Danato took his time in explaining the entire process to me before starting the treatment, which included multiple cleansing washes accompanied by steam throughout. He finished the treatment off with a bouncy blowout. I have thick and coarse caucasian/asian hair, and he was incredibly patient and enthusiastic in creating the look that I wanted. It made me really excited for my appointment. When I arrived at the salon, there were plenty of bottles of hand sanitizer and everything was very clean. Everyone was wearing a mask and clients were spaced out when hair was being cut, washed, or styled. They are not doing blow dries at the time which was also reassuring to hear that they are taking this seriously. I was seated and Sandra came to talk about what we would do with my hair. She was so incredibly friendly and had a lot of ideas and expertise on what she though would look good. We talked a little bit while she was cutting, but I didn't feel pressured at all about having to talk if I didn't want to, which was really nice. When she was done, I payed and we chatted some more about styling techniques. And then I left....but our journey doesn't end there. When I got home, my hair was starting to really dry and I didn't really love it. It was a lot longer than I had wanted and the layers weren't falling like I anticipated. I debated for a long time about whether or not I should call, especially because there are some iffy reviews on here about customer service once the client had left. But after much debate, I decided to call back. The person on the phone was so nice and said that they would absolutely be able to make an adjustment and scheduled me again with Sandra for the next day. When I came in today for the adjustment, Sandra was so kind and understanding about it. She expressed the reasons why she didn't cut it short, but said that if it's what I really wanted, then it would look great and we should go ahead and do it. The second appointment took about 20 minutes and I left feeling so so good. I was not charged a second time. I will definitely be back to Salon Luna. The customer service was awesome and Sandra was so so nice. She honestly made the whole experience worth it.

Perms can take up to a couple hours so she also makes sure you keep up your stamina by offering you snacks and water/coffee. The service in general at this salon is pretty quick and efficient and thorough in terms of getting people in and out quickly.

Marina is a great hair and makeup artist! She did both my hair and makeup for my wedding on July 10, 2016 and before that we did a trial with her and balayage on my dirty blond hair. She is truly talented and creative. If you have an idea, she is always open to it and willing to brainstorm. Choosing a wedding hair/makeup stylist was one of the most challenging wedding planning tasks for me. On top of people being unresponsive, undeservedly expensive and some already booked, I also had a side cut and shoulder length hair. I wanted a timeless look that would cover up the absence of hair on my left side, and it was a big challenge. I had an unsuccessful trial with a different person that made me look older and boring. Then I contacted Marina. I was yet cautious to schedule a trial right away, because I wanted to talk trough all the details, challenges and my hair type first and Marina was flexible and kind enough to schedule a Skype consultation with me. The consultation left me hopeful and uplifted and we scheduled a trial. The trial with Marina was a blast. She is very communicative, personable and funny. We got to try 2 different hair looks and 3 makeup options and Marina was willing to experiment and step out of "traditional bridal makeup look". We agreed on a Hollywood glamour look and Marina found a gorgeous deep berry lip color for me. On my wedding day Marina and her assistant Terry were on time. They both did a great job both on my 3 bridesmaids and me. I received a lot of complements on my wedding day and after from people who saw pictures and my fiancé was stunned and speechless when he saw me during the first look. Furthermore, their work was tested by rain - it started to rain right before I walked the isle and rained through out the whole ceremony. Since I wore a veil, my hair mostly survived and I was especially impressed that my girls' and my makeup (airbrush) stayed completely unchanged after 30 min in the rain. I would definitely recommend Marina both for coloring and your wedding hair/makeup! PS You know how after some stylists your hair grow so fast you have to go back very soon and with others your haircut lasts long? I think Marina has a very light hand, because after she buzzed my side cut, I didn't have to refresh it almost for 4 weeks, although usually I have to refresh it every 2 weeks. read more

ZenaRose is a great salon in the heart of Beacon Hill. This place is gorgeous and stylish. The service is great. Online booking is super easy and convenient. Marina is an owner, hair stylist, artist and friend. She is awesome and very professional! She will make you feel welcomed and create friendly, relaxing atmosphere so you just need to relax and enjoy your experience at ZenaRose. Marina has been my hair stylist for about 3 years. And I would not trust my hair to anyone else but just her. It feels like she knows what you want either it comes to choosing hair color or your style or make up. I discovered ZenaRose after my longtime stylist/colorist, Andrae, recently joined this adorable salon. The neighborhood is so cute and quintessentially "Boston," and I love love love the Bohemian vibe! I have followed Andrae to several top notch salons over the years because he is the best of the best, and no one gives me or my hair more TLC than Andrae. Sitting in Andrae's chair is like hanging out with your best friend; he always makes you feel good about yourself, brings beauty and laughter into your day, listens to you and will always give you his honest opinion. DO NOT BOOK WITH STEPHANIE T. Was supposed to have airbrush/make up and hair styles today for a huge wedding event. Made the appointment about a week and half ago. Got to the salon and it was locked .. one stylist told me she had to go to a wedding and Stephanie (my stylist) would be right there.. half hour later she's still not there. I'm not sure what happened. But a call would have been nice. I drove 30+ minutes and paid 20$ for parking for nothing. I was also late for my arranged transportation for the wedding. Just yesterday was there what a beautiful and updated place they have. They are so welcoming and are always making sure we are comfortable in the salon. Front head of Salon- Caroline is awesome and knows how to be the life of the party! Estef, Brittany and the other women are so lovely. My hair came out wonderful and beautiful with lots of shine to it. They are careful and loving to all types and styles of hair. I had been going to a salon for a few years and getting tired of my hairdresser when my husband came home and told me about a new stylist that I "had to try". She is "an artist" he said. I figured out a way to try Marina without seeing my old stylist. That was 6 years ago. I trust Marina with my cut and color and basically enjoy sitting back and saying "whatever you think" We are now in the in between stage where I am enjoying letting the grey show and it still looks amazing. I called The Green Room and was able to get an appointment just in time. Jessica was absolutely amazing, she told me the price before the appointment and made sure I was fully aware before we went forward. During my appointment she went over what I wanted as well as what was achievable during the appointment. During the process she explained each step as she went along to make sure we were on the same page throughout the entire appointment. (She's truly a master at what she does) She recommended products to use after addressing concerns about my hair and went into detail about the benefits of each one. After I left the salon I ran to the store and bought what she had recommended and let's just say my hair has never felt/looked better ! Her salon is super cozy and the environment was like I was right at home! She's incredible at what she does. I've never left a salon feeling so happy. If I could give this salon and Jessica a thousand stars, I would! Thank you Jessica!

The staff at Cut-Splice are so welcoming, kind and amazing at COVID-safe practices - temperature checks, masks, etc. Bianca did an amazing job with my hair, which was in super rough shape after months of neglect during the pandemic. After my hair appointment, everyone said my hair color was the prettiest that they've ever seen it - and I've been dying my hair for half my life! I can't say enough good things about my experience. I will definitely be back again soon!
