Went at 7pm on a Tuesday night. They were closed..... don't know why. They claim to be open until 10. Highly disappointed.

I was one of the first 100 people on opening day and have been back twice since then! They were friendly and even got to chat with the manager for a few minutes. Im originally from Georgia. So I'm familiar with everything Zaxby's! The menu items, the wait times (cook to order), and their bomb sweet tea! This is actually my 1st fave chicken spot. I won't name the 2nd place one here but they originated in Georgia and close on Sundays. On the bright side, Zaxbys is open every day! LoL. The food was fresh and I have no problem driving 40 minutes one way to get my Zax fix on the weekends! Everything reminded me of tge ones that I visited when I lived back home over a decade ago. Yes, they just opened and there are some things they probably have to work out, which is normal for a brand new restaurant. This is not a surprise. If you ever have time, patience, and a growling stomach all at once, def stop by here and get your chicken finger fix! The fries are bomb too! Ask them to cook them crispy and they will oblige as well! Also, if you don't want a drink w/your meal, they will remove it and take off a $1. You can also sub the coleslaw for extra fries or toast. They sent me a free snack meal for my birthday..so of course I had to go. Food is amazing and the sauces blow me away. I love the tongue torch. I also have to say the service was great. Plenty of clean seating and plenty of parking. Bathroom was also clean! Love this place! read more

Came here today from PA (2 hr drive) I am in love with Zaxbys. We waited about 15 minutes to order our food and waited just shy of 2 hours. They did inform us that it would be about an hour wait. The food was fresh and delicious as always. The staff was very friendly. A young lady walked around asking if anyone needed anything and I did ask her for Dr. Pepper since the machine was out of a lot of options. The staff was very apologetic about the wait time and seemed in good spirits. I would be lying if I said I didn't become frustrated after an hour and 30 minutes came and left.. It definitely seemed like the drive thru was priority and that's what bothered me a bit. In the end I left full and happy. I do think they need to come up with a better plan to effectively serve patrons accordingly and fairly.. Good Luck! read more

The customer service at this location is terrible. There was an issue with my order which caused me to call the establishment on Christmas Eve. A young man answered and was very sarcastic and rude. When I asked for his name he refused. I asked to speak with a manager and he refused also. He replied to me staying that he did not have to provide his name or the managers name. When asked again, He disconnected the call. When I called back a female answered the phone laughing. I asked for a manager and she informed me that she was one of the supervisors. She also refused to provide her or the Managers name. I asked her if she thought the behavior of the young man was acceptable and she responded " we don't have to give you our names and you're trying to get him in trouble for something he didn't do." She then told me that we are closed mad the manager said you can come by Saturday if you want to complain. She also disconnected the call. It's like someone left children to run this establishment. The scary part is that there most likely was a manager on duty and apparently they think it is okay to treat customers this way. We are in the middle of a pandemic. Be glad that customers are still coming and you all have jobs. I will not be returning to this location. I looked it up and it is a franchise. This is one of the best Zaxby's locations I've been to. Every time I've gone my meal has been reliably consistent. This location also has the best Texas toast out of any of the many Zaxby's I've been to. Just check to be sure you have all of your sauces before you pull away because sometimes they'll miss one. And when they say extra sauce is 25 cents they mean it. They'll happily run your credit card (and pay their fees) for a 25 cent sauce. Even so it's still a great Zaxby's. read more

OWNER/OPERATOR: This place has potential but massively fails on properly training the staff. They either have no food to serve and you wait 45 mins to 1 hour or you get chicken that's cold and has been sitting around all day. I have to say half of the staff is just uninterested in actually working and the other half have absolutely no idea how things operate but are trying to resolve issues but no idea where to start. They can't describe menu items, prices, correct toppings, etc. I hate to say it but I will take Chick-fil-A EVERYDAY over this place. They are always friendly, kind, prepared, organized, and they educate their employees!!!! Get it together. read more

I have tried this location twice now including tonight. We placed an on-line order which never produced a confirmation. I should have known that was the kiss of death. I went to pick up our order and surprise, they had no record. Our CC was hit for the full amount. The person at the window offered no solutions or apologies. What were we thinking, the food is just so so, why would the service be better. I will not visit this location or another Zaxby's again. Why would I, so many better options. Service is king except here. If only it were not Sunday, I would have never gone here. read more

This one is worth a hard pass. Salad plates were covered with greasy handprints. While lettuce was fresh there was an infinitesimal amount of chicken on the entree salad. Friends chicken sandwich was also tiny and came with exactly 6 limp crinkle fries. Spicy fried mushrooms were not spicy but limp with grease. My meal with lackluster salad, mushrooms and small drink came to a whopping $17 and change. Hardly worth it! read more

My first visit to a Zaxby's. I guess the barrage of advertising worked b/c I found myself hankering for a spicy chicken sandwich. The sandwich was good, but not mind-blowing. What WAS mind-blowing was the customer who lost his f-ing mind b/c his food was accidentally given to another customer. An honest mistake. The guy started going off on the cashier when the manager stepped in. He was professional but insistent that this customer had no right to be rude to the people working there. Hats off to this guy. This place is a joke. Not very many people in the restaurant. Waited close to 30 minutes for warm chicken and cold fries. Then placed an order to go. After waiting 30 minutes and then asking about the order was told food got moved and they would need to remake it. After observing the wait times and lack of effective management, I am betting this place is not going to make it unless the management staff is replaced with someone who will make the employees work. Won't be back. Can't wait for Popeyes to open. read more

Here to combat the insanely idiotic Yelp reviews. This is a solid FAST FOOD chain. I have been to this location multiple times and was extremely satisfied each time. It seems like this app has empowered regular people to believe they are an elite food critic.... LOL. This is a solid fast food spot if you want a chicken sandwich or tenders. I visited during the grand opening of this location. To say it was PACKED is an understatement. Even with the big crowds the staff was still attentive, friendly and welcoming to all their patrons. The location is very accessible right off of route 50 and plenty of parking available. The food.. well the food was amazing! It was my first time trying Zaxbys and was thrilled to see the variety of options. Plenty of sauces and dips to choose from. Overall great experience, will definitely go again! read more

2 stars for food, because who doesn't like zax sauce on chicken? But only 2 stars because service is horrible here. "Thank you" is not in their vocabulary. I always make sure to be polite when ordering drive through and use a friendly tone because it's not a face to face interaction; but they have a rude, unwelcoming demeanor. Even once you received your food- they're rude. Please work on customer service as people, including myself, will go somewhere else if we're treated like an inconvenience every time we pay to eat somewhere. Hopefully this improves read more

Standard chicken restaurant...nothing special aboit it. Kids seem to enjoy it but how good can fast food tenders really be.

Bring your patience. Chaotic. Staff needs training. The food was good but they need to get their act together. Only flavored water and iced tea available. No ice in the ice machine. I can understand the disclaimer that "stores are doing the best they can so please take that into account in your review. Covid is making this difficult for the stores AND consumer. Placing an online order should be easy as everything is written down and is without ambiguity. Only to get home a half hour away and the order is wrong. If the dining room was open it could be readily fixed. It wasn't crowded and no one in the drive through so can't blame it on being rushed either. read more

Had dinner at Zaxbys two nights ago and really enjoyed the food and service. Jasmine took the order with a smile and made sure the toppings for the Cobb salad were what I requested and did the same for the Zaxbys Club sandwich. We were both thoroughly satisfied with the quality, quantity and service. For a fast food restaurant, this is the best Cobb salad around ,not just the taste alone but quantity too. Will certainly be back here again when I get a hankering for a salad which won't be long. The restaurant is clean,our table was ready to sit at and the young folks are happy to serve. read more

I understand this is a new establishment but they need to quickly get it together because the location is giving The Zaxby brand a bad name. First the 50 minute wait inside and the food taste was lackluster at best. Fries were cold and way over salted. I did ask for a ranch sauce given my wait time and the cashier insisted I pay 25 cents but luckily the manager understood customer service and provided it. Fake Zaxby. I lived in Atlanta for two years and have had my fair share of Zaxbys (probably why I'm so fat). When I heard that a Zaxby was opening in VA, I was so ecstatic because I could finally get my hands on that delicious chicken after moving back to the DMV area. Alas, I could never convince my girlfriend to make the trek out there because she's not a Zaxby believer. Also, it's in South Riding and who the hell would want to go there? There's nothing out there. Fortunately, one faithful day we happened to be passing through the area and I managed to convince my girlfriend to get some Zaxbys. I was like a kid in a candy shop; so happy to finally be able to taste those amazing, golden, perfectly fried morsels of chicken again. I placed an online order through my phone in the parking lot cuz I ain't tryna' catch the 'rona and then raced into the store with a million thoughts rushing through my mind. Can this be? Is this really happening? Is it a dream? I can has Zaxbys? After a few painful minutes of waiting, I was finally presented my box of chicken fingers with Zax sauce and I scurried back to the car clutching my prize. "Come and get it" I exclaimed to my girlfriend as I popped opened the treasure box made of black styrofoam. What the hell is that $**t? was my first initial thought with my face full of disappoinment. Just looking at the color of the chicken fingers, I could tell that I was in for a bad ride. There was no way these were the same Zaxby chicken fingers that I've been munching down in Atlanta. Instead of golden brown chicken fingers, I was presented with an Trumpesque oompa loompa fake spray tan orangey abominable version of chicken fingers. Ok maybe it doesn't look quite right, but the taste should be good right? Regrettably, this was nothing like I ever had in Atlanta. It was worse. So bland and devoid of any flavor that even the almighty Zax sauce could not save. Sadly, even the Sheetz down the street can make better chicken fingers. I would know because I dumped the Zaxby box and ordered a 3 pc there and had a more enjoyable meal. Fake Zaxby indeed. read more

By far my favorite fast food restaurant and I am so happy they opened one closer to me! I wish people would understand that opening a few restaurant you are going to have some longer wait times so people should know that when they go. it's a shame people are posting bad reviews solely based on a new restaurants wait times for food when they cook the food to Order and trying to get the kinks all worked out. Food is great, but the drive through is pathetic and they mess orders up all the time. I've gone maybe 5x and 2 of the orders have been missing 50% of the food. Needless to say I will no longer be doing drive through and I would suggest everyone avoids it. read more

Zaxby's was a let down and a half. I used to live in the south, and have been to many Zaxby's. Actually, I got arrested at a Zaxby's in North Carolina in 2009, but that is besides the point. The Zaxby's in North Carolina had much better service (except for the police officers) and much better food than the one here. You can't expect much from a fast food joint, especially a chain, but there were just certain let-downs. The bread wasn't toasted enough, my chicken was a good tad overdone, etc. I'd come again in for a quick meal (and hopefully not another criminal charge) read more

Been waiting for a Zaxby's to open up in the area and glad the time finally came. A lot of the reviews were poor due to wait times but a group of us went for lunch and it was great.
