Food was awesome but the waitress took my son's burger before he was done with it she didn't even ask if he was done.

We stopped at this little cafe on our way to Branson. It has a small, but adequate parking lot, and a decent sized dining area with tables and booths. You will find a television in the dining area. We were seated right away. The staff there was very friendly, nice, courteous and helpful. I really enjoyed them. The cafe runs daily specials, so be on the look out for them when you go, and they have a menu full of cafe favorites including burgers, steaks, pasta, chicken and sandwiches. They also have pies. I decided to get the smothered chicken (it usually comes baked, but I got mine fried), with a side of hand cut fries and brocalli. The littles got spaghetti. It took about 15 minutes to get our food and It was fresh and hot. I really liked the chicken and fries. The roll that came with my meal was delicious too. I was not a fan, however, of the broccoli, it was bland and plain and was missing something. My littles liked their spaghetti and it was a lot of food and had some huge meatballs. They had left overs that we ended up taking with us and they eat it later that night. This is a nice down home cafe with a laid back country feel. This place is so good, the food is great, the service is fantastic the staff is very friendly, they are clean inside and the restaurant it's self is very calm 100 percent recommended for anyone who is hungry just stopping by or just wanting a bite to eat it's not that expensive and very good food I tired the tenderloin and potato and corn the pork loin was very good and the potato was cooked just right if they messed up an order they will replace it! This place had come highly recommended to us. So maybe I need to give it a second chance. My first impression occurred when I used the restroom while we were waiting for a table. The three women's stalls all had issues from to lack of toilet paper to sticky flooring to unsightly filth. When I washed my hands, there was no paper towel to dry them. I spoke to the hostess to let her know that the women's bathroom needed attention. When we had been seated at a table, I noticed that the same lack of care was evident on the dirty, crumb-strewn dining room floor. Our meal, however, was good and hot. Our waitress was pleasant. After the meal, I went back to the restroom and saw that no attention had been provided. Pretty disappointing. read more

I told the server to put my wife and I on one ticket. instead she put us on the same ticket as the other couple we were with and then proceeded to contradict me. Even after the other couple confirmed what I said she never did correct the mistake. We just paid with cash and left. So this customer is firing the whole company by taking my business elsewhere. read more

Grillo's covers the basic diner items of breakfast, sandwiches, soups, entrees, and desserts. However, it also has a selection of Mexican and Italian dishes. Overall, the food was fine and the lunch selections offered especially good value for two filling meals. However, my breaded catfish tasted more of the coating due to the thin fish filets. One side, broccoli and cheese soup was cheesy good. The other, green beans, lacked seasoning. A chicken Caesar salad had a tad too much vinegar in the dressing. Service was terrific and on a Saturday morning there was a steady flow of diners. read more

We stopped at noon and had a great breakfast as they serve it all day. Breakfast is our favorite meal of the day, so we typically eat a good one and they did not disappoint! My husband had their Belgian Waffle Platter (4 thick slices of bacon, hash browns, 2 eggs, and the best Belgian waffle ever). I ordered the Country Omelette with ham, bell pepper, tomatoes, onion, and mushrooms generously sprinkled throughout, plus choice of hash browns, cottage fried potatoes, or fresh fruit. Then I could choose toast, pancakes, or biscuits & gravy. I chose fresh fruit and pancakes. The only thing I would not order again was the pancakes as they were OK just not super like the rest of the food. Next time I'll order a waffle!! Our waitress did an excellent job providing service. Their lunch items also looked good. We've marked this cafe on our return list to visit again as the food was good and pleasant place to dine. read more

This place is an American Mom and Pop style place and we were delighted. Food was good, I had Chicken breast, baked potatoe and green beans with a delicious huge bun. My hubs had a cheese omelet which was huge, asked for hash browns which he asked for well done and they were perfect. His biscuits and gravy were wonderful. Highly recommend. read more

My food was good. Omelette. Wife ordered a skillet with hash browns crispy. They came out out soggy and cold. No way the hash browns was on the grill for more than a minute. Still cold. Must be hard to read a ticket. In town working. Like said mine was fine. But seems like no one there knows how to cook hash browns. When my family and I travel, we often look for places to eat that seem busy and a place where locals go. Last minute, we decided to get off the highway and find a place to rest and eat. The parking lot was crowded (other places had empty parking lots). We stopped here for a quick bite to eat on the way to the Ozarks. This place was dirty. All I could think of while looking at the menu is, "what is safest to eat?" I ordered a ham and cheese croissant. It was disgusting. The croissant was burnt, the cheese was goopy, and the ham seemed old. The fries were extremely salty. My husband ordered a breakfast skillet and a pancake. He, too, was unable to eat much. I don't live in this area, but I would never stop here again. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. read more

My husband and I went there today before lunch. And service was slow. Getting our food was slow. Took forever getting things we asked for. My husband had an omelette I had chicken fettuccini Alfredo. My husbands was good other than the toast being hard. My dinner sucked. First of all was not cooked good. Suppose to be white the sauce was a dark color. Didn't get my bread with my meal and when I finally did it was not cooked well. Not sure how you can mess up toast. I ended up getting a to go box and taking it home to my dog. We use to like going there when they had good service and good food. Saw one waitress standing at a customers table talking for a good 10 min. So we will never go there again!! read more

Saturday morning 9:50 A.M- 11/25/2017 Hostess was super angry today. She looked at us displaying a twisted snarl as she forced the words from her mouth with disdain "how many?" We found our way to the table following her through the many twists and turns as if we were being led to the hangman's noose. She slung our menus across the table and left our lives much quicker than she appeared when we were waiting to be seated. (Seriously it was that bad) They brought my food and a portion of my wife's order. They told her that her French Toast had been lost. I couldn't help but daydream and wonder if pirates had hijacked the toast??? I mean how does it get "lost" exactly? Stopped in on our way home from a mini vacation in Springfield. Originally going to a fast food stop but couldn't wedge into the parking lot. Saw this place and glad I did. Prompt pleasant service and great food for a very affordable price. Our fast food breakfast would have cost us almost as much as our delicious breakfast here. Great value and plenty of choices. Recently I went to Grillo's cafe. This was my second experience there. On this trip my son and I ordered lunch. We were sat again the wall of windows near the back of the restaurant. As soon as we sat down we were greeted by our server. Right after she left my son noticed an ant on the wall. We initially thought - no big deal. The next thing I know there's an ant crawling on me. Soon after that we notice ants all over the walls. We immediately moved the table away from the wall to see if we could locate exactly where they were coming in at. No such luck- we couldn't find their trail. At this time our lunch order had just arrived! My son got up and approached the servers to let them know about this issue. Our server immediately comments "I thought I saw some earlier." Really?? Then why didn't you take care of it?? We were immediately moved to their banquet area since there was no where else to seat us. Shortly after I sat down in there I needed to use the restroom. As I left the banquet area I looked to my right and low and behold they had just seated 2 people right where we had been sitting! I thought - you've got to be kidding me! Ants all over that area and you immediately sit more people there? Sorry but that area should've been completely cleaned and sprayed down for bugs and not used! The restrooms in the restaurant are also so tired looking and makes one wonder when was the last time one of the owners had visited. The seats to the toilets are peeling and the bowls to the toilets are permanently discolored. It was dirty and nasty in there! I left the restroom and really took around this place. The floors were filthy and looked like no one had mopped them in weeks. The servers wore masks but they were all down around their necks! Even when our server approached us her mask was only on the ears and pulled down to her neck. The only person I saw wearing a mask correctly was a man who was cleaning tables off of the dirty dishes. Yuck! Needless to say I will NOT be back here anytime soon. If I could give a rating of zero - I would! read more

God food at reasonable prices, service is good. Older building however clean and comfortable. Highly recommend it.

Grillo's has everything you want in a local breakfast joint. My grandpa frequently visits and the waitresses all know him and his order. The staff is fantastic. They take really good care of you. I love the omelettes and the pancakes. I only come here when we are passing through for breakfast and they are our exclusive breakfast stop in the area. read more

The restaurant is a little dated but clean as others mention. The staff is friendly and quick with a smile. We ordered The Marshfield Big Breakfast and the Eggs Benedict. About the same as fast food on price, but the homemade food surpasses any fast food via quality & taste. Everything we have tried is delish, and the staff is so friendly.
