I definitely have mixed feelings about this nail salon. I will say, it is beautiful and so uniquely decorated, it is huge with plenty of staff, everyone was so friendly and everything was very clean! The complimentary sangria was also very enjoyable. As someone that travels and walks to every destination, I did not feel safe walking to this salon. Sadly we had to pay for an uber there and back. Our nails did came out nice , but definitely did not last long enough. While visiting Pittsburgh my daughter really wanted to get her nails done, so when I found this salon and saw they actually have kid prices I was so excited. BUT, apparently you're only a kid if you're under 7.... So my 9 year old was charged for an adult gel manicure which peeled off in 3 days. Also, my pedicure was more than I normally spend in Florida, which I would have been fine with, if the massage was semi decent, or even existed. So overall if you're looking for a clean nail salon to get into quickly, and have enjoyable people around, this is a great place, but not if you're looking for longevity...

Overall good experience my nails and toes, I got white gel and they look good! I did have an appointment for my friend and I to have manicure, pedicure, and express facials. However we got there at 10am on Sunday, and they seemed confused we had facials, turns out the esthetician is not in on Sundays? So that was a bummer not getting what we made an appointment for. Over all good, still a little pricey for how short the treatments are

I had such a great experience at Gossip! The environment was comfortable, the ambiance was nice, the staff was really friendly. But VINH he did an absolute fantastic job on my nails. He paid close attention to detail and was so thorough. I highly recommend him and will be a returning customer. I also got my lashes done by MALAYA last week and she's just the sweetest and was so fun to talk to! She's the reason I came back to give the nails a try.

I got a lot if compliments on my nails at a Bey concert. Best pic I could find of my nails.

Great place! Well managed, I believe there is a lady and a gentleman who are the owners who are hands on and friendly. Making an appointment and walk-in are easy processes. Check-In is easy. There are many options to pay and tip. I love the diversity of the staff!!! No matter who you are you feel welcomed. I have come here twice so far when I wasn't able to book with my regular tech. The quality of service is amazing. Mr. Randy was the first person to so my nails here when I went to a concert, and SB did my nails today. She is super sweet and gave me a hand massage after my fill! I wasn't expecting that. My hands felt and looked amazing. Diamond hasn't done my nails yet, but she is definitely a team player, helping her co-workers if they need anything. The look/decor is great. And they offer water, tea, coffee (I think), or mimosa if you're of age. I will be back!

To start with, I schedulef an appointment two weeks ahead of time for 3pm. I was rudely greeted told go wait. 30 minutes later, I was finally taken back to get my nails done but it was a male tech vs the female tech I had chosen. This place is clearly a chop shop. I considered leaving, but I was going out of town and wanted my nails done. The manicure I ended up with was terrible. They also have a sign at the register...cash only. The owner is an awful person. Stay far away

Jackie was very nice, she was very upfront about prices, and I got exactly what I wanted based off of an inspo pic.

First I was afraid I was petrified…read moreKept thinking I could never get a decent hair cut! But I spent so many days searching through all yelp reviews I wrote a first I learned a new salon Fab haircut courtesy of Tiniece! I came here on a Saturday without an appointment (always a plus when I can just walk in on a whim!) and was seated in a chair, ready to get my hair chopped off, in less than 10 minutes. The salon is much bigger than it looks from the outside - 3 stations and plenty of room to go around. The prices don't bite - my cut with styling was $35+tip. I'd definitely recommend you check this place out!

This was hands down the worst waxing experience I've had in Pittsburgh. Ever, actually…read more I really wanted to like Anya Salon. They're close to my house, and the outside of the building is really cute. I just needed a quick brow wax touch up and lip. I started getting nervous the second we stepped into the waxing room. There were ceiling tiles missing, exposing all manners of pipes, the floor was torn up, there were holes in the walls, and the entire room was shaking from the washing machine running downstairs. The only things in the room are 2 roller drawers, a mirror on the floor, and an old black massage/wax table. It was... creepy? I started getting more nervous as she began working. I could tell that she was a novice, and didn't have the greatest technique. I'm not that picky though, I just needed my brows cleaned up. The basic shape is there, just follow the lines. Hell, I've gotten my brows waxed at a Great Clips before and been satisfied! Then she showed me my brows. I have never, in the 10 years I've been getting my eyebrows waxed, said anything but "looks good!" when that little mirror is handed to you to inspect their handiwork. I could not believe what she had done to me. One brow is a thin line (think late '90's pam anderson brows), and the other looks normal. My. Eyebrows. Are. Two. Completely. Different. Shapes. I'm jacked up looking, y'all. So, I said, "Woah, this one is much thinner the the other one," and she had the audacity to tell me that they're two different eyebrows so they're never going to look exactly the same. I couldn't. I mean-- what? I've had these eyebrows for thirty-two years, and they've always pretty much looked identical. I suggested we skip the lip wax, paid only for the service (I have literally never not tipped at a salon), and got the h-e double hockey sticks out. Now to figure out how to deal with this catastrophe that is my face.

While guests were getting their makeup done and learning Spring makeup tips and tricks, we shopped around the boutique. The space is really big, and she curated really cute clothes, jewelry, and accessories. She also sells Jane Iredale makeup which I just learned about for the first time! The clothes were reasonably priced for a boutique, and there was a mix of comfortable basics to dresses. I also loved the waterproof, gold jewelry that she gets from Paris. There is a fitting room in the back, and I tried a couple things on. We browsed through the makeup and skincare products, but really learned a lot when it was our turn to get our makeup demonstration. Lauren the owner and Dessa (another incredible makeup artist) tried different Jane Iredale products on my mom and I. They both did an amazing job! Lauren explained that the Jane Iredale products are clean, vegan, and actually good for your skin. She also told us there is no talc in her products. The eyeshadow blended so nicely and didn't crumble or fall below the eyes. It was fun to learn about and we left with beautiful makeup! We bought a few of the makeup products, and Lauren ordered a BB cream for my mom that she was sold out of. The boutique is comfortable and Lauren is great. I loved that she hosted this party so we could check out the space! It seems like the boutique is really known for their facials. I found out about it from my friend who raved that she got the best facial ever at Vanity Box. I definitely plan to book a service in the future. I recommend checking out the boutique and getting your makeup done here for an event! It is conveniently located right on Butler Street near 40th Street.
