Amazing place to study at! They're got a lot of drink selections but my favorite is the Classic pearl milk tea.

This place has steeply gone down hill last year. My family gave it a last try last weekend and got a variety of drinks but all of them had odd chemical tastes and the teas tasted like they are at least few days old teas that tasted really flat and quite unpleasant. When the old server Allen was there it was much better tea wise and friendly and now they servers are quite robotic and not friendly(not mean but just no place to be chummy anymore). I threw away my drink after a couple of sips and i gonna call it quits to this place. They really need to renovate and figure out why their teas taste the way they do. I always enjoy my visits to gong cha. I love the variety of menu options and the uniqueness of some of their drinks. My favorite drink by far here is the brown sugar creme brûlée milk tea. The creme brûlée is on point! Their milk foam series is also really good. The foam texture is very unique and definitely adds to your overall drink experience. I like this location in particular because the store is big and has a lot of seating... and now they offer games you can check out with an ID to enjoy with your friends. read more

I love the gong cha franchise. If you haven't been, give it a try. Spacious location and chill vibes ambiance. Service is self service via kiosk or front. I like the variety of drinks they offer! Their boba is a bit on the harder side which I don't personally like but overall pretty good. The drinks can be customized with sugar and ice levels so I do most of my drinks at 50% sweetness and less ice if possible just because I don't like my drinks too sweet! I had the Strawberry Matcha and I really liked the strawberry chunks at the bottom. Pretty decent matcha flavor throughout - not super strong - but I personally like the drink a lot. VIBES The vibes here are nice. There is plenty of bench seating, tables, and a little section that is further back which is great for studying or socializing. There are windows surrounding the front section of the store so nice bright lighting throughout. Very cute wooden look throughout and lots of figures behind the teas as well. SERVICE The people are nice. They are also quick to get your order done. No complaints on the service! Been coming to this location for ten years. Drink consistency was all over the place until Allen started working there. His enthusiasm and friendliness was only matched by the quality and consistency of the drinks he made. He might be slightly slower than the owners/managers, but he fills the time with friendly banter with the customers and lots of laughs. I see him trying hard to train others that get hired to help. The last few visits he has been gone and we've been served by Jack or another Asian lady. They're less friendly and all business - getting the drinks out quickly but with no passion. I've tried to engage Jack in conversation or even just to say thank you, but he has AirPods in and looks annoyed like we're interrupting him. I overheard Jack telling a friend that "he's faster than Allen and the other help, so it's better just for him to be there alone" to save on overhead. I guess that's fine, and from a business perspective I understand trying to keep overhead down, but Allen set this location apart from the other hundreds of boba shops in DFW. It's a shame to lose a good employee or to cut his hours so much that they lose passion for the job. Perhaps Allen has moved on to greener pastures by this point, but my family and I may move on too. read more

I love the drinks here! Every time I am craving a refreshing drink, Gong Cha does not disappoint. I particularly love their strawberry series and am obsessed with their strawberry milk tea with crystal boba and strawberry bits. I could literally down this in ten seconds. I also like the strawberry matcha flavor. Their fruit smoothies are also refreshing and delicious. Their most popular drink seems to be their dirty brown sugar milk tea which is also pretty good. I feel like my pix for this place are false advertising, because if you come here looking to meet girls in 8 inch Pleasers and fishnets, you possibly, maybe won't get lucky. This Gong Cha has some of the best service of any bubble tea shop I've ever been to anywhere in the country. You'd think it was a little family owned place - they are just so nice in here. For example on several occasions they have let me stay here way past closing without ever saying a word, while they clean up and close up. They mopped around me. They encouraged me to stay as long as I wanted. 20, 30 mins past closing - no problem. If your drink comes out sludgy, you're actually at "Gunk Cha." I'm happy that they will make the Oolong Brown Sugar Milk Tea (not on menu) for me. A lot of locations won't. And if the Triads come after you outside this place, you're in front of the wrong place - that's "Gang Cha." One time they even advised me that I should go next door and hang out with their friends at mango mango for an extra hour. The drinks are always made excellently especially the brown sugar milk tea and the Oolong and the ginger milk tea. The decor is lovely and the drinks are excellent and service is second to none. Easily my favorite gong cha location anywhere. And if you get shot while ordering Boba, maybe you should have fought a little harder for "Gun-control Cha." While I get my MT at KT I get my Milk Foam Green Teas at this place (I have yet to try their regular MT) I was coming home last night and was craving for MFGT hoping that it's still open, I was really surprised that they still serve until midnight. Gong Cha is pretty well-known outside of the US, and they've done branding correctly. I ordered the regular Milk Tea with Boba at this location, and it tasted good. Although a bit on the heavier side, it didn't make the drink any worse. Furthermore, it's less powdery than some of the other boba places nearby, which I personally enjoy. The drink is around the same price as any other boba place in the area, but the size of the drink is smaller. Overall, the drink itself is pretty good. The service at this location was good, and the people were nice. They have a rewards program; however, it's a bit difficult compared other boba shops. The only other complaint I have is that the door isn't labeled very well, which leads the occasional customer into the next door Mango Mango rather than Gong Cha. read more

This Gong Cha is the best Gong Cha in the area. I tried the one in Richardson and my tea tasted so much like sewage it made me never want to try another Gong Cha ever again. However, one night after 10pm I had a craving for milk tea and my usual go-tos were already closed so I decided to try this Plano location. I ordered the milk foam green tea under the mustache series and kept the ice and sweetness level standard. Really good green tea with the right amount of sweetness. The milk foam was also delicious. My only gripe is I wish the milk foam layer was a LITTLE bit thicker. The cups are pretty cute now too because they started using the tall, skinny cups. Would definitely come here again. It was not a good experience here at this location! First time here with family and friend. We stop by here to get something hot in the cold weather last week. Thought it was going to be something nice! We ordered 3 cups of hot coffee and the cups came in with the plastic seal on top ( like boba cups but in the hot cups with plastic seal on top! we decided to pull the plastic top off to let it cool faster but what we seen inside the cups was the melted of the plastic cup in the coffee! Yes you got it right!! the melted of plastic in my coffee!!! My friend from California kept raving about Gong Cha and how they serve the best milk tea. I was curious to know about this because she definitely goes to many places for milk tea, so I trust her judgement. Luckily I found a Gong Cha near my house! I went with the milk tea, of course. They offer different levels for sweetness and ice, which is something I really like at tea shops nowadays. With this, I asked for regular ice and 50% sweet. I asked for a regular but I guess the staff were feeling generous or they made a kind mistake in giving me a large. My drink was ready in about 2, 3 minutes. I ended up enjoying it a lot! It really is better than most milk teas I've had. The tea shop is clean, bright and modern. There are plenty of tables, and also board games to play with during your stay here. The staff here are also nice, friendly, and fast. The location is in a small strip mall along the Central Expressway, among other Asian restaurants.
