The service was not great either, albeit they were quite busy. I was disappointed by how the bun was not toasted like it normally is. If I'm honest, Five Guys is a guilty pleasure that I rarely indulge in. However, whenever I do, it's this Chantilly Crossing location that I visit! As noted in my previous review, a visit to other locations will yield mixed results. Yet tonight, as I watched the manager, Sean, coordinate activities with his crew, I couldn't help but reflect that this location runs like a well-oiled machine. The burger has always been descent. Fries are always delicious. Problem is the price. You can buy better, but I don't think you can pay more. About $20 for a burger fries and a coke. You can go into almost any venue an do better on cost for what you get. It's just overpriced and that's what gets 2 stars. Ok so this is probably terrible to say... But I have never actually paid at Five Guys. Normally Matt brings it home. He use to work with them for a few years and fell in love with the burgers. I stopped by on lunch cause I had cravings for something greasy and fatty and sweet. I was not feeling well and had not been holding things down for a couple days. I ordered a cheese burger, milkshake (banana and chocolate) and a small fries. The bill was $18.06! For a LUNCH order! That is ridiculous! The burger was good and way to filling. I had to call Matt and ask why it was so BIG compared to what he brings home... Apparently we normally get the lil. So I could only finish 1/3 of it. Also the Fries are soo many. No wonder they are almost $3. I wish they still had a even smaller size! I throw out over half of the small order (cause normal Matt gets us a small to share and I'm not normally a big fan of fries). The shake was good. That was prob my favorite part. I needed that yummy shake as a pick me up! I think it's important to note that the workers were very friendly and the location looked very clean. They were filling so many orders it was amazing to see how they separated each order thru the glass window and personalized all the toppings. Def some talent going on in this shop! Counter service is pretty straightforward and friendly. The space age touch screen soda dispenser can be intimidating but just ask for help if you can't find what you want. Initially I thought there was a new store but that wasn't the case. After backtracking to the actual location, I followed the directions for curbside delivery. This is the place that broke me in on my first visit ever to a Five Guys. My boss brought me here for lunch one day and I thought I was in burger heaven, and peanuts and those abundant delicious fries that just tightened my belt right up. Loved this location since it opened, and so we've tried supporting them during the pandemic. Initially they were very good, but the past three times I've been there (over the past two months), it's been awful. The same guy working the griddle has his mask hanging below his nose and it now takes roughly half an hour on average to get your food, even if you call ahead. And with the music playing and the fans going full blast, it's impossible for anyone to hear when their order is ready - leading to a lot of confused shuffling around of customers by the pick-up counter. When I am in the mood for a burger, five guys is my first option. The service is quick and easy. They've never gotten my order wrong either which is surprising for everything that I get on there. I enjoy the little bacon cheeseburger with cajun fries. I usually get extra cajun seasoning on the side too. Dip the fresh pipin' hot thick cut potato fries into vinegar and man...it's an explosion in your mouth! The coke machine with a million options is pretty awesome too. You get a variety on the burger and the drink. Price is very reasonable not over the top, and because toppings are free you don't need to pay extra. This is my go-to burger place! read more

I have been going here A LONG time - I mean years. Everytime I go to the location - or call in an order - they are professional and polite even if they are very busy. They always complete my order correctly - even when it's over-the-phone. The employees always say "hello" as well as mention an approximate timeframe when the order will be completed and from there say "thank you" after giving me the order. In general - yes - prices are a bit high though I would just say they are using different ingredients than a dollar menu business in addition to the fact that they're using fresh, etc. - so would just say to keep that in mind also. What trip back east would be complete w/o a stop by Five Guys? Yes, every one of them annoyingly wraps the burgers immediately which makes the bottom bun a little soggier than I'd like, but it's good stuff overall. I especially like their cajun fries and super customization. The free peanuts don't hurt too =P This particular location is (next to a Target and 7-11) a little small in the plaza. Nevertheless, always expect a good amount of patrons during lunch hours with many business nearby. read more

After a truly wretched experience at a Five Guys in Riverview, Florida, I decided to give them another try. There was one around the corner, and I was hungry. The first difference was the people. In Florida they HATED us from the moment we walked in the door. Here the folks were so pleased that I was there and really wanted me to be happy. I got happy. As mentioned elsewhere the regular order of fries is enough for a family. The burgers were thoroughly (and safely) cooked. The toppings were generous but not overwhelming. I finished mine. And then went back and got another one for later. It isn't anything more than what it is. And that's good. And whoever's in charge apparently leads well, because the people were really good to me, and they won't do that if they're mistreated. The only negative was the volume of the music. (The music was great, just too loud.) And, hooray, they don't have a TV. read more

I have not been there for awhile but after this visit its back to Fosters Grille. The food was ok except for the fact that it was $16 for a Cheeseburger, small fries and a drink. All f the tables were filthy as well as the floors. The tables looked like nobody wiped them down at all with the crumbs and food on them. Also was not thrilled by the family of 5 with the lap dog they were holding at table level. I thought that was a health code violation. Menu: 4/5 (5th star would be there but the menu is only suited for the burger-lover), There is only one think I love more than burgers (My wife, but I'm going to keep her so a Yelp review of my wife does no one any good). I like to order the bacon burger (no cheese) with all the fixins. The 2 all beef never frozen patties are juicy and succulent. The burger is so big with all the fixins, I can't even fit into my mouth to take a bite. I need to smash it down with my palms in order to barely fit into my mouth. The peanut oil deep fried french fries compliments the burger perfectly, just dip it into some malted vinegar and some Old Bay seasoning, excellent!! Warning: Regular size fries can feed 4 people. Ok...after all the hoopla....and how this was the best burger in the USA....I HAD TO TRY IT...and I did tonite. Verdict: It's a great hamburger. Is it the best?...Depends on what you want out of a burger: Pros: 1. LOTS OF MEAT. If you like a really beefy hamburger where the bun and extra stuff is a minor player....then THIS is the place for you. 2. Extras: Grilled onions, tomato, lettuce, jalapenos, fried mushrooms, etc. are all thrown on for no extra charge. This helped raise my rating from 4 to 5 stars 3. Reasonable price: Looked like a 1/4 pound patty for $3.09 and $2.29 for regular fries, good for an average appetite. 4. Fries. These fries stay crispy in the bag for awhile and the quantities are huge for the price. Not oversalted as must fries are. A large can feed 2 to 4 people. 5. Quantity, Value for $: Top shelf in value. Lots of food with good quality overall. 6. Good tasting meat. Grilled, fried correctly. good carmelization of outer patty meat surface. Cons: Buns: Tasted doughy and undercooked. Bun was squished in general....as were the buns in all of our party's burgers. Bun fell apart quickly. How does it compare to In-N-Out. Tied but for different reasons. In-N-Out: Overall the taste and presentation of the burgers are better. The buns are grilled and tasty. They don't fall apart. The balance of taste of the overall burger is better...Crispiness from the bun and lettuce....flavor from the grilled onions....coolness of tomato...the warmth from the burger. The meat patty is much smaller here....but it's only $1.50. 2 or 3 In-N-Outs = 1 5 guys in meat quantity.. Fries here fall apart fast. You need to eat them within 5 min after it comes off the fryer. Otherwise, take out fries are mushy 5 Guys: If you like beef, this is your place. If they grilled the buns to help them keep their shape better, that would put this place over the top. A soggy, limp bun...kept this burger from going off the chain. PS: For completeness I have to add another entry here. The Ruby Tuesday in Linthicum, MD as well as most other Rubys...serve a really excellent burger. The meat is juicy and thick. Carmelized on the outside. The bun is very good and substantial. The fries are coated in seasoned flour to give it an added crunch....and it stays crispy for a long time. Ruby's in this ranking would be 5 stars as well. Plain burger alone approaches $10 with tax and tip...but it includes fries. PPS: One of my original favorites and still is...but I dont live in the area to eat there more is Tommy's Hamburgers on Rampart Ave...in Los Angeles. This is an altogether different kind of hamburger. Much like In-N-Out in size and overall appeal..this is the consummate CHILI BURGER. The taste cannot be match by any other chili burger. This is like In-N-Out...the sum is greater than the parts. It JUST WORKS. Eating it with several yellow peppers is just divine. You have to eat here at least once in your life. There is a line at 3 am. Limos from Beverly Hills come here at all hours...and the drivers wait in line. Ok now the hard part...how would I rate them? 1. In-N-Out. Always a line at all hours....the burgers with grilled onions is satisfying yet you dont feel stuffed ... there is just this intangible taste about the whole meal that is so appealing. 2. Tommy's Hamburgers. Best chili burger...prepared well like In-N-Out. If you order without chili...expect stares from the staff. Again...there is something intangible about the whole burger that makes this unique...and only at this store on Ramparts. This place has a line 24 hours a day. I passed by there once at 8 am...and there was a small line....geesch. But the line moves fast 3. Ruby Tuesday: Far underrated as a hamburger place. The meat is superb. The bun is toasted...the fries are seasoned and great. 4. 5 Guys: Great place if you are extremely hungry and don't want to pay restaurant prices. The best place to get filled up if you are a big eater and like lots of beef. Great basic fries. All these places are 5 stars...but each for their own reasons. It all comes down to personal tastes....so your ranking could be quite different. read more

For the unenlightened, you can choose between "little" (1 patty) and regular (2 patties), Burger, Cheeseburger, Bacon Burger, or Cheese & Bacon Burger, plus they have great hotdogs too. Finish off your burger with as many sauces and toppings as you like. So how do I have mine? Little Bacon Cheeseburger with A1 Sauce, Mayo, Tomato, Mushrooms, Fried Onions and Ketchup. Plus a good helping of Cajun Fries. MMM, Can't go wrong! I also forget how freakishly good their Cajun Style Fries are until I have them again and the goodness just overflows! I always get the malt vinegar to dip my fries in. The Coke machine that offers over 120 different soda varieties is just simply fun to have around for customers. There's nothing not to love about Five Guys. This location does not give the "original" fries portion like other Five Guys locations. I ordered a regular size and usually, it's a large. One scoop of fries from the cup and an additional scoop from the fries tray holder. This location definitely gave a one-time scoop from the regular cup size. Save all the fries you want. Not returning to this Five Guys location after I put my gas. There are plenty of other Five Guys around the area. Not recommended. And please clean your restroom on a hourly basis. It's dangerous and disgusting. There's wet paper towels all over the floors. The floor is also wet causing slippery floors. Don't realize this until someone actually falls in your location. read more
