Perhaps my visit was an anomaly, so I do plan to give them a try if I ever come back to O-side. What was off? The special of the evening was bass. Something I love and haven't had for a long time so it was a must order. Unfortunately after two attempts, they still couldn't get it right. Over salted, overcooked and poor cuts. My friend had ordered the exact same dish, but no issues with hers so I knew my meal was a bust. However, the service was friendly and gracious, the ambience was trendy and upscale with beach casualness, having one of my favorite, hard-to-come-by drinks on hand, the hot mama oysters and smooth delicious cheesecake saved 333 from a poor review. They have parking within the hotel that it is located, parking is underground and you can take an elevator up to the restaurant. Several tables are located on the boardwalk overlooking the ocean. Offer a great happy hour every day from 3-7 PM in the bar. A number of appetizers for $9 as well as speciality cocktails for $9. I would also suggest getting added to the restaurant mailing list as they offer several exciting events. Last weekend I went to "bubbles and blossoms" you pay around $50 and get 3/4 glasses of champagne and get coached on making an adorable flower arrangement. read more

We came in for Thanksgiving dinner. I spoke with the restaurant several times in advance and no one mentioned the fact that it was a preset menu. Not a major turnoff if the choices were balanced and well made. Three choices for a first course: Fried Oysters (yuck); Very sweet Pumpkin Soup (sugary sweet) or a Mixed Green Salad with a few pistachios, pickled onion and a sugary sweet "Citrus Dressing". None of these were very good. We both selected traditional Turkey with Cornbread Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy and Green Beans as our main course. The Turkey, stuffing and green beans were delicious. The mashed potatoes practically nonexistent. Dessert was Apple Cobbler with ice cream. They forgot to bring a spoon for my daughter's dessert. Took a good ten minutes to rectify it. I kid you not---at least a half dozen other waiters, bussers and even their manager ignored my waves to ask for a spoon. They "ran out" of half and half for the coffee----at 5:00 pm no less. Their milk separated and curdled in the cup. With prices like these ($69 per plate) I was even less impressed by their additional "service charge" of 4% added to every bill. This was NOT a tip for the server---this was a tip for their owner. My favorite place in Oceanside, never disappoints. They have a large stock of vodkas, they make great martinis. I love how you can add things on top of the steak, even though u don't need to. Love this place and location. Upscale and modern steak and seafood house located in Oceanside. Best to make a reservation if you would like to get in without a wait on a weekend. The servers are professional, but could be a bit more knowledgeable in their menu. My husband and I came for a celebration and chose 333 as there are minimal great steak houses in North County. We were greeted with a friendly face and seated quickly. We were sat by a door that continued to open close all night. It would have been great if they would have asked if that would be ok with us as I stayed cold all evening. The wine was great, the food was spectacular, but the service could have been slightly better. We had to ask for more wine, side dishes were left behind, and we had to ask for a dessert menu. We went into 333 Pacific last Saturday to meet up with some old friends we hadn't seen in a while, and it was one of the best dinners we had ever had. Our server, Julia, was incredible! Attentive, kind, helpful, and brought a positive energy to the experience. We started with the pork belly and Calamari, which are, in our opinion, a must-order. Our cocktails were also amazing. The restaurant's vibe is exactly what you want for a nice sunset by the ocean. All the wait staff was very friendly and on top of their stuff. My partner and I split the Surf and Turf for 2 plates for dinner, which was fantastic. It is a great amount of food for the price and delicious, too. I got the berry cheesecake for dessert, and we split the butter cake. Absolutely delicious! 333 Pacific is the perfect night out or a meet up with friends. Three of us went for dinner on a Thursday, so the restaurant was not super busy. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the sunset over the Pacific. Two of us ordered the seared Ahi Tuna, and one ordered the meatloaf. All three entrees were delicious. The hostess was very pleasant and helpful. Our waiter, Tony, however, was not at all freindly and seemed that he'd rather be doing something other waiting on us. At the end of our meal, for example, Tony brought the check and put it in the middle of the table. We were enjoying our conversation and did not immediately pick up the bill, so a short time later, Tony ceremoniously picked up the check then put it back down saying "Here's your check". It was not late in the evening, and there were plenty of open tables around us, so there was no reason for such behavior. He obviously had decided that we were done with our meal and should move on! We happened into 333 Pacific on a whim after a beach walk. They open at 3pm so we decided to try Happy Hour and share some appys. If you are in the area, DO NOT MISS THIS. Hubby had an IPA, and I enjoyed a Pretty in Pink cocktail with Deep Eddy Lemon and Absolut Vanilla. Not sure I liked it, so I had to order a second one, LOL. They were both perfectly shaken, chilled and delicious. We shared the charred brussels sprouts, which came in an incredibly generous bowl with lots of flavors, cheese and balsamic glaze. The calamari was lightly breaded and grilled to perfection, not over fried but hot and crispy, dressed with yummy Sriracha and fresh herbs. The shrimp ceviche was fresh, cold and yummy, garnished with red peppers, avocado, lime juice, and micro greens. Served with chips. Happy hour cocktail menu was $9 for specialty cocktails, drafts were $8 and shared plates were $10 each. Servings were very generous and everything was super flavorful. Finished off the happy hour sharing a s'more's dessert and decaf latte. Now for another walk to shed some calories! I can't finish my review without mentioning our server, Raven, who was attentive, beautiful, and highly accommodating. She provided customer service at its finest. I was gifted a Cohn restaurant group gift card and chose 333 out of all the options because I've heard a lot of good things. I started with the New Zealand sauvignon blanc which our server recommended and it was 10/10. My boyfriend also liked the Raida Japanese Lager. Complimentary rosemary bread and honey butter was brought out (one roll each) and was insanely good. 333 is doing a special 3 course meal for $40 until Jan 12 and we decided to do that. We were warned by our server that the special menu has pretty small portion sizes so I'm not sure how these will compare to dishes on the permanent menu. We got the Caesar salad and meatball trio to start- the meatball was delicious but was only one meatball, and the Caesar salad was a pretty average Caesar. For mains we shared the salmon and steak and the salmon blew the steak out of the water in my opinion. The steak was alright but the scallops were a bit dry and could have used a little more flavor. The salmon on the other hand was cooked nicely, had a great lemon butter caper sauce, and even the quinoa was really good. For dessert we each had a dessert bar trio with a raspberry and cream cheese, lemon, and chocolate caramel pecan bar. I didn't love the lemon bars aftertaste but the other two were good- raspberry was my boyfriends favorite and I liked the chocolate, it reminded me of the old Starbucks oat bars. I included that window seating is preferred in my reservation and we did get seated near a window which was nice during sunset. Overall, it wasn't bad but for a three $$$ restaurant maybe a tad underwhelming. What an amazing location. Located on the corner adjacent to the front entrance of the pier, 333 Pacific, is great place to celebrate a special occasion. Our party of 9 was seated on the corner booth of the restaurant and our waiter was definitely attentive. He took our drink orders. I got their version of the old fashion. If you're into old fashions as I am I would skip this. The coffee tones to the drink masks the flavor of the bourbon rye. I was not a fan. The Sazerac was also okay. Tasted more like cough medicine. The spicy pineapple was good but there jalapeño did leave a lingering burn to your throat. Cali Mango was okay. Tasted like pineapple juice w tajin on the rim. Thinking about the cocktails they were okay. Nothing too memorable. I would probably stick to the wine. The Malbec, Amalaya, and Cabernet, 10 span, were good. For appetizers we had the lobster bisque, Caesar salad, sweet chili calamari, Oyster Rockefeller and the edamame hummus. Out of the choices mentioned the sweet chili calamari was the best. The Oyster Rockefeller was small, and lacked flavor. To be fair to them the best oyster Rockefeller I had was an New Orleans. As for the entrees, we had the 333 filet trio, the 14oz dry age New York steak, American waygu meatloaf and 333 steak burger. I think the dish we all had positive remarks about was the 333 foot trio. The bleu cheese was the best. As for everything else they were good but not anything a steakhouse of this caliber wouldn't offer. Overall, 333 Pacific is a great restaurant if you're looking to celebrate a special occasion. Located across from the pier it's a special place for good solid American fine dining. 333 Pacific has been our favorite restaurant in Oceanside since we moved here in 2020. They've changed executive chefs I believe since then and like most places, prices have gone up. The last time we went with my family who wanted to go back to order the filet mignon (after loving it so much last time they were in town), they said it just wasn't the same. That night I ordered my favorite appetizer for dinner, the fried oysters with bone marrow. It was awesome. We recently went to the bar for happy hour (which does have some really great options) and I tried to order the oysters/bone marrow again, but they no longer offer it. Actually their whole menu had changed. There are quite a few new dishes that I'm excited to try, and will let ya'all know what we think :). Definitely go for the view and the happy hour. read more

Took my family here for dinner for my son's 16th birthday. Food was just ok... not great though. For the amount of money I spent, my expectations weren't met. I ordered the lobster Mac n cheese and my son ordered the NY steak dry aged with a lobster tail added on. This dish alone was $99!!! I would expect perfection, unfortunately it was far far from it. He ordered medium rare. Def not. Was more medium well and even super dried out on the ends. My daughter ordered a lobster bisque, four-ounce steak and a brownie ice cream. I liked how she got to enjoy some really good steak here. My husband and I also thoroughly enjoyed our dry-aged steak and cod so I totally recommend them. The cod was lightly seasoned over crispy fried rice and I thought it was a nice balance. Try out their creamy mac and cheese if you have room in your stomach too! I asked the waiter on cocktail recommendations and he suggested to try their popular key lime pine cocktail. Therefore, I was very disappointed when I found out that I had very limited choices when I got there. In addition, our dessert was brought to us prior to our getting our entrees, our the food was not good. The shrimp toast was simply shrimp on a piece of dry toast, and my risotto was way to peppery. David gave us excellent service and made us feel very comfortable. Tried to get the young hostess attention but she didn't seem to have customer service awareness to notice the heat or that we didn't have water yet. The party she was seating also immediately commented on the heat but she had walked off so finally when our server came I was able to request it be turned off. Waited again for the check even though we let the server know we needed to get going. I also noticed my card was ran for slightly higher amount than receipt reflected, maybe auto gratuity? Didnt ask because again we were already running late on account of check being slow. The appetizers were good but the steak burger was very busy more like a meatloaf and bun was soggy. An Oceanside gem! Made a reservation through open tables and requested patio seating on a Friday night. 333 Pacific did an outstanding job! First off, I got the best patio table in the restaurant, server Zaida was absolutely incredible and provided excellent service throughout the entire meal. We had a reservation at 5:15 and ended up staying close to closing and Zaida did not once make me feel like we were hogging her table. Really great dinner/night out. We have been to this Restaurant 7 times. The Christmas Eve meal last night will probably be our last. The Cioppino I ordered was spiced so much with lemon to be almost inedible-I sent it back. My wife's lentils the Seared Tuna were impossibly over salted- we sent it back. It took the restaurant 24 minutes to send out another Cioppino, this time the broth was perfect, about 1/2 the quantity of the first one with virtually no seafood in it at all-they clearly had run out of Muscles, salmon and shrimp.My wife's lentils were sent to another table by mistake, so she waited 30 minutes to get another order. The manager did remove my wife's entrée from the bill- that was not the point. We have eaten at fine restaurants all over the world, we have never sent back two items before. Consistency matters. I want to start this review by saying that the bartenders are great! My husband and I stopped in for a drink and lunch so we sat at the bar. We engaged in great conversations with the couple to the right of us and the bartender. The entire time we were there, the woman sitting 2 barstools from my husband was FaceTiming on her phone. That in and of itself was annoying. But she got louder and louder as time went on and the cursing increased. Once our food came, it became intolerable. I politely asked her if she could take herself off of FaceTime and lower her volume. She became irate, started cursing at us and told us to leave. Her barrage continued and I told the bartender, who already knew we were annoyed, that we shouldn't have to take that behavior. He went and got the manager. In the meantime, the man she was with did tell her that restaurant etiquette is that you aren't on FaceTime and having a loud conversation. When the manager came out, I explained what happened and he apologized. He then went over to her and without asking for of hearing her version, he apologized to her. That made me and my husband irate and we let him know. Apologizing to her when she is the one who was rude and then screamed and cursed at us. We immediately asked for our check and left. Not sure what exactly the manager is being paid to do. Food, drinks and bartender were great. Had the manager appropriately handled the situation, it could have saved the review. This is the first time I have ever left a Yelp review. That's how pissed off we are. read more
