We ordered delivery from here this evening. There was a mixup with the delivery (some food we had asked he packaged separately due to allergy reasons wasn't packaged separately) but the restaurant went above and beyond to fix the problem. They prepared a new order for our son and then drove it over themselves! Besides the excellent service in terms of fixing the mistake, the food itself was all quite good. I loved the blue cheese potatoes and my wife was quite pleased with her lemon chicken. My son ate every bite of the new steak that was delivered. He also said the BBQ chips that he ate while waiting for his new order to arrive were very good. Mistakes happen and 101 Beer Kitchen went out of their way (literally) to make things right for us. This flavorful establishment changes their menu with each season. I get so excited when I look on their social media or hear from one of their upbeat bartenders all the teasers for their next delectable dishes or appetizers. This winter menu is one of my favorites. I love the comforting warm rich flavors in each individual dish the chefs makes. It makes me believe they put love in everything they create. My personal favorites; starting with the appetizers would have to be the poutine. If you don't know what poutine is you are missing out. This appetizer is with crispy golden fries, with melt-in-your-mouth fontina cheese and the most fall apart tasteful braised beef then topped with rich red wine gravy. I can't get enough of this. I order it pretty much every time I go in. For my entree I honestly can't choose one. If I have to choose it would have to be the Chicken Milanese. 101 Beer Kitchen doesn't always do a pasta. But, this insanely creamy dish is 100% incredible. This entree has a seasoned crispy chicken breast on the bottom then topped with Linguini pasta with the most supreme tomato cream sauce with spinach, broccolini and artichokes. In my opinion the broccolini could be left out. Other than that it's still my go-to. Last and certainly not least the dessert. Four words: PEANUT. BUTTER. OREO. PIE. Yes, please! This pie is like a childhood blast in the mouth. The crust is Oreos filled with smooth velvety peanut butter mousse and drizzled with chocolate sauce. They also put fresh peanuts on top. All and all. Up near Columbus for work and saw this place on Yelp had really great reviews. Also didn't hurt that they offered a free order of their housemade tater tots if you checked in on Yelp. We did just that and they didn't disappoint! Staff had good recommendations including a few evening specials. I went with one of the specials...bone-in pork chop with balsamic artichokes. This was the first 101 Beer Kitchen I had visited. I enjoyed the wings very much, and they left an impression on me to the point that I was really excited to see that one opened up in my neighborhood. I've had the burger and fries, the lobster roll, the pizza and the chicken wings. The burger is, by far, my favorite meal to get here. It's delicious, and I've had it cooked to perfection more times than not. The veggies are always fresh, and the fries that accompany the burger are still on point. The lobster roll is probably on par with the burger in my eyes here. The only issue is that they only have it available seasonally. The lobster is quite tender and really melts in your mouth. The combinations of flavors are delicious but not substantial. The toasted bun it comes on is just fantastic and adds another level of texture to it. The pizza, on the other hand, is quite underwhelming. The service here can be hit or miss at times. Overall it is pretty good. We love 101 Beer Kitchen. Of the dozen or so times eating here, each time has been great. Start your meal off with the wedge salad. I know that probably sounds like a boring recommendation. And anywhere else that might be the case. But not here. They make their own blue cheese. And it sets the tone for a salad that tastes far better than any salad you may expect. The seasonal menu is ever changing so it's hard to make a recommendation from there. But we've never been let down. All the food is wonderful. we had been talking about giving 101 Beer Kitchen a try for a while and the other night we were able to! they closed at 11, we got there at 10 so we were probably one of the last ones to be seated. though, that did not effect the service that we received. our server, Samantha was great! she was very attentive. she did not make us feel rushed and we felt like our experience was very good! on top of excellent service, the food was even better! we ordered the smoked wings as an appetizer. i ordered the crispy lemon chicken and my girlfriend got the tortilla crusted chicken sandwich. both dishes were very flavorful and great portions for the price. i had enough to take home :) which is always a plus! i normally am not a fan of smoked wings because i feel like they can taste a little burnt and dry, but these wings were AMAZING! very tasty and not dry at all! the crusted lemon chicken was perfectly crispy! the lemon herb sauce was great. overall a great experience and i would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!! read more

This is by far my new spot for brunch in Columbus! First of all, the atmosphere is fantastic. A nice rustic feel and look. Second is top notch service. From the moment we sat down at the bar we were taken care of be it drinks, small talk, knowledge of the beer menu and talking us through the food menu. How often have you asked a waiter's opinion and gotten wishy washy answers or the, "I don't really know" response? Not here. Our waiter took time to tell us about each item and get our input on what we were looking for. I ended up with an awesome local Gose beer and hands down the best Corn Beef Hash I've ever had! Both came highly recommended and for good reason. So third is obviously the food and beer selection. The Corn Beef Hash was plentiful with a perfect balance of flavors coming from the poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. I'll note that this was our waiter's second favorite item on the brunch menu behind the Low Country Benedict. My buddy ordered that and was equally blown away. So much so, we almost reordered each dish to swap! The beer selection was varied and I was able to find several I haven't tried before which is always a plus for me. The server was pleasant and excited about the menu, the patio seating was nice, the cocktail menu was interesting and extensive, and the food was out of the world. We started with two spicy bloody Mary's and loaded tater tots, and for our main course we split the al pastor sandwich and some black bean soup. Since we had such good food last time, we decided to order from here again and as my sister has two small children, figured it would be best to order to go. I am so tempted to give up on this place since they aren't consistent with the food that they give when the order is to go. The first time I was charged for a bowl and got the equivalent of a very tiny cup (even two of the small "cups" would have barely made a bowl) but I wouldn't have complained. The last time the salad was a good size so it didn't matter that the soup was so small. I made a point to specify bowl over the phone this time and had the person talking to me over the phone read the entire order. Bowl of soup? Check. Salad? Check. Got home and had the same sized soup (barely a cup) and the salad was even extremely skimpy for what you are paying for. I want to like this place and I really wish we had the means to sit down and eat there but I'm not sure it will ever happen and after this last experience, I'm not rushing back. The pierogis were interesting but I'm not sure I would order again. Overall, I could have had a second meal because it did not fill us up and it wasn't cheap either. While this strip center location is no showplace it hides a warm inviting open space with large windows that highlight the simple but tasteful decor. Keeping this review simple, a great menu with a wide selection of items that would please most tastes. Paired with dynamic team service makes this place earn it's 5th star from me. The Pretzel Crusted Chicken Sandwich was a full juicy breast that was ever so lightly breaded but still had that wonderful pretzel "crunch" to each bite on a nice roll of substance with smoked gouda cheese, petals of spinach, poblano mayo and tomato jam. From what I hear the owners originally wanted to open a brewery, and this is the near term plan while they work on the long term goal. I had the Apple buttered grilled cheese, and the Mac and cheese (with andouille sausage and blue cheese). A couple Ballast Point IPA's washed it all down. The vibe is great, they keep a bottle of lotion in the bathroom, the food is fantastic, jalapeno vodka makes for a top notch Bloody Mary.....I could go on and on. The staff is on point - and considerate. Today my daughter had her arms in her shirt - without us asking, they turned the air down and came over to tell us they noticed she was cold. Service is attentive - even the slightest delay in getting back to you, is acknowledged. Southern Eggs Benedict, Chicken Biscuits, 101 Burger and the giant Twinkie are among some of the satisfying (beyond satisfying) entrees we have tried. I've been to 101 Beer Kitchen a number of times over the past couple of years. It started as a lunch spot for me when I worked over on Sawmill but has more recently served as a place to meet others for some beer fueled productivity. Thus far I have had fantastic experiences with both their brew selection and the food. The food here is definitely a highlight. They feature pretty unique dishes and an ever changing menu. I've taken particular enjoyment in the Shrimp and Grits, The house burger, and the mac and cheese (both with the lobster and the andouille). The beer selection is also pretty nice. I tend to be a stout drinker which can be a limiter at a lot of establishments, however here I haven't had any trouble finding something to my liking. Overall 101 Beer Kitchen makes it onto my mental list of establishments I like for a meal and a brew. Since I don't live too far away I imagine I'll be back again and again. read more

When you factor in the price point, quality, robust flavor, and quantity I don't think there's a restaurant that can match up with 101 Beer Kitchen in C-bus. I give respect to a restaurant that can cut and fire up such a flavorful hanger steak without making the meat rubbery. Of course it's not going to be a Smith & Wollensky chop. However, it's about the price of carne asada at your local mexican restaurant, I would rather chow down for some steak here.
