I wanted boba because, why not? This was actually quite a ways away from where I was staying. I was at the Sheraton near the airport. But I had to get my boba fix especially at a place like this where everything looked yummy! I get there and I'm that customer that always ask the employees what's the fan favorite. Then she tells me it's buy one get one. Omg, what do I do with all this boba? But of course I got it, hehe. I sat down to wait for my order. It's spacious, has many seats to sit down with friends or by yourself. A lot of students were here studying too on a Friday night. Finally got to try this place after hearing good things and I'm glad I did. Located in the nice little shopping center with Sweet Firefly and Pearl Cup, Feng Cha is a nice addition. I ordered the kiwi basil tea from their fruit tea options, not super cheap at $4 for a small but they use real fruit so I think it's worth it. I ordered 70% sugar and it was just about right if you don't like drinks that sweet. The fruit drink definitely had the more natural less sugared up feel so I think more health conscious people will appreciate. I'll probably try the grapefruit one next time :) There's a good variety of long tables for work or casual lounge seats to hangout and play games at. I came to study and was able to focus just fine, plus there was a power strip on the table so plugs are no issue. They also offer student discount so make sure you mention it if you're a student. And major props for offering *paper straws*, I was pleasantly surprised when asked. Feng Cha is worth the visit if you're tryna get away from the normal chains that are popping up everywhere. I guess the employees are not afraid of the odd Feng Chore. If you want to dance with the Stars, you can do the Feng Cha Cha. And if you write on their blackboard, use the Feng Chalk. We're big fans of the Feng Cha franchise. Barbie likes it a little more than I do, it might be her fave franchise after Tea Top. All locations have some of the friendliest service and best decor of the major chains. High-class, cozy, very feng shui, and reminds me of Tea House Formosa in Atlanta in some ways. Which you probably haven't been to so why did I name drop it just now #NameDrop #Why #Did-I. Actually I think that's exactly why they're called Feng Cha now that I think about it. Because their place looks very Feng Shui! And I wouldn't sit on the floor if I were you. Just plop yourself in a comfy Feng Chair. Or kill all the customers with a gun (all guns should be outlawed), and you'll get the Feng Electric Chair. The products are very good and one thing I really like about them is that they are willing to Taylor them to exactly what you want. Actually I meant to say Tailor, but my voice dictation apparently loves rich suburban princesses (but then so do I). And Calvin Harris, well he got Taylored in a way that he didn't want. So whereas some places refuse to put their brown sugar milk in the form of a milk tea, these guys do. And they'll add more and more brown sugar until it's exactly how you want it. Now that's what I call servicing a customer (which is what Barbie's clients all said). Granted, the most recent time they did not add nearly enough brown sugar to it, so I could hardly taste the brown sugar element - but it was still tasty, and they did a couple of re-dos for me which was appreciated, and appreci-9-ed too. And if you come in dressed like a Dallas Cowboys girl, fake tan and fake hair and fake body parts on show, then other than Barbie thinking you're a mirror and me asking you out, you'll be able to Feng Cheer. Barbie adores her fruit drinks from here as well. Real Lemons in the Lemon Black Tea. Less sweet than Sharetea, more real than Kung Fu Tea. Has a subtle and delicious flavour. Excellent. And if you spill the sticky teas all over you (or anything else sticky, for example if Barbie is here when you come in, so to speak), you'll need to Feng Shower. This Dallas location is definitely a little better than the one in Manhattan that I've tried - which I also really like. Both places have great service. However the third location I've been to - which also has great service - was massively below standards when it came to the products and that is sadly the one in my new sort-of temp-hometown of Houston Texas - specifically in the mall in Katy. Perhaps it's because it's in the mall that they can't meet the standards of this amazing location with plenty of varied seating and a beautiful cuddly bear on the way in. However the new Arlington location, according to the internet, has 2 bears. That's almost too much 2 bear. And if you desperately need a filling for your taco, I can whip out my Feng Chorizo. The girls working here are really nice and cute and they definitely are accommodating, able to fix things up however you want them. I am very disappointed in the service I've received here. We've waited over 15-20 minutes for two drinks. We were given the warning that one will take at least 5 minutes because they had to brew the tea still. We said it was fine. I use to go to this spot all the time as it was close by and it was good before. I don't know what happen to the quality and service. The boba was chewy but very bland tasting. No flavor like it wasn't fresh. The boba felt like it was over cooked and from yesterday. There was no organization to their service. There was a rush after us and they got their orders first. Orders were taken faster than orders made. Only one or two people making drinks. One person seemed like they needed guidance on how to make drinks. Cashier kept apologizing but our drink still wasn't made. The drink they said that would take long came out before my strawberry milk tea. It wasn't till I asked about my drink and they found the cup all messed up between order when it should be make. They need a better assembly line of making drinks. Very disappointed. I recommend going to the Carrollton location if you want Feng Cha. If that's too far, you're better off going to another boba shop. read more

Definitely one of my 2 favorite boba place in Dallas, and favorite boba place to study at! I tried the thai tea milk tea with boba for the first time last time and it's now my favorite drink. The tea flavor in their thai tea is V strong which I love, but can see how it might turn some people away especially if you're not accustomed to strong bitter tea flavor. The milk foam (comparable to tea top) is also v yummy and you can even double the amount of cream if you're obsessed like me! The customer service there is always superb. "The cheesy icing flows very well with the fluffy light sponge cake." This healthy nut mama loves the jasmine Apple green tea (gotta stay youthful!) with option to have no sugar and 50% ice. I haven't been to other franchises, so I have nothing for comparison... but I'm a fan of this one! It is a stellar manifestation of China-based Feng Cha's dedication to healthy and quality tea. You can't go wrong. The first step might be to decide if you want a milky tea or a fruity tea. If you have any idea what sort of tea you like (black vs green vs oolong, etc), that can help you narrow it down. Lastly, decide if you want any toppings (boba, jellies, etc). If it's your first time, I recommend trying a simple milk tea with boba. I usually prefer green tea since it has a little less caffeine, but black tea holds its own well with milk. The fruit teas are also pretty tasty. A couple of other boba shops in the area also do fruit teas... but Feng Cha's come with slices of fruit. (If you can't make it out to Feng Cha, MōMōCha and Fulll are similar.) A lot of places have also been offering variations of the foam cap (sea foam, cheese foam, etc), but Feng Cha is the first I've seen in the area to offer several flavors of foam cap. As with many other China/Taiwan-based chains, the default sweetness level here is not very much, and the flavors and fragrance of the tea is pretty prominent. If you have a huge sweet-tooth or you don't like your boba to taste like tea (what?), you've been warned! read more

I drove 30 minutes out of my way and sat thru traffic so I could try this place (I love cheese foam) Starting off by saying that I love bubble tea, I have experience working at a bubble tea mom&pop shop The regular boba was not very chewy and tasted a little hard on the inside, as if it was not very fresh. It was also not sweet and kind of tasteless. I got the rose oolong tea and the tea was ok, a little lacking in flavor considering I was expecting more of a Rose scent. Cheese foam was good, but outrageous that they charge $1.75 for a simple topping. Extremely overpriced. Other foam options go for +$1 or +$1.50 Also, in my opinion, overpriced. I got a SMALL sized tea with boba and foam and my total came out to over $5 The other other place that I've gotten bubble tea with the cheese foam was in NYC, where I got 2 of the same ordered drinks in LARGE sizes, and my total at the time was less than $10. So this place is definitely way too overpriced and definitely not worth the trip, unfortunately. ): Of course, as it is the only place in dallas I've come to that has had the cheese foam, perhaps that's why they are overpriced since they hold a monopoly? My family unfortunately had less than pleasant experience with the cafe this time when we were told rudely to have our 6 year old son to put his mask on by one of the young guy that works at the cafe. We were taken a surprise because he was very pleasant and so helpful just weeks ago when we were last there. I understand every business has a different rule about covid precautions but we do truly wish that it is expressed in a kind and polite way. Perhaps, he had personal reasons to be fearful about anyone not wearing masks. However, no one likes to feel disrespected, uncared for, when it comes to be asked to/requested to do something. Plus, it feels like it is invasion of privacy and harassment to "police" us when one of is not wearing a mask. Especially when my child has been suffering from allergies last few days and he had some breathing problem. The managers here are fantastic though, when I made a complaint on the phone and thru yelp msgs. They listened and tried their best to resolve the issue as quickly and professionally possible. You can order it over your choice of basic teas (tea seeped in water). The oreo milk foam changes that basic tea into a milk tea and puts cheese foam on top with some oreo crumbs. I love milk tea so this is the best of both worlds! Ginger Milk Tea: The bits of ginger in this drink are strong but that is what makes it good!!! Again, it is also amazing because I love milk teas. Lychee Jelly Topping: I throw this into every drink I order. If you are like me and not a fan of regular boba pearls, you should try this! It is sweet and chewy. Think popping boba but you can actually chew it. The one thing I haven't preferred so far is the matcha foam. It was not as sweet as I was hoping for. Finally got to stop by Feng Cha last night; I'd been hearing about it for the past couple of weeks from impressed friends, and was looking forward to trying it! The service here was impeccable. The lady who helped me out at the cash register offered to let me try all three different milk caps because it was my first time. All three tasted delicious, but I decided to go with the matcha milk cap with the lightly roasted oolong tea and boba. The oolong tea was delicious and lightly sweet, and went really well with the matcha milk cap and the boba, which was firm but chewy. Yesterday they were also selling egg tarts (regular, and with chocolate chips in them); I ordered eight and had to wait for them to make them fresh (!), but it was totally worth it. The egg tarts had a bit of caramelization on top, almost like creme brulee, and were delicious. Also, don't forget to check in on Yelp to get 10% off your order!
