The mission of this coffee shop is awesome. It is staffed by employees with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The coffee and drinks were just okay but if you are visiting the State Farmers Market you should stop by.

We stumble upon this coffee when we went to Raleigh. We love that they employ special needs people. Pretty decent coffee!

Atmosphere: 321 Coffee is a cute corner stand in the State Farmers Market. The vibe is very friendly, welcoming, and the coffee stand is well-decorated with aesthetically pleasing colors and string lights. There are also 2 small tables where you can sit and enjoy your coffee. Service: Our service was decently fast, but most of all, extremely caring and friendly. The pride and camaraderie of the workers made it feel like the coffee was made with purpose and joy. Food: We ordered an Iced Cinnamon Roll Latte, which consisted of brown sugar cinnamon and white mocha flavoring and whipped cream on top. We were expecting more of a sweet, cinnamon flavor in the latte. Unfortunately, it just tasted like a plain syrup latte, so $6-7 was pretty steep for the quality of it. Also, our friend ordered Megan's Cold Brew, which was flavored with french vanilla and topped with sweet creme, and we were surprised to find that the cold brew was significantly sweeter than the latte. Overall: 321 Coffee is a stand and cause we love to support. However, for the drinks themselves, we would rate them closer to a 3.5 -- we would come back because of 321 Coffee's convenient location in the Farmers Market, but the coffee wasn't particularly notable.

321 Coffee is such a cute coffee spot in the Farmers Market building. The service is fantastic and the coffee is delicious. I was with a group of 5- all of ordered something different. I ordered their special for Christmas in July- a peppermint latte. It was perfect. Everyone in the group enjoyed their drinks. They have a couple of tables available right next to the coffee stand, but we chose to sit at the picnic tables right outside the building. There is a lot of great merchandise for purchase. I have heard a lot of great things about their fresh roasted beans so I bought two bags of their whole bean coffee. I can't wait to come back and try some of the other coffee drinks!

There are a few times when you visit somewhere that pulls you to come back again and again. 321 Coffee is like that, but here it would be anything: the conversation with the baristas, the best service, an overall great experience, or the coffee itself. This was my first visiting the Hillsborough location (I normally go to the State Famers market location) and it exceeded all expectations. I can't imagining visiting Starbucks after coming to this location. If you haven't tried it, you absolutely must! (They also have great seasonal drinks- their pumpkin ones this past fall were amazing) Add to your list if you haven't visited or switch up your normal routine to incorporate 321- if their mission doesn't sway you, the coffee will!

Located inside the farmer's market, it was such a neat little coffee shop. I only got a black hot coffee so there's not much to write about, but I loved the concept of inclusion. All the employees I interacted with there were super sweet. Great location and great service.

Stopped in here while visiting the farmers market. The staff was extremely friendly. It was cool being able to grab a coffee and walk around the market. Even though it's in the market, they've decorated their booth to make it seem like you're in a stand alone coffee shop with seating and all. I ordered their pride latte which came with oat milk included which was awesome! I'd definitely come back again for it.

In honor of #NationalCoffeeDay it's only right to give todays post to 321 Coffee! 321 Coffee is located in Raleigh, and they built their brand to focus on inclusion. They demonstrate the value of inclusion by primarily hiring adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The coffee is really good, but seeing the purpose "in action" takes it to another level. It made my heart so happy to know that this coffee shop cares, and has opened the doors for many people. They have two open locations in Raleigh (Farmers Market + Downtown) and are set to open a third location in Durham. Please show them love and support, they truly deserve it. PS. Charlotte is ready for a location whenever you are. xoxo, @rondaexplores

If I could give 10 stars I would! First of all the coffee is great! I really like this roaster. I love coffee and like to pick up beans from locals when I find a great roast. The service was great from the get go. I ordered a regular latte and my daughter an oat milk latte. I'm gluten free and asked about gf goods and they didn't have any. Honestly they were pretty much sold out of everything. I have to talk about the service. THE SWEETEST BARISTAS, staff, etc. the regular questions that you ask at a cafe, were answered with the sweetest, infectious, happy responses. I learned all about the dif types of coffees they have. When we got our coffees, one cup had a beautiful heart. When my daughter realized she had a heart and expressed how happy she was the barista with a huge smile, giggled and said "sooo cute, I know" in the sweetest and most infectious way. It was the 100% kindness I felt at every touchpoint from ordering lattes, getting info on the dif coffees they sell and getting my coffee that I had to run and give this yelp review. This experience made my day!! My week!! Very worth it! Go support this business!

A Truly Artisanal Bakery…read more I rarely leave reviews on yelp anymore, but this bakery is so impressive, it inspired me to type this down. I'm from the Bay Area and loved going to all kinds of bakery when I travel. I did not have much expectations when I came to Raleigh. I tried Paul and Jack and couple other bakeries, they were all good, but not impressive. The first thing I noticed was their Mill Room, and second I noticed that they have 100 score on hygiene. Not that I care about the score that much but still impressive. Then We got a bunch of pastries, the shortbread was the first one we tried and wow, it was so simple yet so flavorful, truly malted tasting shortbread, it has so much depth in taste. Then I had a had a ham and cheese croissant, it was on the salty side but I kept eating it when I'm not even hungry. The true winner though, is the plain croissant I got which traveled with me for 72 hours back home. I got it out of my bag, slightly flattened by all my stuff, I expect it to taste flat and meh. I put it in the oven for 6 minutes and it turned out to be the best croissant I've had. It was flaky, soft and soo flavorful. Now I cannot stop thinking about it. Lastly, I want to say that with so many pop ups, new bakeries coming up in different cities, often times we were chasing that unique flavors, that special toppings on croissants, but Boulted Bread stayed true to bread, and perfected the craft without focusing on "exotic" or "special" flavors. I truly respect this.

A bialy (bee-AH-lee) is a traditional Polish-Jewish bread roll, similar to a bagel but with key differences: it is baked, not boiled, has a dimpled center filled with onion bits and poppy seeds, and is generally softer and less dense. Originating in Białystok, Poland, these rolls are traditionally served plain or toasted with toppings like butter or schmear. 2. Rye shortbread. Not too sweet. Just perfection! 3. Bran biscotti. I like the idea of a high-fiber bran biscotti over a refined flour one. 4. Buchi Tepache. I got the mango-pineapple flavor. This is a local NC brand. It's a mildly fermented drink that originated in Mexico. I got the ingredients from their website (drinkbuchi.com): Organic Tibicos (Water, Organic Fair Trade Certified™* Cane Sugar, Organic Kefir Culture), Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Organic Mango Puree, Organic Pineapple Juice Concentrate, Organic Whole Lemon Puree, Organic Mango Natural Flavor, Organic Pineapple Natural Flavor, Organic Monk Fruit Extract. 5. The baguette. Unlike a refined flour white bread baguette at La Farm Bakery, this one is made of a red wheat flour. Turkey Red flour is an heirloom, organic hard red winter wheat brought to Kansas in 1873 by Mennonite immigrants. Prized for its rich, nutty flavor and superior baking qualities, it is often used for artisan bread, sourdough, and pasta due to its unique, sometimes more digestible, gluten profile. It is commonly stone-ground and available from local Kansas millers. 6. The star of the show was the Everything Croissant. Like the Everything Bagel but soft and buttery. Topped with all the sesame seeds and seasonings with a cream cheese interior. So good! I do plan on returning!

I got a hot americano first which was fantastic; i use this as a base measure for how well a shop pulls shots without having to completely sacrifice the drink if its subpar. I also grabbed a baked good which was also great, i wouldve preferred it warmed up, although admittedly, they probably could have if id asked. I'm a big fan of lighter-roasted, funky, expressive coffees, and Black & White absolutely delivers. Their roasting style leans into vibrant, fruit-forward profiles, and they do it with confidence. The downtown Raleigh location is fantastic too. It's right in the middle of everything, making it a great stop for a date night, meeting up with friends, or just dropping in for a quick but exceptional cup. Their seasonal menu was small but mighty -- just a couple of options -- but the kind where every drink looks so good you wish they'd never rotate them off the menu. I started with the orange cardamom flat white, and it was perfect in every way. Beautifully presented and incredibly balanced. The espresso, milk, orange, and cardamom all complemented each other without any one flavor taking over. It was nuanced, aromatic, and just a joy to drink. For my second drink, I ordered a Rodrigo Sanchez pour-over, a co-fermented Colombian coffee labeled with passion fruit notes. It was everything I want from a pour-over -- bright, juicy, and expressive, with the kind of sweet stone fruit and berry notes that make light-roasted coffee so exciting. Black & White continues to prove why they're one of the most respected specialty roasters around. If you love adventurous coffee with huge flavor and careful execution, this place is an absolute must-visit.

These were the only items in their selection that had a price, $4, so I got two togo. The lemon bars and blueberry bars looked delicious, so I got two each for after dinner. We got 50 little neck clams, and needed some bread. Their sourdough looked good, so I got a loaf. The sourdough that we bought was literally the most dense bread I have ever eaten. Even soaking it in clam broth did not help. Tried an un-soaked piece, and it was like eating tough jerky. The dogs didn't even want it. After dinner I cut one each of the pastries in quarters to share. The lemon had a very slight taste of lemon (very very slight), and although the blueberry appears to be packed with fruit, it only tasted like soggy dough. (See pic). My last shot was the macaroon. I gave one to my daughter to split with me. She barely split it. The filling was like the mixed it with marshmallows. It stretched while the cookie crushed, and also did not taste good at all. I would like to think they got a new pastry chef that is learning, but sorry, at 42 bucks for that amount of food that was all bad, I'm not going to be another guinea pig. Oh, no one wanted the other lemon or blueberry bar, so sadly I threw them out.
