We rarely get food from Chick-fil-A. It's not that we don't like it, we do like it. However, it seems the only time we think about it is on a Sunday---and as we all know, that doesn't work out. I was in the area doing some errands. Before I left home, I asked my husband if he wanted to get a salad from them. He agreed. We never got food before from this location because entering and exiting this shopping area is a real pain due to traffic congestion. I was here on a Friday around 4 p.m. and already the drive-thru line was really long. So. I parked the car and went inside to order our food. That proved to be a great idea. There was no line at the time. A nice young woman took my order and repeated it back to me. I ordered 2 Cobb salads. For my salad, I chose Chick-fil-A's recommended dressing for this salad, which is "avocado lime". My husband wanted ranch dressing for his. This salad makes a good filling meal. From their website (I copied and pasted): "Chick-fil-A® Nuggets, freshly breaded and pressure-cooked, sliced and served on a fresh bed of mixed greens, topped with roasted corn kernels, a blend of shredded Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheeses, crumbled bacon, sliced hard-boiled egg and grape tomatoes. Prepared fresh daily. Served with Charred Tomato and Crispy Red Bell Peppers. Pairs well with Avocado Lime Ranch dressing." All the ingredients were fresh as we expected. Dinner cost $20 + change. I just noticed that Yelp wants me to talk about the ambience. Well...it's a typical fast food set up, well lighted and clean. As for the photo I posted --- we forgot to take a photo of the salad. My husband noticed that stapled to the bag was a note that listed what I ordered and had my name and a description of the sweater I was wearing. I visited Chick-fil-A while doing errands in the area and needed a quick breakfast. I dined in, which was busy, but there was plenty of room for patrons. Apparently there was someone else inside Chick Fill-A grading them. It explain way the head managers looked nervous. This will be my first time going through this Chick Fill-A drive thru. I am Interested in seeing the time length. Rebecca (Hate it when its shortened) began with a hello and a smile, informed me about the Chick Fill-A App; as well, as told me about the points system. This would be my 4th time eating at a Chick Fill-A. The drive thru experience was better th as n going into the store. The landscaping was well maintained except for a few spots. Rebecca thanked me and ended the conversation with a My Pleasure. This has become a Chick Fill-A motto since...I have no idea. I only started hearing this after hearing a story about a staff member chasing after a Guest/Customer for leaving have of her order behind. The woman thanked the kid profusely and he said...wait for it...wait for it...MY PLEASURE. I have done something like this myself and it is a good feeling. The guest/customer is not likely to forget this act of going beyond the call of duty. This inside of the restaurant looked clean and organized. The bathroom. Did smell clean, but could use a little tidying up. It was the first time I had ever seen mouthwash in the bathroom and I thought this was a nice touch. I don't know how the women's bathroom looked, but the other woman:) will be judging that. You never no when a store will be graded. The man who took my order was pleasant, but did not try to sell me on the points system. He did finish the conversation by saying my pleasure. I was originally going to tell everyone about how great it was to see the manager showing true leadership by shoveling the property for vehicles. However, when i entered and found out that they do not offer military discount but they only offer police and firefighter discounts makes military members/retirees feel irrelevant and unimportant. This is sad considering many of us are disabled and give many years to protect this beautiful country, yet do not get as much benefits as those who have done less than half of what we have endured. I love me some Chick-fil-A, but I must admit this location is not my go to. It could just be my luck, but every time I'm here I find myself waiting much longer than normal. Even today, had a mobile app order and went through the drive thru to pick it up. They handed me my shake immediately, but said my sandwich wasn't ready yet. I felt bad because they didn't tell me to move and park somewhere or anything and I held up the line for a good 2 minutes. I really enjoy dining at this location. I think the team members and manager are always polite, and very accommodating when I was dealing with a food allergy. I've seen and heard the team members remind others as they made sure to change their gloves for my order as requested. Once I had to wait for them to cook a batch of new fries when they ran out (while going through the drive-thru). When the manager delivered the fries to my window, he gave me a coupon for the wait - a free food item that was safe for me to eat (he remembered the food allergy)!. I really appreciated that extra kindness and customer service. Other than that, the food is good and it doesn't take long to get through the lines since they use extra team members to grab orders before they reach the cash register. My family and I have been coming here for almost 2 decades and staff, service, and food has always been great! The staff is extremely polite and that is very appreciated. However since the start of the new year every time this branch seem to get at least 1 thing wrong per order whether the fries or hash browns are soggy/cold, the drink is wrong, or they simply don't give the correct sauces etc. I'd like to note that I've worked in the industry I can understand when you're in the weeds and customers are out the door, that things are bound to be misplaced, messed up, or take longer than usual. But I was the only person there this morning and with the amount of time waiting at the window and staff on deck, I was hoping there wouldn't be an issue. We have decided many times to go further branch so these issues don't occur and have been content. I have tried and tried again to give this location a change but this occurs every single time. OK three times I have gone and ordered Sugar Free Unsweetened Tea. Three times Ice recd sweetened. I should have tested it at the window but of course i recd no straw and the line was long. The Chick-Fil-A in Sterling next to Lowe's near the Dulles Town Center Mall is one of the most exceptional fast food restaurants that I have ever experienced. Food quality and order accuracy is always wonderful. The employees are extremely courteous, well mannered and speedy. Even if the store seems a bit busy when you first enter the door, you will be served much faster than you would expect. The store is always kept very tidy and clean. I am only in town on Mondays for work, I choose this specific Chick-Fill-A because they always have smiles on their faces and their level of customer service is through the roof. The food preparation is so fast I can't sit before I have my meal! Josephine, part of the hosting staff is very attentive to the needs of the customers in the lobby. Today alone I have seen her ask just about everyone (including myself) if they are in need of refills. I've been to other Chick-Fill-A restaurants before, but by far they are doing it right.
