Skeptical at first, as I've never been to a massage therapist before, but WOW am I glad I followed my chiropractor's advice. Massage has helped me tremendously and has reduced my pain by 95%. Denise is professional, experienced, knowledgeable, friendly, and gives a phenomenal massage. She makes a point to ask what areas she should focus on and will answer any questions you may have. I told her my hamstring was bothering me and she rubbed the knots out of my muscles. I can't say this massage was relaxing and enjoyable. It actually hurt, HOWEVER, I really needed someone to get in there and massage the knots out, which she certainly did. The experience itself is no frills- this is not a typical spa experience if that is what you are used to. But I am a fan because I can tell I'm going to feel so much better once the soreness wears off. And for $60 (plus tip) for one hour of service.. it can't be beat! I have driven past it many times over the years. When I arrived I was met by the therapist who gave me the massage. She asked me to pay upfront. Then took me back to the room. She had broken English and was hard to understand. The doors to the rooms had sheets hanging from them. They don't close the doors. She and I were the only 2 people in the business. Once she started the massage she was trying to tell me to take off my underwear. She said, "coo, Koo, Koo." Then she literally pulled off my underwear. I said "no'. She then pulled out her phone and spoke into the phone in Chinese and it transliterated it back to me, she said, "You keep off your underwear and next time we will have sex." I was very uncomfortable and I said to her to give me my underwear. I got dressed. She gave me a stamped business card and asked me for a tip, in English. I then left the business. I am 60 years old. I have had hundreds of massages in my lifetime. I have severe arthritis. I am against writing bad reviews but this is an exception. I don't understand how they can be in business. I was scared. One thing to note is that they have to locations in the mall. One on the lower level and one on the upper level. When you book, make sure that you note which location because I initially went to the one downstairs but needed to be at the one that was upstairs. (which was an interesting challenge because at the time, most of the escalators and elevators in the mall were out of service). There was some degree of a language barrier which made it a little difficult to communicate preferences, but they were able to ask about pressure of the massage and what areas you would like to focus on. If you are looking for a relaxing spa environment, this isn't it. You hear noise from the mall and some chatter from employees. It is also no frills in terms of waiting areas or decor. But if you want a massage without needing to make an appointment weeks in advance, this is a great option.
