I wanted to try this place since I was craving salad (trying to be healthy..) and I'm so glad I did. It is amazing! I wasn't a fan of chopt and other salad places so I was hesitant but I'm glad I tried this place out. This is my new go to place. I called because I couldn't find them on DoorDash and one of the workers was so kind to help me out and send me a link herself. I ordered THE RANCHER. And wow. Doesn't taste nasty at all haha it's so good it can definitely pass as a happy good meal. I plan on trying their quinoa bowl next. Hope it's just as good. I tried this place for lunch. Not impressed with my salad. I ordered the Grain Silo. I selected the Quinoa as my grain. The server served me a spoonful of the grilled chicken after serving 4 spoonfuls of quinoa. Cheap on meat was my thought.I asked for a spoon. No spoons the personnel told me. How can you get the quinoa on a fork? That is like giving me a fork to eat powder. The owner needs to be on supply spoons. They have knives and forks. Go to Chopt instead Forrester salads. read more

The service was great. Everyone was so nice and kind. They walked you through everything so that you know what you were picking and you knew what you were getting in your salad. The restaurant was clean. It was nicely decorated, and I really like the open air and light concept of it, and the music was quiet enough that me and my coworkers could have a really good conversation and still have like light music in the background. Pick up was quick and simple. The Farmside has very familiar flavors but it was done well. Could've use more chicken though. The Mac was ok, nothing crazy. The drinks were very good. I believe we got Mango Apple and were happy with it. Most recent visit was around 9:30 unfortunately. Got another Farmside and the Farm Caesar, Avocado Toast, Grilled Cheese, and another handcrafted beverage. Despite the time, everything was ready within 20 min but the drinks were already gone so I settled for the sodas (still good). Farmside was as good as last time. My wife liked the Farm Caesar better. There have been a few iterations of fast casual restaurants at location. When I saw that Farmside Kitchen was opening up, I figured it was going to be a pizza and salad shop with the same menu. I was only half right. They no longer have the pizza, but now focus on the salads. I actually really like this because the salads are actually so much better now in my opinion. My husband always ordered the Kale & Quinoa salad before. He said it was the same, but now they add chicken. He said it was very good. I ordered The Rancher and I was very surprised at how much I LOVE it. Everything is seasoned well and so delicious. I actually want to go again because it blew my mind. I love going to Sweetgreen, but now we don't have to drive all the way to Chantilly or Fairfax because Farmside is just as good. Also, be sure to get their fountain juices. So good! We decided to try this place for the first time, but we won't be returning. While the restaurant appeared clean and inviting, the hospitality was extremely horrid. We ordered two bowls from the man behind the counter wearing glasses. I asked him to explain what options were available in a bowl, His thick accent made it very difficult to understand. He told me I could choose one protein, so I selected chicken. After checking out, I noticed we were charged an over $7 for the chicken. When I asked about it, he said it was because I ordered chicken despite having told me earlier that one protein was included. He then claimed he had explained there would be an extra charge for more than one protein, but I had only chosen chicken. I was confused and frustrated. To make matters worse, he threatened me by saying he had a camera, as if we were trying to get away with something. It felt insulting and disrespectful. The total for two salad bowls came to over $30, and his attitude toward us was rude and dismissive. I told him I was disappointed with how he treated us, and that we wouldn't be coming back. He smirked, shrugged, and said "whatever." Consider this your warning, this place may look nice, but the customer service is severely nasty and rude. read more
