Latte and americano, cruffin and a delicious chocolate chip cookie

Cute little vegan coffee shop, with beautiful kitties available for adoption (gotta make an appointment to see them, keep in mind). Very friendly staff, the cruffin and the latter with almond milk was delicious!

My girlfriend booked us an appointment at the cat cafe, and upon arriving we instantly felt safe. The staff were very kind, and the merch was super cute! We got a cat coaster and 2 matching stickers with our pride flags. The cats were well behaved and soooo cute. After our session was over, we got drinks. In honor of pride month we got 2 of the June-only drink specials (lemonade and lavender matcha), which were delicious! When we ordered the person behind the counter joked at us a bit, "ah yes, the two lesbian drinks" and that was the highlight of our day! Amazing and safe place for queer couples looking for a cute date :)

I was thrilled to get a last minute spot thanks to a cancellation and Purr Cup Cafe did not disappoint! If you are a cat lover (I definitely qualify!), you will enjoy this experience immensely. Very easy to find, slightly limited parking - I lucked out and was able to park right out front even on a Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, none of my family could attend with me, but that meant that I got the entire room to myself! For an hour! Woot! I got to snuggle on 6 cats and after numerous head bumps and a lot of purring, my hour was up. The room is wonderful, very clean, very bright and the music was nice, too. The cats were very well taken care of, very friendly and had plenty of toys, perches, beds, and windows to bird watch. I grabbed some peppermint fudge on the way out and it was delicious! I will 100% return and soon!

Such a great price for an hour of petting the cutest kitties. I was in town for work and saw this place on the way to my hotel and immediately booked for that day ($5 on Wednesdays!!). I ended up getting the whole hour to myself and the cats were all so well socialized and sweet. I would have adopted two on the spot if I didn't have to catch a flight the next day. The people working there were very friendly and the matcha was pretty good as well! Highly recommend. The cafe and cat room were very clean and the gift shop had a lot of cool stuff

I had the pleasure of visiting this adorable cat cafe recently. I've been to several cat cafes over the years, and I always find interacting with the adoptable cats to be a fun experience - this was no exception. Purr Cup's cat room typically houses 5-10 cats, all of whom are adoptable through Safe Haven rescue. If you want to spend time visiting with the cats, it's recommended that you order tickets online - currently $10 per person for a 55 minute visit (open to the public) or $55 for a private experience for you and up to 5 of your cat-loving friends. If you have a child under 9, you are asked to book a private experience. If you prefer to just have a quick to-go cafe experience (minus cuddling with cats), they have a small bar area where you can grab a yummy vegan drink and cookie. They also have some really adorable cat- themed gift items, such as socks, stickers, & t-shirts. The cat room itself is smaller than other cat rooms I have visited, but it is clean, bright, and thoughtfully decorated with the cats' comfort in mind - there are plenty of perches on which they can lay, cubbies, soft bedding, and a big window for their viewing pleasure. There is a kid-sized table with chairs in the center of the room, as well as one or two other chairs and a bench - not a lot of adult seating but certainly adequate for a small group. There are also cat-themed books, games, and coloring pages. I am currently owned by two felines who sadly prefer I not add a third to our household, so although I was not in a position to adopt when I visited Purr Cup, I still enjoyed socializing with the cats. Understandably, they try to showcase adult cats who need a little more help getting noticed, as opposed to kittens who typically have no trouble finding forever homes. Anyone who has cats knows that you can't really make a cat do anything he or she doesn't want to, so the extent of play or snuggling you'll experience when you visit is really dependent upon the mood of each cat. When I visited, all six cats were either sleeping or hiding for most of the visit so my interaction with them was limited. I was able to get one of the cats to swat a wand toy for a bit, which was fun, and another cat let me sit beside her while she rested. Mostly I just allowed myself to feel calmed by their presence while I looked through the stack of books about cats and sipped on a lavender matcha drink that tasted a lot like Fruity Pebbles. While it was a little disappointing that I didn't actually get much time playing or cuddling with cats, it certainly wasn't a bad way to spend an hour. I'd gladly return!

Purr Cup is not just a cat cafe but a great local spot for coffee! I haven't gotten a chance to visit the cat room yet, but my husband and I have dropped in to get coffee and buy some cute toys for our cat. The baristas are always friendly, coffee is tasty, and the local goods they carry are awesome. Extra points for inclusivity and promoting LGBTQ+/social justice causes. We're not vegan but all the drinks we've had have still been great! Give this place a visit if you love cats and coffee!

I would say that the coffee is great and the atmosphere is very fun. The baristas are always super nice. I also rlly love the crafts and art they have inside. Most of all, I appreciate and love the cats that they help; you can tell everyone there really cares about the kitties. My only qualms are that they recently removed their mask mandate, which was rough because the size of the cafe is small and more than a few customers can make it cramped. Anyways I recommend but def where a mask.

Even if you are not looking to adopt a cat, Purr Cup Cafe is a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee, munch on a vegan treat, and play with the adorable cats! We stopped by on Christmas Eve since I wanted to bring my family while they were in town. We were greeted by the welcoming owners upon arrival. Since we were early, we ordered some hot beverages and vegan treats. We liked everything we ordered, especially the "sausage and cheddar" scones. There is only a bench inside for dining, so keep that in mind when planning a trip. There is seating available outdoors, but it was too cold for us to eat out there. We sat at the bench to enjoy our breakfast and look at the cat-themed items they have for sale. Soon our reservation time arrived and it was time to see the cats! We entered the cat room and one of the owners introduced all of the cats to us. I appreciated the additional information he provided regarding which cats liked to be picked up and which ones did not. It took a little time for the cats to warm up to us, but soon they were begging for pets and playing with toys. The cat area has ample room, couches, beds, and toys for the cats to play and nap. Plus there are areas in the room for the cats to escape to if they no longer want attention. Instructions are clearly provided online. Masks are required and provided if you forgot one. Walk-ins are welcome, but it gets busy so make a reservation beforehand if you want to spend time with the cats. Up to six people are allowed in the cat room at a time. Parties share the room or you can reserve the entire room for your party if desired. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and recommend this cafe to others!

    Treat time!

We finally made it to Purr Cup and it was such a great experience! Definitely make a "cat room" reservation in advance via the website. I really appreciate the safety measures this business is taking by requiring masks inside (apart from sipping drinks of course) and in the cat room -- AND I am grateful that the cat room is booked for private groups only (as of July 2021): It felt like a safe indoor experience to share with my daughter who cannot yet get her covid vaccine. The service and coffee here are on point! Delicious coffee and very helpful, friendly service. All vegan options here too, but I doubt anyone who is used to having animal products will be offended. There is also a good selection of knick-knacks (pins, coasters, art, etc.) to purchase -- most everything is cat themed. The cat room itself is very well maintained. It's clean and doesn't smell like a litter box, and there isn't cat fur everywhere either. There aren't tons of cats in the room, but more like 4-6 well-cared for kitties (all available for adoption or newly adopted after a meeting their special person at the cafe!). Lots of seating and even cat board games, books, and coloring books are available to use during the 1 hour reservation. Parking is available in their lot or there is a lot of street parking available too. I honestly wish we lived closer so I could swing by for just the coffee some days (and to admire the kitties through the window on the regular). We will definitely come back and visit again -- hopefully soon!

This place rules! The snacks and drinks are soo good, and the cats are so well loved and taken care of. The owners and employees are so lovely as well! I love the pins, art, and general vibe of the place, especially the pride section.

We have been to purr cup only a handful of times but each time the staff is welcoming and lovely. I love that there is a queer-friendly space that I can contribute to not only by purchasing food and drink but being able to spend time with some kitties! We have adopted two kitties from them, Tapioca and Draco. Purr Cup and Safe Haven for Cats are both amazing to work with and make the process very easy and stress free! overall: very slay and will continue to support this amazing business

The best darn cat café there ever was! All the fees from your fabulous opportunity to visit the beautiful kittens goes towards their care and toward the host rescue A Safe Haven! They make the most delicious coffees and serve the sweetest treats, all vegan! A colorful selection of merchandise is available to purchase, including a fabulous assortment of Pride items! ! I'm a big fan of lighter-roasted, funky, expressive coffees, and Black & White absolutely delivers. Their roasting style leans into vibrant, fruit-forward profiles, and they do it with confidence. The downtown Raleigh location is fantastic too. It's right in the middle of everything, making it a great stop for a date night, meeting up with friends, or just dropping in for a quick but exceptional cup. Their seasonal menu was small but mighty -- just a couple of options -- but the kind where every drink looks so good you wish they'd never rotate them off the menu. I started with the orange cardamom flat white, and it was perfect in every way. Beautifully presented and incredibly balanced. The espresso, milk, orange, and cardamom all complemented each other without any one flavor taking over. It was nuanced, aromatic, and just a joy to drink. For my second drink, I ordered a Rodrigo Sanchez pour-over, a co-fermented Colombian coffee labeled with passion fruit notes. It was everything I want from a pour-over -- bright, juicy, and expressive, with the kind of sweet stone fruit and berry notes that make light-roasted coffee so exciting. Black & White continues to prove why they're one of the most respected specialty roasters around. If you love adventurous coffee with huge flavor and careful execution, this place is an absolute must-visit.

The crispy shrimp were nice large shrimp and a spicy sauce with rice. I ended up using the rice with the crab claw sauce. And the dumplings were ok but I didn't eat many of them. They were my least favorite. I would come back to enjoy coffee and breakfast, but doubt I come back for dinner.

I tried oat milk for only the second time ever and i really liked it. The oat milk flat white has a stronger distinct coffee taste to me than a regular milk latte. The two baristas, owner and I had a lively discussion about oat milk in latte's. They clearly have a passion for coffee and have a thorough understanding of all aspects of making it. The cardamom honey cappucino was excellent. The service was quick, efficient and warm. I feel i have written a review before so not sure what happened to it. But Left Hook has become a regular stop for us this year. They have an excellent breakfast sandwich. They also offer baked goods from Yellow Dog bakery. They also roast their own beans and I recall trying them all. I ended up liking the Columbia Narino at the time which had a french roast boldness with chocolate notes. The ambiance is friendly and a neighborly inside the Gussies restaurant. The staff is warm and focused on quick friendly service with a focus on coffee expertise.

It's not the GOAT latte, but it's definitely one the few good coffee places I've had. The inside looks pretty cool as well. Overall I'd definitely comeback if I'm in the area.
