I will start this out by saying I never EVER get to treat myself out and do something nice for myself. So I'm extremely disappointed. The lady who did my nails was extremely rough was filing my nail bed down so so much it was hurting. I asked her if she could stop doing it that much. She was in a rush. She did NOT push/cut my cuticles back AT ALL , and she didn't even start at the base of my nail when she did them. She also did my eyebrows. I walked to my car and could still see hairs in between my eyebrows. Like really.... Wtf did I just pay for. I had to go to work I couldn't go back in there. I fixed it myself. Well last night. One nail just popped off. Haven't had them on a week. and this morning some of the nail polish started chipping on my thumb. I won't be coming back to this establishment after this sadly. To expensive to not even be able to last 1 week! I now get why your names "fast nails" must not care of the job you do just get em in and out. It sadly shows... do better. Fast and good! If you need to have a quick nail-pick-me-up. This is a good place to go. Not sure why they have low ratings but i had a good experience. Staff was attentive, and fast but professional. So bad!! The workers are nice. But they do a terrible job and use illegal products. Their gel doesnt even come off with soak off. The guy had to drill my nail polish off with a tool. I scheduled an appointment with Bon for a gel overlay and gel pedicure. The overlay was done perfect and completed in a timely manner. Once we moved on to the pedicure, another client was extremely unhappy with her service and the staff came over to me asking if they could take Bon to complete the unhappy customers service. I said no at first yet they continued to ask me which was unprofessional and unfair in the first place but I then reluctantly agree as long as I would receive a discount. To no fault of her own the tech they had complete my pedicure was not the same quality that I would've received from Bon. She also did not give me a gel pedicure but ended up with regular polish. At that point I was just fed up and ready to get out of there. I head to the register and only receive $5 off of a total that was over $100 was a slap in the face and unacceptable. Went there to get a fill on 2/3/18. A man I've NEVER seen before does my nails. I have to remind him to fill some of my nails with acrylic and he completely messed up my shape as you can tell in pictures. I had a darker gel polish on my fingers previously and as you can tell the polish was not taken off correctly and you can see it on the new nails. i have been going to fastnails for many years today was my last day supporting Cindy . I had a 1:30 pm appointment. I didn't leave the shop until 5:48pm Cindy is so rude she didnt apologize for my many hours of wait she's so disrespectful. She don't know that customers are who make her business,. I got the solar nails and I was pretty surprised when the technician did not take them all the way off my specifically asked for al full set. I had all the bright color pink, and I thought I'd just go with saint Patrick's day and get a dark green. He only took part of it off and went right over top the pink I didn't say anything I thought okay but he really did a shoddy job underneath my nails which I didn't notice until I got home you can still see that pink right through it it looks filthy is what it looks like I'll never go back his fan didn't even work when he was finally down the nails and all the dust was going right up in my face. read more

Very good nail salon unless you hit one of their busier times and end up waiting 30 minutes to be seen, even with an appointment. Usually love my nails when I leave except for this most recent one, from the pics you can see she didn't paint the whole nail so it already looks like they've grown out a bit. I came to Fast Nails on a rainy dreary day and this was my first time here. I called first thing and made an appointment and they did accommodate me. However the manicure and pedicure was very underwhelming. The technician Cathy's was not friendly which I can tolerate but she rushed the process of the manicure and pedicure. I had to request another coat of polish (for my nails). Everytime the front door opened she looked up and again started the rush process of finishing up so that she could get another person in her chair. This is one nail salon that I will not be coming back to. I am new to Pittsburgh and read the awesome reviews and was hopeful. When I arrived the place seemed run down and unsanitary. There were men (presumably family of the salon) standing around and sitting in the pedicure chairs. They seemed angry and made me feel uncomfortable. The young woman doing my nails seemed nice enough until she started pressuring me to get a gel manicure. I got one because she convinced me that it would last on my cruise honeymoon. She was wrong. After the third day they started peeling and after a week they looked disgusting. The worst part is the entire time she was doing my nails she was watching the talk show on the TV behind us. I left with a crappy gel set and feeling more stressed than pampered. Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere. read more

I was in the area and my feet really needed something to make them pretty, so I called up a few local nail salons and Fast Nails could take me right away. It's a small place without much decoration (less to collect dust!) and without close inspection seemed clean enough. They took me right away me for a regular pedicure and manicure. Both were done in a reasonable time and for a reasonable rate of $32. I appreciated the exfoliating scrub on my feet and legs. I am pleased with the results. The technician didn't talk much, but that was ok, I wasn't in a talkative mood. The rest of the salon was buzzing with talk because many of the customers seemed to know each other and were on a friendly basis with some of the staff. One customer mentioned that she had been going for more than 2 years to Fast Nails and before that hopped around to other salons. I am glad I found Fast Nails. Pity I don't live close by. Every time I give this place a chance I end up irritated that I have spent my money here. I have been going here on and off for the last 3 years (it is close to home), but I think I am finally ready to end my relationship with Fast Nail. Each time I leave there and look at my nails (from a regular manicure) I cant help but think that when I do them at home myself they look JUST THE SAME. Hardly a noticeable difference at all and noting special in the way of top coats etc. Also there is always an uneven application of polish or a missed spot near my cuticle or on the side of some random nail. Some of the UV lights on their dryers are not working and just blow air, not really conducive to the drying and hardening of the polish that you would expect from a manicure you paid for. They give a VERY sub par pedicure here as well...no massaging of the legs (only to apply lotion) and don't rub your feet or do anything extra whatsoever. It's basically just your feet soaking in a tub, clean up your cuticles, and polish your toenails. Not worth the money in my opinion. I can soak in my own tub and polish my toes for free at home, again not a big difference here from what you would do yourself. When I get a pedicure I expect a little bit of pampering and have had WAY better for the same price. As for their acrylic sets - I have had one set from them one time, and it was the last time. The tech who did my nails made them ridiculously wide and uneven lengths. I looked stupid when I left there and was really unhappy with how severe the square shape was (she did not file or shape from the actual tip itself...looked like it was a polished tip right out of the box! Not natural or normal looking at all! Awful. If you are in a really big manicure emergency, go for it, but if you want to really treat yourself, spend your money elsewhere. read more

The girl at the desk told me it would only be a minute or two while the nail stylist finished up with the current customer. After about 30 minutes I was getting really restless. After all, I did call ahead. I noticed the girl in the front was no longer in the front... In fact, she was in the back getting her fresh McDonald's. I was livid. Fast Nail just is not fast at all. Though the techs are nice and polite, they simply are slow, untrained and their work lacking finesse. I do not recommend this place. I will not be back. Details: Visit #1: We arrived as walk-ins. We were asked to come back in 3 hours. Then they called us and asked us to come back an extra 30 mins later. We were ok with that and obliged. However, even after 3 1/2 hours of delay, we still ended up waiting for an additional 20 mins before we had to leave and walked out. Visit #2: We made an appointment this time. We arrived on time and we STILL ended up waiting for 35 mins. I have been to many nail studios over the years and would not be surprised in the least if the nail techs aren't certified. The manicure was inefficient with many snags and hangnails left over, polish left on the cuticle and skin or not covering the nail completely. My nail tech was attempting to polish on the very the last molecules of nail polish out of the empty container and I had to shape my own nail because she did them all crooked.
