Never heard of this place, but stop on our way through Springfield. I order a grilled salad, which was very good. My husband order the combination wings and chicken strips, which he also enjoyed. The only huge drawback was the temperature setting, which was freezing. Don't know if who's in charge, but it was very uncomfortable. The price was a little high compared to other fast food restaurants, but the quality maybe justified the price. I did like they posted the calorie count with each menu item. I tried the chicken finger sandwich meal today. My only complaint would be the wait in the Drive-Thru line. But granted they were slammed LOL. As for the food... It was amazing! Hope you don't want fried chicken. Half hour wait for buffalo wild wings crappy level run of the mill, over sauced chicken bites. No substitutions on meals but will always sell you more. We used to go to Zaxby's in Texas, so definitely wanted to try Springfield new location. We grabbed dinner through the drive through about 7:45 at night. The parking lot was pretty full, but the drive though only had 2 cars. Friendly staff and a wait time of 5 minutes to get our food. Chicken was great, moist and tender. Fried seasoned well. Horrible. Food has no flavor and place was dirty. The fries was so cheap and poor quality. The trash was falling out of can into floor.

Good food and you kind of get your moneys worth. Maybe after a few week they will learn what boneless is. Had to drop the rate since after problems, but food tasted good. read more

My 2nd favorite fast food place. The employees are friendly and the place always seems clean. Never have to wait long for food. Chicken is great quality, fries have tasty seasoning on them. They are definitely over priced, as it's high quality fast food, but you could eat at a restaurant for the same money. They are also stingy with the sauces. read more

Waited OVER 45 minutes yesterday evening for a carry-out order, only to get home and discover we were missing a side item and utensils. Only cost me $27.00!! To say the restaurant was chaotic is a huge understatement, and judging from the scowls on the faces of other customers waiting for their orders, I surely can't be the only person who was disappointed in this poor example of customer service. There were numerous orders filled and handed out to people after us, just to add insult to a bad situation. Stopped by on the way home in the drive thru line. It was about 7:45 when we pulled in, which is well beyond dinner rush time. The total time in line was around 45 minutes. Got to the window and they had our order wrong. Upon fixing the order total and refunding me $1.27, we left for home. Only to find..? You guessed it! An incorrect order once we got home. Food was well under par as well. My advice, skip it altogether. Not worth the money or the wait. We will not be returning. New, or not... I ordered the Cajun sandwich and the spicy mushrooms. Mushrooms were good but had no spice. The Cajun sandwich was a good chicken breast but was over salted and had minimal other seasonings. I went there one time hoping to compare their fried chicken to KFC, Popeye's, and my favorite grocery store fried chicken-Price Cutter's (delicious). In any case, you can't get traditional fried chicken at this fried chicken restaurant. The menu is basically bar-type food: chicken-tenders and wings. And perhaps even pricier. I ate my first Zaxby's meal when our pooch was at the U Missouri Companion Animal Hospital 3 years ago. I was pleased to see one open on Sunshine in the past year. We routinely order one of their chicken sandwiches and split it. We find the quality to be far superior to what you find at Chik's. We are converts and wonder how long it will be before others are, too. The prices are fair, the food is good, the wait staff pleasant, etc.. Try it! read more

Tonight, I decided to take my little sisters to get food at this place,my experience overall was the most worst experience I have ever had, the one in Arkansas is 10x better with great customer care this one in another hand was awful once I got to the window all the workers were surrounded in a circle speaking to each other, so was the managers, a boy at the window handed me my drink and didn't even have the slight decency to close my lid so my drink spilt all over me, my car and also my purse he walks away and I'm in shock holding my drink out, while I'm waiting on a worker to come to me well realize me while I was there, and since they were all speaking to each other in a circle in the front they had no care for me being there so, finally the assistant manager I believe saw me and told one of the girls to go and check up on me, she said sorry but the boy did not, after they handed me my food, I called to talk to manager and I told him about the whole situation and he goes "I'll make sure to tell them to close the lids", I'm sorry but that won't change anything. I will definitely be calling the corporate office and speak to them about this. read more

Went there This past Sunday & was not impressed at all-much better chicken places around. Got there after 2pm & they were out of chicken wings!! How can you not know how to order enough food after being open for 3 weeks?! I ordered a salad cuz there wasn't much choice-it was lettuce, tomatoes, blue cheese & chopped chicken fingers, nothing else. For $8 a salad I expected more. They were also out of tea at the time & only 1 of 2 coke dispensers were working-all they had to do was call Coke & they'd send a tech out to fix. Won't be back! We were so excited to try this place, but unfortunately we were disappointed with our meal. The service was great, the food came out quick and the restaurant was nice, but that's the only positive part of the experience. We both got chicken strip meals. The chicken was hot and all white meat but the breading was dark, chewy and totally bland. The fries weren't hot and covered in salt, and still yet had no flavor. Popeyes, chick fila or KFC strips are 100% better tasting with a better breading. Sorry, 2 stars is the most we can give read more

I love Zaxbys! I'm originally from NC and I was pumped when we got a location here. This is fast food so if you're looking for something healthy or some kind of fine dining.... this is not your place. As far as fast food though, I feel like the quality and customer service is far beyond other fast food places! The zaxby's sauce is great. I usually get their buffalo blue salad when I go. read more
