We've been driving by since it opened and finally decided to go in and give it a try well I'm sorry we did. We walked in no one said anything I'm the one who spoke first, and that started things off wrong next we looked at the menu board and saw everything was separate no meals at all I wasn't in the mood to piece my meal together so that didn't make me happy either. My husband has me sit down and he finishes our order because he knows I'm getting frustrated with the whole situation, fast forward to him sitting down with me I look at our receipt, and almost 40.00$ later for two people insane if you ask me I'm still pissed about it. While we were sitting there looking around the room trying to see what changes they made when they took over the building from Hardies well all we could see were 3 or 4 stencils on the walls pretty sad when that's the only change you make. Then to top of our experience while we were there 3 of the managers called 1 of the employees out for a "chat" about being on her phone instead of helping on shift the night before, okay don't get me wrong if she needs to be spoken to speak to her but do you need to do it in a packed dining room and does it take 3 managers, not 1/1 anymore in a private office? DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!! OVERPRICED, OVERRATED, NOT WORTH THE HYPE!!

I really like Beef-A-Roo. I know it's a strange name, but the food is great. My wife and I both love the olive burger. There are so many choices. Salads, burgers, roast beef and more. One of my favorites is the mahi mahi sandwich on wheat bread. Sweet potato fries are another favorite and the cheese fries can't be beat. They also have fried cheese curds from Wisconsin. So many items you are bound to like many of them.

The very expansive menu board. Some specials are not even listed!

I really hate to be the first person to review and have it be a negative. They appear to be new and there are always struggles when starting out but they have several problems which need to be addressed to be successful. First - the smell. It is a former Hardee's building so who knows how old it is but the smell emanating from the restrooms, which are right next to the order counter, is incredibly off putting. If i hadn't been getting my order to go, I'd have walked out. Next - the fries. Absolutely awful. Very dry and crunchy but not burnt or overcooked. My best guess, from years in the industry, is that their fries have come in frozen, were thawed (accidentally?) and then refrozen. This causes water crystals to form inside the fries and gives them the consistency of cheese curls. Lastly the signature burger. A good size for the price but absolutely over-slathered in various condiments. One other comment is the size of their menu offering. Personally, I don't see how they could be known for anything special with so many things to cook. These run the gamut from burgers, to roast beef, chicken, turkey, vegetarian, pork, etc. Not to mention numerous salads, which was the one bright spot in our purchase. Take a look at the pictures of the menu board and you'll see what I mean. Also, they might want to consider offering a "value" package where an entree is paired with a side and a drink. Everything is a' la' carte.

The quality of the sandwiches, burgers, fries and onion rings were very good. Fast food service with a higher quality product.

It wasn't too busy, our waitress took us to a table. There were 5 of us. Menu was very simple and easy to read through. They have open kitchen, so you can see the cooks working it up in the kitchen. There are different variety of gyros and shrawma that they have. I usually order a either of it. So it's surprising to see more different one! I stick with the basic gyro and my daughter got the Philly cheese steak gyro and the beef shrawma dinner plates. We also order some appetizer and dessert. Food tastes very fresh and good. A must try spot.

We spent about $40 for two people and had table service, which was a nice touch. Our waitress was very friendly and had a great attitude, though it seemed like she might have been having an off night as there were a few small mistakes along the way. The food was good across the board -- nothing bad at all, just not especially memorable. The space itself is a plus: larger dining room, comfortable seating, and a nice place to sit and enjoy a meal. If you're comparing Mediterranean options in Springfield, I'd probably give the edge on food to Greek Belly, but Crave offers a more spacious and relaxed dine-in atmosphere. Overall, a good, reliable option -- especially if you value the setting as much as the food.

Enter The Grotto west coast food. Since I lived on the west coast for 40 years I thought it was appropriate that I come to judge the West coast authenticity. This place is awesome. My friend had a Baja bowl that looked and smelled divine and I had the steak Gorgonzola salad, the meat portion was huge and the candied pecans were delicious. I might even bring my super judgmental west coast rude family here since I think even they would be pleased at how delicious the food was. We sat in a comfy booth and loved every bite of our meal, the balsamic vinaigrette was the perfect complement to the savory steak and sweet pecans. I can't wait to go back to the grotto

Fiancé picked the burger and he was pleased with it, he said he would come back for it, so maybe just don't get the chicken sandwich. Everyone working at this spot was very nice and super friendly! The location itself was very clean and staff were going through table by table and cleaning everything (I was shocked because it was already very clean).

Unknowingly, I started "scrolling" to find a place to eat and was sucked in by pics of the food and ambiance! So I mapped directions to Cafe Cusco only to find it was next to another great restaurant I had been to during my last trip. Walked in and the hostess, with a welcoming greeting and smile directed my single person party to a four top. Turns out she ended up also being my server and bartender!!! Lilly was her name and she was on top of it all. I believe there was at least one other server. I shied away from apps as I was not sure about the serving sizes as I was not famished... I started with a Pisco Sour that Lilly recommended and she also recommended the Lomo Saltado for an entree. I chose to also have the Ginger Caipirinha. For dessert I had the Quinoa Pudding and a cup of coffee. Beverages were well balanced with lime tartness, great cinnamon presence and over all flavor was refreshing! The Lomo Saltado was very flavorful- def get your salt intake for the day, but it works so well! There was a house hot sauce at each table. I taste tested the hot sauce and decided to liberally add to the dish! A symphony of flavors! The slices of tomato in that Saltado sauce was ... mmmmmmmmm GOOD!! Naturally the tenderloin was packed with Saltado flavor too! I ordered up the Ginger Caipirinha (which did not disappoint either!). Both beverages stand on their own merits and I cannot choose which was better... maybe the sour?? So... then there was dessert... I cannot recall the last time I ordered dessert... quinoa pudding???? I mean... I like quinoa... but do I ever go out of my way to eat it?? No... but add some sweet coconut cream, cinnamon and... wait for it... Black cherry COMPOTE?!?????!!!! Damn! Am I glad I got that dessert! You MUST save room for this! Such a great amalgamation of flavor and textures! Cheers Cafe Cusco!! You've got a great gem here for great prices to boot! Lilly was very busy, what may have lacked in some attentiveness (due to how busy it was) she made up for in her awesome personality, pleasant disposition and great suggestions! Chillin' in haute Springfield?? Check this place out! Cheers!

There is no pride from top to bottom. The restaurant is a total wreck. The trash can by the soda machine stinks. It's clear no one has taking it out in a while. I gave a little slack thinking they may have had a lunch rush. I walked in and out 3 different times to whiteness zero customers in line and 4-5 employees standing at the register telling story's and drawing stuff on to go bags. Shift supervisor allows this when there was plenty clean in this dump. The blonde gal that made our pitiful burritos should find a new employer. I have never witnessed someone put together food with such a piss poor unmotivated attitude. She was literally doing a careless wrist fling, splatter a little food on the tortilla more on the counter roll it up and done! What a way to make an individual feel unimportant. I don't feel the need to elaborate on the finished product. More than 1/2 went into the stank full trash can while your employees told each other jokes. Poorly trained poorly managed. Taco Bell would've been better

My meal, two pieces of white meat, coleslaw, mash potatoes and Texas Toast for $9.95! The meal was so large I ended up bringing half of my chicken home. Husband had the pork tenderloin. It was double the size of most tenderloins in most restaurants. The condiments, Red Gold has been around from the 1940's, and family owned. Information on this U.S. business is some of the portion used from purchasing Red Gold products is given to support the hungry, disaster relief and the U.S. military. The restaurant looks like it use to be a bar with a pool table at one time. There is still the divider on the bar a section for the waitresses, large mirror behind the bar on the wall, the ceiling and the old beer light towards the back lead me to believe this. We were looking for a nice looking atmosphere restaurant. We were looking for a place with good food. The staff was friendly, prices were very reasonable. These days you can't find a restaurant with great, large down home cooking for two plus drinks for under$35. We will be back, maybe for the walleye special on Wednesday.
