When I arrived, the check in process was clean and easy, and I was greeted warmly. I only had to wait a few minutes in the waiting room before Marisa was ready for my massage. Marisa immediately asked if I was allergic to any scents and/or body products, which I truly appreciated. She then asked if I had any specific concerns or areas I wanted her to focus on. When I told her about my TMJ flare up, she was very responsive. My massage was amazing! She was truly knowledgeable, open to feedback, and made me feel relaxed. After my massage, I went on to my facial. This was my first time ever receiving a facial, so I was super excited for Kaylea to work her magic. However, it turned out to be a rather disappointing experience. First of all, the walls were so thin I could hear every conversation had throughout the building, which made it very hard to relax. Secondly, I thought a steamer would be used, but warm towels were used instead. When she asked me what type of face mask I wanted, I wasn't sure of my choices. The only choice she gave me was the hydrating mask, so that's the one I ended up going with due to my lack of knowledge. While the mask was on, she was on her phone right behind me. It was super awkward... I definitely wish they would leave the room while the mask is setting! My skin felt great afterward, but the entire experience was uncomfortable, and it was so hard to relax! Overall, I probably wouldn't return to Element Day Spa. I don't treat myself often, so I rather pick a spa that really is more relaxing.

Granted, it was the "luxurious" one but it was $90! I honestly have gotten better pedicures at smaller nail places like the one in Settler's Ridge and off University Blvd. near Tropical Smoothie Cafe. For $90, I was looking for wars to an extended foot massage and massage chairs, both of which did not happen. You have to climb up onto the chairs and it's incredibly awkward. They do not have a lot of options when it comes to color, and not the usual OPI, Essie, etc. Overall, it gets 2 stars because my nail tech was nice enough, but not incredibly friendly. It smelled good and they had fun piano versions of pop songs playing. For $40 plus tip, it wasn't worth it. I won't be going back and will stick to the places I mentioned above!

She helped me to understand where we were starting and how long and what it will take to achieve that finish line. Rachel is incredibly knowledgeable and is very helpful. She's an asset to this center and I have to believe everyone working there knows this. I can honestly say that I gave this center a trial run, but became a client in under an hour. I'll continue to go not only for the treatments, but the knowledgeable and caring team that make this place very special in a sea of fly-by-night clinics. Job very well done!

I wanted a deep tissue massage but was told I had to do Swedish for my first visit. It was barely any pressure and I left feeling like I didn't really have a massage. Finally, the manicure was okay, but the polish chipped in less than one day--for a gel manicure. I also was surprised that I couldn't use the gift card for tip either. "The Glacial" winter glow revival facial included an herbal steam, double cleanse, facial massage, dermaplane and snow algae face mask. It all added up to one of the most wonderful self-care experiences I have had, and the way my skin glowed afterward -- and has continued glowing and looking improved overall in the days since -- far exceeded my expectations. Beyond the results, though, I have to talk about how wonderful the experience is from the moment you walk in. Dana opens the waiting room 10 minutes before your appointment time so you can fill out basic paperwork regarding your medical history and skin goals. Then you talk to make sure you're on the same page. The session itself starts and ends with a short deep breathing exercise, helping you center yourself and focus. Everything felt so blissful and relaxing that I drifted off several times, and kept having to bring myself back from the mini dreams I was slipping into as I didn't want to miss the experience! The facial massage especially was wonderful, and a helpful starting point toward my skin goals. I think what I most appreciated is that when we discussed my typical skin care routine, which is incredibly low maintenance and a bit directionless right now, Dana could not have been kinder or more judgment free. She didn't push any products and gave me a sample to start out with, which I'm applying morning and night alongside one other product I'm using. Her other advice was to wake up and hydrate my skin in the morning with a splash of cold water. Seriously, free cold water. What a refreshing change from many estheticians; you genuinely get the feeling she cares. This is a gem of a small business, and I will absolutely be back to continue working with her.
