I do my best to not leave negative reviews because I believe everyone has bad days. However, this was just disgusting. My wife ordered me a buffalo chicken sandwich and fries. First, the fries taste like they were sitting out for at least an hour. Second, the sandwich came with buffalo on the side with literally one piece of an onion and two jalapeños. it was also cold (delivered very fast so I don't get that). I think the quality of the burger is great and the vegetables are fresh and the decor is absolutely amazing! The onion ring and the fries are great! I think if the price was just a few dollars less at the $10-$12... it would be more competitive. It's just going to be tough to get a burger, fries and drink for $18-$22 range. I think if the bun wasn't smashed and had more gluten and didn't break down as you were eating... that would also be very helpful. I know it's a franchise, so maybe feedback to the corporate office would be helpful. My heart goes out to the owners and I know the burger sector is so tough... OMG - terrible burgers and be prepared to bring an interpreter. I can only ask so many times excuse me I can not understand what you're asking. Understaffed with one person in the kitchen and one doing the register and serving.... Although they meant well and were very courteous, I just can't seem them making it. Ambiance - we were there at 11:30am and the place was already dirty, or perhaps not cleaned the night before. Tables were in disarray and every other table had crumbs on them. Napkin dispensers were also empty on every other table. There was a caution cone on the floor by the bar seating area alerting you to the floor mats or carpets that were thrown there in front of two 2 top tables. Very unappealing for in store diners. The staff had no energy and there was little energy spent on greeting any customers. Service - at 11:30am there were 3 seated tables, including our own. While I understand there are on-line orders, we shouldn't have to wait 20 minutes ++ for the equivalent of "fast" food. If the restaurant had actually been busy the 3 man staff would be in big trouble. One person was trying to run the entire front of house. Food - my wife and I each had a single burger thinking a double would be too much food. I guess we were wrong because it was like eating a bun-burger vs. a hamburger. The flavor was lackluster at best. We tried fries (limp and just ok), but better than the cold onion rings, and the extremely greasy and stuck together fried pickles that we ordered. Still can't figure out after waiting 25 minutes how all our food was lukewarm at best? Both of our Diet Cokes tasted like they had no syrup and there was definitely no carbonation. Basically our cookie shake was the best thing. I have no problem paying for and waiting for good food, if it is actually good. If this is a franchise, the franchisee needs to get in there and run the store. I didn't know this location had opened and closed, and reopened multiple times. When it did arrive our order was messed up and I don't think we got everything we ordered. But at that point it wasn't worth going back to the counter. My son had the kids cheeseburger with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and BBQ. He ate the whole thing in about 5 minutes. He was a huge fan. My daughter had the chicken tenders and gobbles those up too- she can be picky, but loves these. My burger had lettuce, onions, pickles, Mayo, and Chipotle Mayo. It was really good. The other patrons in the establishment expressed their disdain as well. But to make everything worse, a man and female walked into the business and walked directly behind the counter. They were in business attire, they looked like they could be franchisees, or maybe the owner of the restaurant. When myself and others wanted to speak to a supervisor about the wait time, we were left speaking to what looked like a high school who was obviously not trained to deal with our issues, as the owner hid in the back from our criticism. Let me start by saying that their patty size is 3.2oz...so in terms of 16 oz to 1lb, that's a 1/5lb patty. For reference, this is the same size as a dollar menu burger from McDonalds, except at Wayback this will set you *way* *back* $7. To have a respectable burger, you'll have to cough up an extra $2 to bring this up to 2/5 lb...$9 for not even 1/4lb. I only came because the line at Burger Shack was too long, but boy do I regret it. I wish a Fosters would open instead of Wayback. Granted, I ordered with UBER eats. Looks like it was delivered pretty fast, according to the pick up time, but the only thing edible was the burger. I'm less than 5 minutes from them across Rt 50. Ordered- crispy chicken sandwich, craft your own double, pickle chips, onion rings and got free fries for an over $30 order on Uber. Pickle chips had ranch dressing on them already (not on the side) so they were soggy and cold when they arrived. Onion rings were cold and tasted like they had been cooked in old grease and they all stuck together. French fries were the same, cold soggy and lots of grease- and they say salted, there was not a hint of salt on them- they went straight into the trash. The crispy chicken sandwich was very greasy also- I'm not sure if they cook everything in the same oil, but it sure tastes like it. The burger was the saving grace- although, just barely warm, it was a nice size so we split and just threw away the chicken sandwich. I will try in person one time, to see if that makes a difference. These are some burgers, a bit over the top with the cheese but overall great ingredient quality and a nice balance between greasy and lean and not heavy on the salt either. Great prices too, competitive for the area given that there's a whole bunch of options for good burgers. The only reason why I'm not giving it a 5-star is because they don't offer lettuce wrap, and I feel like in this day and age you have to. About the place itself, I always got carry-out so I didn't really spend anytime inside but it seems clean and well kept. Staff is nice and they work fast. Where do I start? Lol. This place is located in a shopping center full of eclectic food. Stopped here on a recommendation from a bestie. I had a crispy chicken sandwich (craft your own). Basically a big easy burger substitute crispy chicken with a side of o'fries ( fries and onion rings). My bestie had the same minus the bacon sub grilled chicken w/ tater tots. I wanted to LOVE this chicken sandwich/burger but UNFORTUNATELY, fell by the wayside. My crispy chicken was crispy and juicy and the bacon was tasty not crispy as I would like. It lacked some bold flavors that were only available in the sauce that was part of the sandwich. It wasn't terrible but not the best. O'FRIES were really good , simplistic and tasty. OVERALL, This place is a 3-3.5 at best! I will return to try an actual beef burger do I can be fair in my review. I ate here one time and that was my last for the Chantilly location. I alway get my burgers well done at the Ashburn store and when I went to this location they said they don't do well done burgers. I initially pulled out a $5 bill to tip but when they told me that I put it back in my pocket. The food was good until I got in the middle of my burger and it was red. I don't know if it was just the employees making that up or if it's the policy that they can't cook well done burgers. The one in Ashburn cooks them well done for me so why couldn't Chantilly do the same? They have way too many burger spots in NOVA to not cook a burger well done for a reoccurring customer.
