Visited 333 twice in two days. The first time made a reservation and paid for an "experience" which included a candle lit rose petal table. Our server was above excellent. The wine list was fantastic! Even saw some of my favorites from Napa on the list. We had the octopus, a salad and the filet trio. All were amazing. The octopus was above excellent. It was super tender and the best I have ever had outside of a Michelin Star restaurant. Met a friend for some apps and drinks the next evening. Sat at a booth in the open bar seating . I ordered an espresso martini which was one of the best I've had. We ordered the octopus again along with the artichoke and steak skewers. All were amazing. The skewers were super tender. I come in this restaurant regularly for a drink or two. The usual guys working the bar are always great and clearly work well together, but this time there was some new guy who I've never seen before. It was clear that he was completely throwing off the usual flow (seemed like maybe a new manager? Because he wasn't making any drinks). All I could take from it is that there was obvious micromanaging going on and was all up in the other employees space- which made me extremely uncomfortable and tense while trying to enjoy my drink. I could tell other guests were wondering what was going on too. Went on a first date here. He put his name and phone number in and told us a table should be ready latest 7:15 pm and they'll text us. We never received a text, came inside and got sat at a table outside. Was given the menus and about 10 minutes later got water and bread. We waited for another 50 minutes expecting to see a server come over to us soon. After an hour we decided to leave because no one spoke to us or even acknowledged we were there. The filet was ordered as rare, it was served as medium, almost well done. The filet had no seasoning, not even salt and the sear which typically is low pan temp. The Wild Mushroom Risotto was not edible. We sent back the Burratta salad, as it was very watery and looked like wet cottage cheese. Really sad. I hope the Cohn restaraunt group gets this under control as it's a huge punch in the gut and not consistent with their other restaurants. Great location. We went here for dinner a few days ago and were hoping to have a better experience. The restaurant itself was very hot and humid and there were flies and gnats in the dining area. The service was very slow, with servers letting us know they were understaffed. While they apologized, it was clear there needs to be better management of their staffing. Came here on new year day around 3:45 ish. We were standing at the front/host area for a while and nobody seemed to greet or acknowledge us. That was a major disappointment already. Finally a hostess came by and sat us at the bar since she said the main dine in area was not open until 4pm. Arrived on time for our dinner had signed up for the romance experience but never got charged for the experience don't know if it was even registered. Took over 40 minutes to get cocktails had our oysters arrive before our drinks. Then took forever for dinner to arrive. My wife had the sea scallops with the sweet corn risotto and the risotto was heavily salted. I was enticed by the special of Sea Bass now the server never said how it was to be prepared just what was on it. The Sea Bass was the full fish head and bones still in the fish. Big mistake they should've deboned that fish before serving it. Explained to the manager about the risotto and the sea bass and also trying to figure out why it took almost 2 hours when everyone else around us was getting their food and leaving. They offered to get us some lobster bisque and when that finally arrived there was no lobster chunks and it was also very heavily salted. Not a good thing for people with high blood pressure. When I explained to the manager what the issues were he's like well I don't want you leaving here hungry I said yeah but you just brought out my wife's food and mine still hasn't come out since I ordered the salmon because that was the last sea bass. The manager came and told me the bones in the fish was standard which is unheard of! At 10 pm we left our 730 reservation with no food available to us and no place to take my bride. This is one of our favorite restaurants and we recently went there with our kids for a last minute dinner. It was our first time taking the kids and we were thoroughly impressed with the kid's menu. With the crudo which was great but I love heat. So the bottom cut the heat too much but that's what a cucumber will do. Ended with the trio. Wow. So much flavor. Not sure how each filet was prepared but the flavor was amazing. The difference from the potatoes cheese and other flavorings brings each bite out differently. For two people it's a perfect amount plus a bonus. Our bonus was the giant lobster tail which was a blast to chow down. Finished with espresso and a small desert. The views of the beach are great. For my 500th review, I'd like to write about an evening I had here. You might all know I've been on a mission lately, checking out steakhouses, and this place has been on my radar for a good minute. Funny thing, I LOVED the lamb lollipops from the appetizer menu and I thought the filet trio I ordered for my main was memorable but not the star. The char from the grill and the sauces made the lamb absolutely amazing. I also enjoyed oysters, sautéed mushrooms, seafood fritters and a poached pear with creme brûlée and granola, in no particular order of preference. The server was very knowledgeable of the menu, and he knew everything from where the oysters were from (warm water today, Baja) to the beef (Brandt!). It was nice to relax on the patio and gaze out to the pier, and I appreciated that it wasn't a rushed meal. Start to finish, it lasted over two hours. They have extensive wine and vodka offerings! The mixed drink menu was unique, and I tried a couple, but they pour way too stiff for me. I was here more for the food anyway. Overall, I would definitely come back, especially for the lamb! This is such a perfect low-key (read: casual attire okay) date or special occasion place. And apparently, you can ask for the whole champagne and rose petals deal when you make a reservation. read more

Not a Fan Anymore! Disappointed Return Visit - Quality and Service Have Slipped I've been coming to 333 Pacific for years and used to rave about their steaks and stellar service. Unfortunately, that's no longer the case. What was once a go-to spot for a great night out has turned into more of a tourist trap with declining food quality and inattentive service. We had multiple issues during our recent visit. I took my department out for a reward dinner for a job well done and I felt like I delivered way under what they performed at work. I will not be using this place as a company dinner locaqtion anymore. We asked for bread three separate times, and each time our server said they'd bring it--yet it never arrived. We ordered Brussels sprouts as a side, only to be told much later that they had been taken to another table and never reordered for us. On top of that, one of our drinks never showed up at all, and no one seemed particularly concerned about correcting the mistake. The steaks, which used to be the highlight of the meal, were underwhelming and lacked the flavor and quality we used to expect from this place. It's disappointing to see how far 333 Pacific has fallen. Sadly, I won't be recommending it to friends anymore. There are better options in Oceanside that still care about food and service. read more
