I wasn't too happy when the family voted on 5 guys but it all turned out well. I do like I can get a wrap style hamburger very In and Out like although without the special in and out sauce and I also like the fries cut frat daily in peanut oil. My kids didn't remember how to break open and eat peanuts ( what sort of childhood are they having?) and we enjoyed eating the peanuts as we waited for our burgers. Prices with the economy are astounding at times. Four burgers, one fry and one drink was $50, I really hope prices return to a normal level at some point. Worst 5 guys I've ever been to...I've only been to the five guys in Southern California and they were good, but they have to compete with the best Burger Chain AkA the In & Out Burger. Competition breeds improvements. The Cheeseburgers do look impressive upon delivery, but I think the problem with this place is that even though I've requested Mayo and Ketchup and also on occasion Mustard every time I've ordered from here, they simply don't put enough on...so the burgers end up dry ... there is simply not enough sauce to make up for the dry non juicy burger themselves. I've closely examine the burger, I just don't see any mayo or ketchup or mustard whatsoever. Perhaps part of the problem is that I'm always ordering delivery and can't request extra mayo and ketchup in person to help counteract the dryness of these Burgers. I do see the potential for them be decent someday and the strawberry and chocolate shakes are great. However for me I've ordered from here for the last time. I gave this place 3 chances over the last 6 months. I'll be ordering a Dave's Double Cheeseburger instead in the future. read more

We've lived in California, Florida, had five guys in Tennessee and KC-- we've been frequenting this Five Guys since they opened this year. Red meat is going to be the death of me. I'm okay with that because it is my duty to sacrifice my health so that I can provide quality perspective on proprietors slinging juicy slices of bovine. Five Guys has been open for a few months now, and the 'new' still has not worn off. It's still really busy during lunch and dinner, and you can expect a line. That said, they really do a pretty good job of getting your order out quickly. Every order is made to order, so have a little patience. Getting a table is a table is a little more tricky. The menu is pretty basic. You can choose from burgers, hot dogs, and French fries. You can also get a grilled cheese or BLT sandwich, but basically this is the antithesis of Chik-fil-a...beef dominates the menu. The folks at 5 Guys will dress your burger however you want, as there are a lot of topping choices. A regular burger comes with 2 quarter pound patties. So if that may be too much for you, go with a Little Burger. The fries are fresh cut and and a regular order is enough to feed Western Africa. I prefer the Cajun seasoned fries. The burgers are very juicy, and have great flavor. I do enjoy their burgers, but I don't rave about them like I used to...and I don't really know why. Maybe, for me, the 'new' is starting to wear off. With all of that said, I am still a fan, and I still recommend them if you enjoy a quality burger. read more

I feel like the fries were a little overcooked and they didn't even ask if I wanted a drink, so I went parched through the whole meal. little cheeseburger was just warm, and bun was soggy - I am guessing from all the grease. I heard about how good the burgers are so today we stopped buy. The air outside smelled so good and I couldn't wait to get nice big juicy burger. After paying 29 some dollars, we waited. No peanuts offer(found out about peanuts just now online so couldn't ask). We each got double cheese, mine with bacon and extra mayo. One large and medium order of fries and drink. Burgers were dry and very small, cheese and bacon adequate. Buns, dry. Very little mayo, never mind the extra. Tomatoes half green. Thank goodness for the fries! But 9 dollars worth the fries? At least we got 1/2 a bag of fries! Right. Ridiculous. They are very good, in fact the best around but they should warn us about the amount. We would get I small order! It's a great chain. They give you free peanuts and they have one of those get your own soda machines with a variety of options. Hamburgers and hotdogs have a variety of unique toppings and their French fries are great - they are known for pouring French fries into the bag after giving you the amount you ordered / expected. read more

So this is possibly my 3rd time going to Five Guys Burgers. I wouldn't recommend going here unless you are willing to spend money. I spent 48 bucks and some change on 4 burgers, 1 medium peak green tea and 2 regular sized orders of cajun fries. The cups weren't just full of fries. There were a magical amount of fries spread out over and under the cups as well. The guy at the register was right. The cajun fries are everything. I love their bacon cheeseburgers. I got 1 for myself and 1 for my husband. Then I got 2 burgers with everything. These are a perfect cure for a hangover, which we will possibly have in the morning. Excellent Bacon Cheeseburger with amazing crisp fresh fries. Came into the battlefield mall location today and was greeted by a young woman that was more than happy to take our order. Not sure about all the people complaining about the prices... this is NOT a fast-food joint. No drive-thrus, fresh, grilled patties and free peanuts while you wait. It's a restaurant, peeps. $20 for two full adult meals is pretty cheap by that standard, and you can get any toppings for free. Or you could go spend $14 on two genuine fast-food meals at McDonalds. Your choice. The burgers here are fantastic and expect at least a 5 minute wait for your order if its small, which you would if you had ever cooked even one burger in your entire life before. If the line is long don't bother, and adding patties, multiple burgers or tons of toppings to your burger... snag some peanuts. I do wish they would bring food out to you, since waiting to hear your name called makes the wait feel longer. No wait they totally do this for people on slower days. Because the workers here are nice. I'm personally not a huge fan of their fries, regular or cajun, but they typically overfill the cup cartons so they are awesome for sharing. Been here many times now and have to say that Im a fan. I usually go for the little cheese burger as its very filling. Topping to order are always spot on and the amount of fries you get for a small is very good. Plus they are darn tasty. If you are looking to watch the waist line this might not be the place for you but if you want a good burger and fries this place is a great alternative to fast food burger boredom. Plus its really good for group since they let you just move the tables around as you like. Oh and free peanuts although you'll probably be stuffed by the meal alone. read more

The food was good, the burger was sort of tossed together but tasty. The fries are a home style thick potato cut that are not worthy of the craze but none the less adequate. There are a variety of drink options as well as burger toppings. The price is high, roughly $9 a head. The price is about the only thing worth a complaint, the food is satisfying, and the room is comfortable. The crowd seemed to cycle. Rather than a steady line of customers, it seemed to be rushes of about 10-15 people. If you see a line of people don't discourage, the staff is quick paced and you can catch the next rush. read more

This location is generally not that busy and pretty clean. If you're at the mall, you'd do much better stepping outside and going to five guys than hanging around the food court. No burger or fries in Springfield comes close. The only place that really competes nationally is Shake Shack, but in terms of a greasy burger I'd pick Five Guys on most days. read more

I've heard such good things about Five Guys. Sadly, this location does not live up to the reputation! The burgers are at best, par with just about any other burger joint. You hope and expect to get something different and unique. In my opinion, not the case. I will, however, praise their fries. Especially the Cajun fries. A great season, with a nice crunch. The restaurant is not as clean as it should be, for a fairly new location. If you're looking for a burger, I'd recommend one of the other many other selections located in the area. read more

So....going into this, I was prepared for one of the most expensive burgers I've ever had. Mentally, it's something you need to do when you hear you're about to experience a $15 burger. (when you tack on fries and a drink). As you walk in, you notice all of the accolades from newspapers, magazines and web aficionados that let you know that you're officially in burger heaven. There are also peanut boxes filled with peanuts that you can deshell and eat at your leisure....buy honestly, why eat peanuts when you're there for the burger. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger, fries and a drink. First order of business was the bacon cheeseburger-there are lots of options for your toppings. I chose to go simple for my first trip here (mustard, pickles and grilled mushrooms). This burger is amazing-the bun was fresh, the meat was hot and juicy, fresh and perfectly cooked. The cheese was melted in a way that made you wish it had 10 pieces of cheese on it and the taste radiating from this burger was indescribeable. The burger here is easily one of the best 3 burgers I've ever had the pleasure of devouring. The only disappointment as the bacon not being as big on flavor as the rest of the burger. I could've easily left the bacon off (and that's something you never say out loud if you're a carnivore). The fries.....boy, were they right about the cajun seasoning. I ordered a regular fry (which easily would've fed a medium sized family). Maybe they added the extra scoup because they noticed a bigger guy was ordering-but my hunch is that they fill your fry box and then dump some more in the bag to "everyone"....which, while you are stuffing yourself with the burger, it's not often to get fries that are almost as delicious. To boot....they have the Coke Freestyle machines. Okay, okay, it confuses folks that have never done it before, but it's the only place I've found Grape Sprite-which has quickly become my favorite flavor in the Coke Freestyle machine. Overall, this will be one of the best burgers you'll get your hands on in Springfield (or anywhere). I'll be frequenting Five Guys-pocket book willing. For a bacon cheese, fries and soft drink, it really was right at $15.
