My family and I were getting together for a big family dinner on Friday night at my house . My Dad and my brother spent $125 on pork ribs, and shredded pork with buns and fries Etc. They take it to my home and my brother realizes that they forgot the buns for the pork sandwiches. This was a very big inconvenience to our dinner. My brother went back and kindly said they had forgotten to put in the buns (he had to drive 15 min there and back to get them). The person was very rude and unapologetic. He gave the buns back with a scowl on his face and acted like my brother was an inconvenience from their own mistake. Not apologizing is very poor customer service. First time for Zaxby's, anywhere. Their commercials are such fun! The counter girl was a delight. So friendly, helpful. I couldn't find anything I wanted, not realizing they are a wing/ finger joint. She had me order the JTL (? Just tomato and lettuce?) on a crispy breast w/ a little mayo on a grilled bun, off menu. Hubby ordered the Cajun Club, which it wasn't. He wanted the blackened chicken. It was not. Just grilled chicken. And nothing to shout about either, he said. I ate all of mine, it was fine. We both left wimpy fries. So, we have no reason to visit Zaxby's in the near future. I am giving Zaxby's 3 out of 5 and it has nothing to do with the service. I am noting that Shanie L. Gave Zaxby's a 2 and complained about service but she failed to account for the fact it was just opened. The reason Zaxby's for me receives a 3 out of 5 simply because the food is nothing special. The chicken fingers are bland and the fries and mushy. Everything tastes over salted yet not enough flavor. Sonic chicken fingers are every bit as good. So, they should've worked out the kinks by now. Never heard of this place, but stop on our way through Springfield. I order a grilled salad, which was very good. My husband order the combination wings and chicken strips, which he also enjoyed. The only huge drawback was the temperature setting, which was freezing. Don't know if who's in charge, but it was very uncomfortable. The price was a little high compared to other fast food restaurants, but the quality maybe justified the price. I did like they posted the calorie count with each menu item. It's beyond me how anyone can order most items, since most are over a thousand each. If I had the ability to give it 3.5 I would. read more
