Roaming Rooster serves up a really tasty chicken sandwich. Expensive, but tasty. The quality and price of this sandwich compared to fast food chicken sandwiches is analogous to the comparison of Five Guys' hamburgers to fast food burgers. One does not simply walk into Roaming Rooster on a frequent basis for one of these sandwiches. They are is not to be taken as a weekly grab and go spread-it-in-your-lap-and-eat-while-driving sandwiches you'd pick up at Popeye's or Wendy's. I got the OG Nashville chicken sandwich (mild), an order of fries, and a fountain soda. The OG Nashville comes in multiple spice levels and I got mild, just to set a baseline. The spice was negligible. Wendy's or Popeye's spicy chicken sandwiches register higher on the heat scale. The two breaded chicken breasts were crisp and crunchy. They were thinner than most chicken you get on fast food sandwiches, but I think using two thinner pieces gives a better overall texture and flavor experience. The sandwich came with slaw on the bottom. The slaw was really good -- mild tang, with cabbage, red onion, cilantro, and jalapeno. I expected the jalapenos to really burn but, while they seemed to be fresh-cut, they were quite mild. There were also two pickle slices on the sandwich which added additional sourness to the mix (though these pickles were not as sour as, say, the ones you get on a Chick-fil-A sandwich). The bun was soft and squishy - a good vehicle for all the fillings. The fries came in a cup, overloaded, and spilled onto the wax paper-lined tray. They are very much like Five Guys' fries: some crispiness on the ends, but mostly soft. They were seasoned with only a hint of salt. So, if you like Five Guys fries but with little or no seasoning, these fries are for you. There were no condiment dispensers. Instead, my tray came with about 6 packets of ketchup and two cups of sauce. The sauces were honey mustard (I'm not a fan of honey mustard, but this tasted fine) and a slightly spicy mayo (very similar to Chick-fil-A sauce or Zax sauce). I found myself drizzling some on my sandwich after every couple of bites. The total cost for this experience was about $18. This is what you'd pay for similar fare at Five Guys. Is it worth it? I think probably not. Will I be back for more. Probably yes.

Overall a good chicken sandwich. I would put it at 4th in my rankings. It's not as good as Dave's Hot Chicken which is my #1, but it beats places like Hot Lola's for me. The chicken has good flavor to it and isn't too crazy on pricing which is why it can stay at 4 for now. I do also like the fries here. Seems like they do like 5 guys does and overfill it to make you feel like you get more. The service here was short lived. The only time spoke to someone was when we ordered. And he didn't really seem to care to be there. The ambiance was typical fast casual restaurant. Some tables inside for those dining in. There's also tables outside if the weather is nice. Good spot for a quick bite to eat but definitely not the favorite go to chicken spot for us.

Solid spot! I've tried quite a few chicken spots I'd rank it 3rd out of most of the chicken spots in the area. We got the OG Nashville chicken and the blue cheese chicken sandy. We really loved both! The chicken patties are two thin ones rather than one big juicy chicken. The patty was crispy and the flavor was good. The service was alright and the inside was casual and clean. The prices are okay, but for what you get, other chicken places give you more. Everything is a la carte, in other words you don't get fries or a drink with your meal. For the price and quality other places will give you both. Also, I don't love the fries here. They're not super crispy, kinda greasy and soggy. We didn't have our order to go so I don't think it should've been soggy. Overall, I'd give it another shot maybe the DC location. I think I liked that location better when I first had roaming roosters.

To be fast food and the furious. Referring to the heat of the chicken. Overall it's always a hit, never a miss. Always a treat as infrequent my visits might be. Fries are always fresh and nicely heated. And reheats very well when needed. The potatoes used are great quality. Chicken is always crispy and deliver the spiciness as a nice surprise. **4-Stars..** because it's one of my places to only be tempted by... and not tested (unless I order the salad). Service is always efficient. Ambiance caters to both eating in and take out. Nice! Definitely R&R - fast food & furious! Prepared nicely. Even fun to eat.

I got the og nashville sandwich and the slaw balanced the chicken well. Out of the chicken sandwiches in the area, I liked this one a lot. It was not overly greasy or filling like some chicken are. The spicy sauce provided was also a great addition. Overall, it was a great casual spot.

First off, the person on the register has like angry issues, It was my first time and it will be my last, he was so rude, he was basically yelling at me, because Im polite person I left $6.86 on a $75.45 dollars order even though he does not deserve that for a bad customer service he provided us. They barely have customers and treated them like that, So disappointed on this place..!!

The chicken sandwich was great. The chicken was crispy and juicy and the honey butter was delicious. They were generous with the fries, and they were good but were not very crispy. They had 2 sauces I tried, One was honey mustard which I liked. The other was a house sauce like a Canes/Comeback sauce, and I normally love that type of sauce, but this one left a bad aftertaste in my mouth so it wasn't for me. The service was great, the lady at the front was super friendly. She also gave me more sauce when I asked. The ambiance was minimal. There are a couple tables lining the restaurant and the then the front counter. More effort could have been made to clean the tables between each customer.

Delicious home style OG chicken sandwich and fries. The coleslaw isn't my favorite as a side but pairs well with the chicken in the sandwich.

We were craving fried chicken and this place has both fried chicken and natural and hormone free. The menu has the options for the level of heat and we can only handle mild. The price for the sandwiches are $11 just for a sandwich and fries are another $5.00 so if you get a meal with a drink and fries the total for lunch will be around $20.00. Overall the taste is good but a little too expensive for a quick meal.

FOOD/DRINK: 4/5 SERVICE: 5/5 AMBIANCE: 3.5/5 We popped in here for an impromptu dinner while waiting for my car to get serviced. Both me and my hubby got the honey butter chicken sandwiches (mild heat level) with fries to split. I got a small lemonade, while hubby got half & half (half lemonade/half tea). This restaurant is a quick service place where you order at the counter and they give you an order number. You also pick your heat level upon ordering. They pour the drinks for you after paying. Unfortunately, the cups are a little flimsy and the lemonade spilled everywhere when I was grabbing it. I felt really horrible about it but the worker was a good sport. Food didn't take too long, but I didn't appreciate the plating. The sandwiches were wrapped in paper and placed on a tray and the fries were in a paper cup. The sandwich was extremely oily and soaked through the paper A LOT. It went on to the table, on my pants, and on the floor. It's an extremely messy sandwich. Definitely cannot eat it to go. We cleaned it up the best we could but we used SO many napkins during dinner. I also would have liked a separate tray because we couldn't share the space to adequately catch the drippings. Or a paper plate would have been nice. This place is more for a "treat" because of how rich it is (at least the honey butter one). I did feel a little queasy after - it could have been that it was too rich for me or that I ate it a little too fast. I'm not knocking them for that as I have GI issues, but just something to keep in mind. Ambiance was lacking a little. Sterile looking place and the chairs had chips in them, as well as the table was a little sticky feeling. The floors and bathroom were clean. We would come back if in the area, but I wouldn't get the honey butter again (or maybe I would consider splitting it). FOOD/DRINK: -Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich- --toasted buttery bun (much like CFA, very good but just didn't hold up to the honey butter. it was too soft) --two breaded chicken breasts (very juicy, breaded appropriately and crispy, and the mild was "peppery" - aka no heat at all) --cheddar cheese slice (could have been melted more) --honey butter (the honey butter was to excess, imo. I would cut down on the honey butter or have it on the side. it was leaking everywhere and didn't need that amount) -Lemonade- very good balance of tart and sweet, I really liked this lemonade! -Fries- crisp and thin. I really liked these!! very good fries. kinda like thrashers or less oily 5 guys fries.

I got the honey butter chicken sandwich and paid extra for fries. They were pretty good; though, it was very messy to eat. The hot honey and butter ran down my mouth and fingers while I was eating the sandwich. I'd come back to try another sandwich that's just as good but not as messy. They have a small variety of chicken sandwiches, wings, tenders, and fries from what I can remember. The fries came in a large white cup inside a brown paper bag. It was definitely a lot to eat. I can do without the fries next time. The sandwich is just so much to eat. Very fulfilling.

Grand opening of Roaming Rooster in Chantilly. It's located in the same shopping center as the Costco and Target. Many dining places in this small strip have not survived so best wishes to Roaming Rooster. I ordered the honey butter mild chicken sando. I didn't realize it would be two thinner breasts vs other chicken places that serve one thicker breast. The extra breading delightfully gave it more of a crunch. The chicken was hot and juicy. My only mistake was ordering it in mild which was supposed to be light heat. I didn't taste any heat at all. Oh well...I'd like to try a spicier one next time. The fries were good. Think Five Guys fries, but crispier. I was expecting waffle fries so this style of fries surprised me a little bit. Milkshakes were creamy and smooth. Strawberry flavor was better than cookies n cream. They just need to add more cookies to it since it tasted more like a vanilla shake.

Not as impressed, variety is limited. As much as we sought options, they were small in variety.

Went in, looked at them menu and left. $12 for a chicken sandwich, $5 for fries and $3 for a soda. Over $20 dollars for lunch. Nope.
