The mixed up my order but fixed it promptly. The food was full of flavor, as I got it Mike's Way without tomatoes. The store was very clean. The only issue was the temperature. Probably the worst experience i have ever had there. And i don't go often. Yesterday my husband and I came in and I, being on crutches just stopped halfway in between the middle person behind the counter and the register to look at the menu. The lady at the register was very kind, greeted us and asked what sandwhiches we'll be having. Just as i was about to give my order, The lady in the middle, named Shakaya, rudely told me to go to the other end. Fine. Already put a bad taste in my mouth. While the guy at the end was preparing our meats, I watched Shakaya, put together an online order of sandwiches terribly, sloppily putting ingredients onto the sandwiches. You can already tell she had a problem. She grabbed mine and my husbands sandwiches and started putting stuff on it without asking. And i interrupted and asked my husband, is that what you wanted? Shakaya looked at me and realized her mistake. Then put someone else's top bun on mine without asking what i wanted. And i just said mayo and lettuce only please. Then she slid them down to the lady at the register. I hobbled over there. And saw that my husbands sandwich wasn't complete. And so i asked didn't you get a #9. He said yes. Then i said. Well it's missing bacon. Shakaya replied, oh you wanted a #9? I said. Mine is a #9 as well. How did you not know what sandwich were having??? Anyway, Halfway wrapped, she grabbed 2 pieces of bacon and shoved it into my sandwich. I now extremely pissed, said what the hell is your problem? She said, I'm not even gonna start with you. Wow. Shakaya in customer service and this is how she treats customers?? She then looked up at me and gave me the ugliest look like she was going to do something. I told her, I dare you to look at me that way again. Anyway, we continued on. I asked the lady at the register what her name was. And Shakaya freely gave me her name since she heard me, which is why I used it here from the beginning. None of the other workers said anything. I felt like they were used to her attitude. I didn't bother asking for a supervisor. If there was one, there is no way that person didn't hear us arguing. Great service but food isn't the same. I got my number #43 chipotle cheesesteak and it lack the taste showing that the quality of the meat is down. On top of that the amount of meat they put on was not its normal full size sandwich. Worse part I ordered a giant which looked like half a sub of meat. I recently visited this Jersey Mikes in Chantilly with high expectations, only to be met with a disappointing experience that left my taste buds in dismay. The sub I ordered was a far cry from the standards I would expect from other Jersey Mikes. Firstly, Other than plain mushrooms and some pepers there was nothing on this sub. No cheese, mayo, NOTHING. The bread was crumbling and dry. The roll was split in half and looked like was torn by godzilla. Either the roll fell apart or was torn, no knife was used the cut the sub in two pieces. I called the store and the person said that they made it and maybe the cheese melted away. I volunteered to send pictures but he wasn't comfortable receiving the proof of this sub. When I called was told I could talk with the area manager but I had to come in the store, no contact information would be given. This location is fairly solid in my experience as my experiences have all fell within the reasonable range. The pricing is fair and the service was on par. Jersey Mike Sub Shop located off Route 28 in Chantilly. The shop is pretty clean and the Staff are friendly and courteous. My family and I ordered off the menu (little to no deviations) and the food was prepared quickly. Pretty standard place. The only downside is the difficulty to get to the place. Route 28 signs tell you it is at the specific exit but after that you are on your own (make sure your GPS app has the address locked in). I didn't have my GPS locked in on the address and I trusted the blue highway signs. Thankfully "the Force" was on my side and I took the left turn at the first stop light (at the post office). The sub shop is in the same group of shops next to Moe's. If I weren't a big fan of Jersey Mike's, I wouldn't have gone through the trouble and may have ended up at another place down the street (as they had signs and directions marked on the road). read more

OH MY! Oh oh my. What wonder lays between the 2 halves of a crunchy sub roll. I took a bite of my #13 Original Italian and needed a personal moment. And then I started cursing every trip to my parents in NC where I passed a Jersey Mike's by instead of stopping. It must be fate that I was to tear into one of their subs with one opening 1/2 mile from the office. I've been looking forever for a decent italian sub since moving to DC and this baby did not disappoint. Stacked high with thin, sliced to order, Provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami and pepperoni, I was simply in heaven - topped with tomato slices, shredded lettuce, wafer thin red onion, oil, vinegar and a sprinkling of seasoning. The friendly staff is a sub-making machine and extremely efficient with one person slicing open the roll and then tossing the long cold cut logs on the slicer to shave off a layer of each ingredient before sliding the creation down to the next person for the fixins. My regular sub was easily enough for lunch, and dinner the next day, and exceptionally reasonably priced for the size and quality of ingredients. They offer 3 sizes: mini A great thing I noticed on the menu - if you're carb conscious or need to eat gluten free - you can get your sub in a tub and go bread free. No doubt I'll be exploring that option. Their website is great as well with full nutritional info as well as a food allergy/sensitivity page. I love that I can order my sandwich in advance and have it ready for me to pick-up. Going to be very handy for speed of light lunches as well as when picking up something on the way home. We really like Jersey Mike's, the food is always delicious! Food is fresh and made correctly. The customer service at this location is a little bizarre though. We've had experiences where everything was fine and normal, but other times, not so much. I went to order some subs at 7 30 one evening and the employee who was sweeping the floor rushed behind the counter to make the food, and basically rushed me out quickly. I even asked if they were getting ready to close, his answer was just "no." Have also had experiences where the employees just do NOT acknowledge people in line. Upon entering, I notice a worker sweeping the area. He stops, reaches for plastic gloves and ask me what would I like? I pause and say "I'd like for you to wash your hands before putting gloves on to prepare my sub." He seemed puzzled so I said food safety is important and you are transferring germs from the broom to gloves to sandwich. He washes his hands and I paused since it seemed that I interrupted his normal habit! People food safety is no joke!! Gloves are meant to protect the consumer not just your hands!! Jersey Mike's is hands down the best cold cut sub chain. I mean how can you not love it when they slice your meat and cheese right in front of you. And something about the way they slice it just makes my stomach happy. It's thin and the way it lays on the bread is just perfect. Then they top it on freshly baked bread and then add your choice of toppings......simply wonderful. In addition to the amazing taste of the sandwiches, the service was awesome. The 2 guys working were super friendly and we chatted sports which made me happy. They genuinely seemed to enjoy their job and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our experience grabbing lunch. Not sure what all the hype is about. We went here the other night based on recommendations. It was ok. There are plenty other sub shops that rank much higher on my list. I also found the staff to be inconsiderate to explaining how things work to first timers. We received a lot of huffs from the gentleman taking our order when we asked questions. I also found him condescending in his responses. The friendly cashier tried to make for it but also lacked food communication skills. I saw some long lines here awhile back and wanted to know what all the fuss was about, so I went in for lunch one day. I got a Philly Cheesesteak Wrap. Nice to see this is not one of those pre-made and microwave places. The steak was cooked to order. The wrap was gooood. If this place offered fries, I'd definitely be back more often. At last, I have finally had my first Jersey Mike's experience. My Jersey friends have raved about them for ages, and have shunned me for not trying them. The perfect storm of hunger, sub craving, and location finally struck, and last week I strolled in to grab dinner for the wife and myself. The truth is that I'm a recovering Italian Sub slut/snob/junkie. It's one of my favorite meals, but I'd cut them out while dieting over the past year. Every once in a while though, you just have to indulge. And the classic #13 Italian was worth every bit of the indulgence. It's not quite the best Italian sub I have had - I still prefer local Italian delis like A Deli in Manassas - but Jersey Mike's is VERY close. It's an excellent mix of Italian cold cuts and provolone cheese, and served with just the right amount of oil and vinegar. This is the real deal. I got the wife one of her favorites - a chicken parm - and she gave it her thumbs up. I ordered the GIANT for both of us and WOW, they are huge sandwiches. They're a tad on the pricy side - $11 for the GIANT Italian, $11.50 for the chicken Parm - but Ithe GIANT sub is a full 15 inches and packed with high quality ingredients. And their standard sub - 7.5 inches - is only $6, comparable to a good local deli. (If you're trying to compare them with Subway or Sheetz ... kindly go elsewhere and leave the grown-up subs to the adults please) Staff here was friendly and enthusiastic about their product. They know how good their subs are, and were happy to hear this was my first Jersey Mike's experience, offering up suggestions on their favorites. I'm from NJ and love hoagies. My husband introduced me to this place a couple of weeks ago and I think I'm in love with the Italian - Mike's way, of course. This location doesn't skimp on the lettuce and the guys were so friendly and fast! Who doesn't love efficiency and great service. My husband and I wondered if the tall friendly blonde was the owner. Everytime I come into Jersey Mikes in Chantilly, I am promptly greeted and with a smile. I step up to the counter to order and I'm greeted right away and always asked how my day is going? The staff is laid back which is a great thing. It very much reminds me of New Jersey because I am from Rhode Island originally and have been through Jersey many times. I went to Jersey Mike's for the first time, ever, today and I really doubt I'll ever go back. I ordered a Chicken Caesar wrap which should have come with lettuce, chicken, Parmesan cheese and a creamy Caesar dressing. Like most people, I have 30 minutes for lunch at work, so I didn't look at the wrap until I drove back to the office and got to my desk. The entire outside of the wrap was drenched in an oily vinegar and, sadly, that was just the start to the problems. After realizing there was no way I could pick up the wrap, or else end up coated with oil, I opened it up - and found: NO cheese, NO creamy dressing, and three pieces of chicken. What I did have was apparently a gallon of oily vinegar and what may have been their entire supply of shredded iceberg lettuce. I ordered a chicken Caesar wrap and I got some sort of weird, heavily oiled iceberg lettuce salad with three pieces of chicken (because the wrap itself was so saturated with oil there was no way to eat it). I had no time to go back and re-order and it was a reminder to check all food before heading back to the store. I completely understand that people/places mess up but to do such a bad job on my very first visit... I don't think I'll come here again - there's only so much iceberg lettuce one can eat in a lifetime. read more

Great steak and cheese, which is the only thing I've gotten from here. They pack on the tender pieces of steak and the sub itself is hugeeee. Service was a breeze with no problems. I came with my dad a couple months ago, late at night and we were the last people there and they didn't seem annoyed we were last, they were ready to help us...with a smile! Jersey Mike's is the quintessential NY, NJ sub place. I go because it reminds of the time I lived there. I love the Chantilly, location, have never had a bad experience. Tonight, I stopped on the way home from work (long story). When I walked in, an employee started taking my order, another employee said a man had been there first. After a little confusion, the man and I both gave our orders. I ordered a giant, and a regular, he ordered 3 giant, another man came in and ordered three giant, then, one more man, one more giant. I watched two guys make 8 subs (my regular was already done), in just a few minutes, remembering the differences in all orders (mine, Mike's way, one man had three with everything, extra mayo, one guy had Mike's way, no spice, the last guy, Mike's way).
