I saw this place being advertised on my Instagram feed, and was immediately drawn in by the pictures they posted of their variety of drinks and foods. I've been wanting to give this place a try for the longest time! Now that there's a store closer to me, I couldn't help but finally see what it's all about! When I first walked in I was immediately greeted and offered a menu by the friendly staff. First looking at the menu I was a little overwhelmed by the many drinks they had. I was indecisive by the time it was my turn to order, but the cashier was kind enough to help and recommended me the "Mangonada". It's a mango slush drink with a hint of tajin and chamoy, topped with fresh mango chunks. It's their well known drink and most favorited by many customers. So of course I had to get the large Mangonada and an order of Hot Cheeto Cheese Fries.. because- treat yourself? The Mangonada was such a refreshing drink for a hot summer day. I already love eating mangos with tajin, and the Mangonada was just like a slush version except with a hint of chamoy. It was perfect. I was also recommended an additional choice of a mango twist and tamarin straw, which I unfortunately did not get but will definitely come back for. The Hot Cheeto Cheese Fries came in a larger size than I thought it would be. For the given price they definitely give you more than enough fries, I couldn't even finish it!Luckily the fries came with a lid and can be saved for later. My favorite part of the fries was definitely the Hot Cheeto dust they put on top. I noticed that they also had Hot Cheeto Elotes, which sounded very mouthwatering. I always see this tea spot whenever I go up/down the 75 freeway. What's funny is that I used to always see this place back when I lived in CA but never had a chance to try it. I finally gave it a chance after years of passing by it. COVID-19 restrictions were set in place, so there was no dine-in but also there was a plastic covering that surrounded the whole staff area, which I thought was good in keeping with sanitary standards during this time. As we had dim sum just before coming here, we decided to stick with fruit teas. As always, we couldn't decide what to get but aha! SPLIT CUPS? What a wonderful idea. My husband got Lychee Crush and Strawberry Bliss, while I also got the Lychee Crush and the Peach Black Iced Tea. This was a great option for those who want to try multiple flavors. I wish a lot of places had this option! I enjoyed the peach iced tea. The fruity teas, while fruity with chunks of fruit, were too sweet for me. I did ask if it was possible to lessen the sugar (like a lot of tea shops offer), but I was told the fruit teas are pre-made. Not a problem for me, because I ended up diluting the Lychee Crush tea at home and it was perfect, not to mention an unintentional larger portion! Overall, this was a cool spot to check out. Now the real question is, why don't more boba spots serve food. Food: Ordered the Hot Cheeto cheese fries. I was a little surprised to see they use shoestring fries but it worked. The combination was so strange and although my stomach didn't appreciate the concoction, I went for it and devoured the whole thing. No regrets. I only wish I didn't share and would've gotten my own.
