All the negative customer service reviews do not surprise me. Drinks: I have a huge sweet tooth so I normally rotate between their coffee horchata, matchata, and cookie monster. Since Zero Degrees is a franchise, they follow a recipe which makes all the drinks consistent regardless of location. However, the boba at this location tastes like it's been left out a lot longer than the Frisco and Richardson location. Service: Like the majority of boba places; a bunch of high school/early college students who don't really care about the quality of their job performance, customers, or the accuracy of drinks. A worker was making my boyfriend's cookie monster and forgot to add the whipped cream on top, I asked if she could just swirl some on, she replied with "that's how it normally comes", I know damn well cookie monster comes with whipped cream WITHOUT request, but I played dumb btch with her and said I'll even pay for it, she replied with, "it's fine, but next time we'll have to charge you for it". read more

I ordered something to go, got it home and it was wrong, and then when I called them to let them know I wanted to come get it right, they argued with me om the phone for 5 minutes telling me it was my fault. Never an apology, never tried to make it right. I then told them that I would be willing to pay for the new item, I just wanted to have it ready when I got there to pick up because I was already running extremely late. She then told me that they could not take phone orders, despite the top of their Yelp page having a large call to action telling customers that they do indeed take phone orders, with a big button saying "Call to Place Order Now". While I used to frequent this location, I had not been back in a while, and now I absolutely will not be back again. Horrible experience that I do not wish upon anyone. Awesome drink stop. Very similar to Frisco location so definite quality control. Love the mango-rita with the mango twists. It's in a shopping strip so not a stand alone store. Lots of instagram post worthy items to take pictures- with a definite eye gauging price tag to go with it. Not the greatest place to go with a large group of friends, at most 2 or 4 people when they're busy. Their thai tea and boba are pretty great. Can't wait to try their food items. They close at 11:00 PM and I got there at 10:00 PM and they were already out of Boba. When I asked when they'd be making more, the worker told me it takes 1.5 hours to make so they weren't making any more. That was a little disappointing- so my take away is that they might make things in limited quantities and could easily run out if you get there too late. read more

Tea is amazing but I was given 75% ice compared to tea (I asked for light ice too) and almost no lychee (which I paid extra for). My boyfriend ended up pouring his out and just getting water because there was so much ice and so little tea. They also tried to charge me extra for the shrimp and fries combo until I caught it. I was in the mood to drink some sort of sweet drink. I've been to Zero Degrees in other towns with their fruit drinks but I never get to try on of those cute looking colorful mixed drinks. So I go in and tried to figure out the drink, then I saw the girl was picking up her order and it a purple drink with rainbow toppings, I had to try that. So I got the Ube milkshake then I decided to get some snack since it was late at night. So I got the Hot Cheeto Cheese Fries. The fries were okay to me, I love the thin size of the fries, the hot Cheetos were a nice heat to the cheese spread but it can get a little​ too heavy after eating a while. But if you're a cheese lover, you should definitely try it! The Uber shake was soo good. It was rich and creamy and just the right amount of sweetness. I would definitely order that again. read more

I first learned about Zero Degrees on Instagram. They are the ones who made the split cup popular. I was always admiring their colorful creations and was waiting for the day I'd visit California to try it. Luckily for me, this place blew up and now there are franchises opening left and right - woo hoo! From what I know, Zero Degrees is known for their split cups, mangonadas, and fries topped with crumbled hot cheetos. I got the mangonada which is a mango slushee mixed with chamoy, tajin and mango chunks - it's a great mix of sweet, spicy and sour. My boyfriend got a double cup with the cucumber limeade and sea salt green tea. The cucumber limeade is a nice beverage for a hot summer day -- light and refreshing. The sea salt green tea is decent, a little on the sweeter side. Unfortunately, you cannot adjust the sweetness levels -- an option that would be a game changer considering that most of their drinks are on the sweeter side. And the boba is okay -- texturally, it's on the softer side. Overall, Zero Degrees reminds me of Sonic with their bright and fun drink aesthetics, but boba style! read more

I tried the mangonada and it's watered down and doesn't taste as it should. Tried the elotes with hot Cheetos, crispy chicken wings, Cajun fries and nothing tasted good. The pink lychee and strawberry limeade were fairly good. They have mason jars and travel mugs for you to purchase. The shops are small so they tend to get over crowded. It's $6 & this smoothie is topped with chunks of unripened mango & the smoothie is mixed with a kind of spice that is tart, sweet & spicy! Who would have thought spicy would work in a drink?! They offer Mexican-Asian fusion drinks and snacks such as matchata (matcha horchata?) as well as more traditional drinks and snacks like mangonadas and elotes. You can add a mango twist to your drink for $1, which are slices of mango with chili arranged in an aesthetic Insta-worthy spiral. I was looking for a fruity, refreshing drink and ordered the lychee crush. My boyfriend ordered the strawberry bliss. Our drinks tasted nearly identical! It wasn't that the drinks were bad; I just felt it was too sweet for my taste and made me feel like they used a lot of syrup or artificial flavoring. Since it's not as traditional, they do not offer many toppings for drinks. They only have crystal boba (not sure what this is), coconut lychee, and sea salt cream. If you're into the mangonadas, hot cheetos elotes, and sweet fruit teas, this is the place for you! The milkshake was a little too sweet for my taste, but my boyfriend thought it was perfect. While the milkshake was really good, we both agreed that the ube taste was very faint, so don't get this drink expecting to be hit in the face with amazing flavor. The shop was cute and the staff were friendly. They also had complimentary water in the front, which was nice. I felt that for what we got, our drink was a tad pricey. While I enjoyed the fries more than the corn, I'd still urge you to try both. The corn was pretty dry and the hot Cheetos crumbs got soggy from the butter/mayo. On the other hand, 10/10 for the hot Cheetos fries, I will be back for those. The Thai milk tea was excellent, with perfectly cooked boba. The only drawbacks from coming here are prices and sizes. You do get what you pay for (in a good way), but they don't offer smaller drink sizes; you pay for a large basically. You really have to be sure you want a large of whatever drink you order, and want to make sure it's actually good when trying a new drink (very risky I know). What a cute little shop! Be prepared to wait, lines form quickly here. I got the Spicy Watermelon drink and it was everything I could've hoped for. Watermelon chunks with watermelon slush and tajin. It was summer in a cup. So gooood! And it tasted very natural, not too sweet. The Strawberry Bliss, however, was too much for me. For the volume of traffic this place experiences the staff are all extremely courteous, friendly, and efficient. Upon walking in someone immediately handed me a menu and offered help on recommendations and answering questions - seems insignificant but it really goes to show that they pay attention to delivering quality customer service. Aside from just the environment, however, the drinks are also super delicious and refreshing. Im not that big of a fan of fruity teas, but honestly the peach blossom here is so unique and not that sweet. The hint of lime and the texture of the chia seeds really heighten the flavor and texture of drink. However, my all time favorite would definitely have to be the sea salt green tea. Its not sickeningly sweet like many other green teas I've tried, and the foam they add on top is deliciously creamy and just slightly salty - it really does tie the whole drink together. Besides just their pretty unique tea flavor combinations, their signature drinks offer a new spin on mexican asian fusion as well. My favorite of the signatures would definitely have to be the ube milkshake. Let's just talk about the presentation - the drink comes with whipped cream and is topped off with a marshmallow rope (which i think is supposed to represent a rainbow) and sour candy and a toasted marshmallow (which btw they use a blowtorch to toast fresh). When paired with the bright purple of the drink it really is so cute. As for the taste, the milkshake is so creamy without it being too sweet - it tastes almost like a taro icecream!! Definitely will come back to try other stuffs on their menu :D I didnt know this place actually sold food so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that their menu offered popcorn chicken and fries - score! I ordered the salt and pepper popcorn chicken and it was delicious! However, its important to recognize that this is *taiwanese style DARK MEAT chicken* - i read a lot of reviews about how it had a "disgusting after taste" and stuff like that so i was hesitant to order it at first, but it ended up being super yummy and i dont regret my decision at all - I actually cant really taste any sort of after taste. I think people thought that just because the chicken they serve has a different style of preparation as opposed to the typical dry, processed, white meat chicken thats served at fast food joints or american restaurants. In the split cup I had the Machata green tea and Thai Tea. Both were EXCELLENT and tasted even better than the tea places back home. This place is defiantly worth trying out. Make sure you ask about their specials or what they recommend! Although we didn't eat food when we went, I have heard their food is pretty good as well! I've been seeing this place all over my insta feed, and now they finally opened a location close enough by me to try it! The aesthetic appeal of this place definitely lives up to the hype. They have the mason jars, cute glass bottles (old school milk bottles), and option for regular vs split cups. Drinks wise, they've got special flavors that they don't really carry elsewhere, which is why I was very excited to try it. I was able to try the strawberry horchata, matchata, lychee crush, watermelon slush, and strawberry crush. My favorite was definitely the strawberry horchata. I was slightly underwhelmed by the matchata, which I was really looking forward to - it unfortunately did not live up to the hype. Also in general, their teas/drinks seem pretty sweet, so if you don't like your drinks to be excessively sweet, highly recommend you ask them to cut back on the sugar. Boba/balls/tapioca is eh. It's not terrible, but definitely not the best I've had. Be aware, the very nice/cute aesthetic mason jars are an extra $3. I was pleasantly surprised by the short wait times, considering the constant flow and amount of people that were here for their grand opening with the BOGO promotion. As mentioned by many others, they were definitely prepared for a high influx of people, which really impressed me. However, the first night of their grand opening, I was pretty disappointed with their customer service. My cousin and I got 2 of their BOGO drinks (in the glass milk bottle). However, when placed side by side (prior to opening), there was a clear difference in the volume of the 2 drinks. When it was brought to a staff member's attention, all she said was "I'm sorry," and didn't do anything to resolve it. I understand that there were a lot of people in the store, but in my opinion, that should not affect their customer service. If anything, their customer service should be at their best during the grand opening. I can't imagine what their service will become if that's what it's like on day 1. To be fair, the girl at the cashier tried to be more helpful when she noticed my cousin leaving and tried to address it, but we had already been waiting for other drinks during that time and had to leave. Sorely disappointed in this, because honestly, "I'm sorry" does not change anything. I feel that places like this should definitely not have subpar service. This place is really nice. They just had their soft opening today, but were serving their full menu. I had seen the place in Instagram before going, so I was already excited about it as their marketing really good. It didn't disappoint. Realistically, the food was more of a 3.5 and the drink I ordered was a 5. However, service was a 5 and it was opening day so that's the reason for the rating. I ordered the Sriracha garlic sauce wing combo. The wings were good. Nothing overly exciting if you're just craving wings and not the drinks or ambience. They had a nice crisp and were normal drums and flats, not too big but not tiny. They were surprisingly sweet considering they were Sriracha wings. There was a very mild kick, but it was more of a sweet glaze (teriyaki maybe? But not salty). If you like spice, don't expect too much of it. But they aren't bad. They are sweet though so if you don't like sweet, maybe pick the garlic salt flavor. It came with fries, celery, carrots, and any signature drink. The Cajun fries were good. Skinny cut fries with very light seasoning. They weren't my favorite of all time, but they weren't bad. I ordered them with cheese sauce and that was pretty tasty, though similar to Taco Bell cheese sauce. If you like that one, you'll like this one. Although the meal is pricier than a normal wing meal, it came with a signature drink of my choice, with no upcharge. That was nice since it includes the "fancy" drink. The drink was the star. I ordered the ube milkshake, a flavor I've never tried before. It has a mild vanilla sugar flavor without being sickeningly sweet. It's nice. Topped with a toasty marshamallow, a rainbow marshmallow rope, and a sour candy strip. Really good and would recommend. They also had free lime/mint water which was a nice touch. It looks pretty and tastes fresh and clean. The place is cute, but if it gets popular I'm not sure they'll have enough seating room. It's a typical tea house sort of seating. Tables with chairs--no booths or couches. They have numerous options for teas, coffees, shakes and sundaes. The food menu is more simple, comprised of wings or popcorn chicken, elotes, and chicharrones. I'd recommend trying it at least for the drinks. I'm sure the food will continue getting better, as there was someone going around to tables asking for suggestions and feedback. They were all friendly and polite, smiling, despite the workers being young college students. This weekend is the grand opening and they are doing buy one get one on a lot of the tea drinks. Went to the Plano location only because we originally planned to go next door but that place doesn't open until later this month so we decided to finally give zero degrees a try. Place is cute and kept clean but small. Hubby got the famous mangonada and it was okay. Our son got the Cookie Monster milkshake and I got the UBE milkshake (menu doesn't say whipped cream on the UBE if I had known I would've said no whipped cream). Even though the menu says "milkshake" it's not. It's actually a slushee. Ice cream/milkshakes shouldn't have ice in it or a crunch. And people really need to stop trying to make UBE. This wasn't UBE zero degrees. I seriously was so disappointed and for the price, just not worth it. Makes for a pretty picture but that's it. One and done. read more

I tried their milk tea and their house coffee (with the option of having a split cup). Their boba was nice and chewy and the tea had a great flavor to it. Oh my goodness so good. I went in and there was a long line all the way to the door. I was worried that it would take forever to get through the line but it went by pretty fast! The boba was really delicious and the drinks were refreshing and unique. The flavors combine boba tea and has a definite Hispanic flare making truly an Asian fusion. This is such a unique concept and they really nailed it. The mangonada had chunks of mango in it with chili powder. The strawberry horchata was somehow milky and had a strong strawberry taste to it.
