Close enough to quite a few attractions. Often get breakfast here. The Udvar Hazy Center and Sully Plantation are close by. Here both places have a lot of history. This is in a busy area of course. Plus note drive thru is usually efficient. That alone helps. Plus their coffee is tasty, strong, and decently priced. The pancake breakfast is nothing exciting but it works. Employees are friendly. This location is quite clean too. That makes it helpful for a quick stop and off to adventures. read more

I ordered a Large fry hoping to get a LARGE fry and received what looked to be less than a medium fry. After receiving bad service here 50% of the time, I decided to take the survey on the receipt. The receipt ink was so horrible that you couldn't even see all of the digits that you have to enter to submit a survey. I guess that's smart on their end because it prevents you from leaving your honest opinion. However, upon receiving my order, I looked and only saw one sandwich vs three. I told the lady at the window and she asked for my receipt. I gave it to her, then she asked for my bag and I gave her that. I saw her scolding someone which I didn't think was cool. Then she gave me my bag back. I should had triple check but left thinking she knows I'm missing TWO sandwiches since I verbally told her. When I got home there were only two sandwiches vs three. McDonald's run after midnight - anyone stooping to this level is desperate and vulnerable. So imagine you're in this dark place, you pull up to the speakerbox and the person on the other end says, "credit card machine is down so we're cash only, is that ok?" No, that is not ok. I am a sick man who has made a plethora of bad decisions today, and the road of sadness has brought me to this point... along with tons of others. That's when things go from bad to worse. You see, now not only am I unable to give the clown my hard earned money in exchange for food that will give me diarrhea, but I'm blocked in by a train of minivans and other such spawn wagons. So I was forced to sit in the drive-thru for 25 minutes, within eyesight of a perfectly good and functional Taco Bell, while gradually inching closer to death with each tick of the clock. Moral of the story: carry cash, or even better... don't go to McDonalds. PS: in the spirit of transparency, this happened nine years ago and I'm just now starting the healing process... writing this Yelp review is part of the catharsis, and maybe this McDonalds doesn't suck now. Employees having around with hats turned backwards when they are clocked off. And I saw an employee drop a cup on the floor and put it back in the stack. This McDonald's is adequate for both. The interior has been retrofitted with the easy to use electronic ordering board. Today my wife and I ate at this McDonald's and I order at the kiosk but didn't print out a ticket to take to the counter. So I waited in line to pay for my meals. Well I think I waited a good 10 minutes or more. Then when we got are order they where missing my coffee so I went back up and got it them my wife noticed that here sausage she order was missing so I went back up and waited another 5-10 minutes to get it. One they had to many people grabbing the order I saw about 5 people at the front but no one care to check on customers waiting at the pick up counter. read more

I used never to go to McDonald's, but since the face lift, I love it! The staff are great! I order a very simple meal, so I can't speak for the other yelpers but my meals always come out perfect. A simple burger with fries and a large coffee. An added bonus is that the coffee comes sugar free with plenty of sweetening options on the side. It's very clean and well kept, even the bathrooms are pretty decent. Again, it is McDonald's, but I'd say I'm totally won over. read more

Unfortunately, I come to this store often because it is conveniently located to my place of work. Sadly, I am the victim of messed up orders more often than not. When I say messed up, it is usually because they leave something on my sandwich that I've requested to be removed (mayo - gross!). It happens a lot. I never complained to them about it, I just dealt with it. However, today's screw up takes the cake. Desperately needing a breakfast meal, I disappear from work and head over to this McD's drive-thru. A simple number 2 with a large sweet tea. I start eating -- the Sausage McMuffin and hashbrows were lukewarm but otherwise fine. I go to take a sip of what should have been a delicious sweet tea only to gag my innards out at what hit my taste buds. A large plastic cup with a lid marked as "tea." It looked like tea, bubbled at the top like tea - but it was coffee. Disgusting, straight up, dank-tasting black coffee disguised as tea. I'm not a coffee drinker so the taste of coffee is repulsive to me. There was a hint of tea but quickly drowned out by the 85% coffee flavor. I was already back at work and didn't want to go back and sit in that long drive-thru line to get it replaced. You can't go inside because of COVID. Talking to anyone on the phone is nearly impossible unless the manager actually has the will to take a call and hopefully speak English. So here I sit, at work, with my lukewarm food and my 85% coffee / 15% tea concoction. I'm not sure how spaced out you have to be to fill a large McD's cup with a splash of tea and then move the cup to fill it the rest of the way with coffee. Are they trolling their customers? I do the drive-through here exclusively so can't speak for indoor service. The speed and accuracy of the drive-through orders varies ENORMOUSLY depending on who they've got at the cashier window and serving window. One day it might be fast and smooth and error-free and the very next day of the week at roughly the same time of day you might sit behind 20 cars backed-up into the street. You just never know. There was a stretch of about a whole month this summer when the wait at 3:15 p.m. was so long I got exasperated and just pulled out of line and went elsewhere. Wish I could give zero stars. I always come here after we go to the rec center. They dont have trash cans in the drive thru so I usually have to pour out my old drinks to put the trash on the floorboards of my vehicle. I don't want to liter and I need cupholders for the meals I am ordering. The drive thru guy said to me when I pulled up that I would be responsible for the $2,000 fine they would get because I poured my drink out. What!? Then he slides the tinted door in my face. Did you spit in my stuff? So when he opened it I asked how would me pouring liquid out cause them to get fines. He said it's against the law. What?! So he closed the door again. Makes me nervous I can't see what he did with my food. He opened the door again and I tried to get his name but he mumbled it.. gave me cold food and closed the window again. Background: I am a former McDonald's employee and shift manager, and worked there for parts of five years growing up. I regularly visit this McDonald's, which is in an area near a convention center and a new Wal-Mart, and is one of seven eating establishments in a 2-3 block area. They all practically share the same parking lot. It seems constantly busy. Their drive-thru service is really outstanding. They have two ordering stations and two windows, and they consistently send you on your way in 90 seconds or less. It's a little longer at lunch time (due to the long lines), but once you get to the ordering station it moves pretty quickly. The order takers really do "smile with their voices" and make you feel at home. They will often ask me "Is the order on the screen correct?", which is a small thing but it reinforces the idea that they want to get it right. Also, there is one lady who is at the second window, and she is fantastic--friendly, efficient, and has a good memory for regular customers. At the window inside it's definitely a lot less speedy, and based on what I've seen this is where they hide their less motivated folks. Either way, I haven't had an order messed up in the 4+ years I have been going there and that's saying a lot. read more

I typically only come to this location and they have never failed me but tonight I'm quite disappointed with the service I got. We had made our order and the lady serving us didn't ask if we wanted anything else she didn't even say the total said second window. We tried to get her attention to complete our order and decided to take what she had. The ladies name was sidel. I believe this lady is a manager she did say hi but she really seemed pissed off for some reason. We had ordered every sauce and she only gave me barbecue and sweet and sour I don't know what part of that she didn't understand you could've said no and asked me for 3 or 4 kinds. I asked her again for every sauce she said what kind and I said buffalo ranch signature Mac sauce. She only gave me buffalo. I'm really disappointed.
