mental of my nervous habits that were destroying their beautiful work. Oh! And the free bottles of water are a normal occurrence, and not just part of a specific package. It was great! I have yet to find a replacement in Ann Arbor that is as point as this place. I hope they find more people to work there during the summers and during school dance periods. As long as the people they hire are as good as them, I'd say they would be welcome hires! They are always up for fitting people in, so make sure you talk with them if they're busy! I've gone shopping and come back, or just waited as a walk-in. It's worth the wait. Tip: They do gel nails and toe nails and have a huge assortment of brands and colors their heat color changing nails are a must have! They have all of the colors and I'm so sad that no over place I've gone to even considers offering them! They make your tips look like they have a colored French manicure when it's a tad chilly outside! It's so much fun!! I'm so impressed! I went there to have them fix my nails from a previous mistake from another nail salon. Elvin or Alvin (sorry for the spelling) did a wonderful job. I had a picture of what I wanted and he did exactly that! The salon is not to big so you get a more personalized experience. This time I had acrylics until my nails grow back. I decided to try this nail shop out based on some of the pictures and reviews that I had seen on Yelp. When I walked in I noticed that the shop was very clean and I was greeted as soon as I entered. I didn't have a long wait it was approximately 5 minutes and I did go on a weekday afternoon, I'm not sure how busy they are in the evenings or on weekends. I decided to get ombré nails with glitter acrylic on my ring fingers, I like that I was able to see what products they were using such as CND by Young Nails, Shellac and other brands, everything was labeled so I know their using quality products on my nails. I was also happy to see that they offer different designs and their prices are reasonable. He made sure I was happy when I left and everything was how I wanted it. I went there to get my nails done for my senior pictures. While my nails turned out fine, the staff was not exactly the nicest and seemed to have very rude demeanors. Also while trimming my cuticles, the nail tech cut my cuticle and didnt take any precautions to make sure it did not get infected and I had to put a band aid over it after leaving. I never plan on going back or the only reason I would go back is because my nails did look nice. read more

This was my first time at this salon. I walked in and reception asked me to pick a color. I start looking at colors and get maybe half way through before realizing nothing caught my eye. One of the techs came over and asked me to sit down. I tried explaining I couldn't find anything I liked and didn't wish to proceed if I didn't like anything. He actually took the samples out of my hand. So I asked, "don't I need to pick a color?" He rolled his eyes, grabbed the rest of the samples, and tossed them on the station where he wanted me to sit. He then made a face and reception tried diffusing the situation. Upon expressing I didn't want to proceed before finding the color I wanted, the tech threw his hands in the air and basically passed me off to someone else. I said NEVER MIND! And walked out. I don't have time to waste on rude people. Thanks anyways. read more

We usually call ahead to make an appointment since there are so many of us and they have always been able to accommodate. I frequent nail salons around the country and the women who did my nails was the most rude tech I've ever encountered. During the time I worked with her she was standoffish, rushed the process and created the wrong nail shape after I'd shown her a picture. When I kindly explained what I wanted she muttered under her breath that the the shape I was asking for wasn't "almond". After finishing I still gave her a 20% tip which she snatched out of my hand without even looking at me and didn't say thank you. I'd brought both of my parents into the salon, and we spent $140+ tips. Both of them had more positive experiences but unfortunately witnessed this employee's interactions with me and will not returning. read more

Same with my acrylics but got a design, turned out horrible so I had them take it off. They got upset and had me wait for another nail tech because he was upset I made him take it all off. This was probably the best manicure I've ever gotten. (I am so sorry I forgot who did my nails and she deserves all the credit). It was very quick and extremely well done. Every corner of my nails were completely covered, and well shaped and I got so many compliments on them after I left. The picture attached is after 13 days. During this time I renovated the bathroom in my house; painted, sanded, the whole deal and I definitely abused my nails in the sanding process. After, I realized how much I didn't pay attention to taking care of my nails during all this and how perfect they looked. So happy. I will recommend this place to all. read more
