I do like their burgers. I miss the days when they offered sauteed jalapenos in addition to the onions. But at least I can still get jalapenos even if they're not cooked. They are a bit spendy on the burgers, but inflation this year has been obnoxious, so I roll with it a bit. I definitely eat out a lot less, and I'm cutting back on red meat where I can - eating healthier because of the economy more than for any conscious choice. Anyway, back to the review - I don't get here often - but I have had good experiences every time I've been here. Good food. Like the taters. Employees seem nice and responsive. Five Guys is a chain restaurant so their burgers and fries are what you expect but the service can really elevate your experience. This location has warm, friendly and patient staff. I'm not sure who our cashier was since they don't wear name tags (according to my receipt, though, it may have been Andrew) but he had such an awesome vibe. My go-to is the little cheeseburger and fries of course; we had the Cajun fries today and it was delicious! I was surprised it wasn't on their menu board but thankfully Andrew (?) made sure to double check with us. Love getting that craving for some good, no frills burger. I think this location opened sometime around the beginning of October. I was surprised to see it doesn't have a Yelp listing yet! Fixed! Normally I don't review chains where people already know pretty much what to expect, but wanted everyone to know about this location conveniently located by the Target, Hooked, etc., in Potomac Plaza in Sterling. I must say, Five Guys never disappoints! This locale had a really friend cast of staff members, and it's shiny, new and clean in side. They started using little recyclable paper boats for the peanuts and added a scoop to the bag -- much better than people grabbing around in there and dropping half of them on the way to their seats. The Coke Remix machine had lemon-lime Seagram's! Yeah! My only knock at all would be that the fries were just slightly less crispy than I'm used to at Five Guys, but hey, I guess that means less acrylamide so not all bad! Here's my pro-tip for an amazing meal at Five Guys: - Order a cheeseburger - Get the following toppings: lettuce, raw onions, fresh jalapenos, hot sauce - Order a regular fry to split between two people (they really fill the entire bag up when you order a regular, the cup for the fries is overflowing and pointless!) I VERY RARELY eat beef, and I even more rarely eat beef that isn't grass-fed, but Five Guys cooks their burgers so perfectly... crisp little edges with medium-well, juicy centers. I came in today at 9 PM to place a to-go order for 2 bacon burgers and a fry. While I waited for my food the employees were messing around and would stop preparing food to talk and joke around. Five Guys has always been our go-to place whenever we crave for burgers. The food is very reasonably priced and always fresh, and the fries are the best. This review is not about the food, however. Here's why I'm really writing: Around dinner time today, 9:00 pm on August 31, 2021, my wife and I dined-in and enjoyed a quiet dinner date. We spent about half an hour here, and passed by another store on the way home. As soon as we got home, I realized that I no longer have my wallet with me. I drove back to the Five Guys location in Sterling and got there 10 minutes before the location closed. One of the people behind the counter probably sensed my panicky demeanor and just went ahead and asked me if I was looking for my wallet. I feeling of relief washed over me like nothing I've ever felt before. He said that I'd have to prove my identity first before I can have my wallet back and I agreed. Honestly, I was genuinely impressed that he presented that condition, because it reassured me that the staff at that location knew the importance of the item they were holding and had a process in place for that situation. After confirming my identity and handing back my wallet, I immediately opened it in front of them to take out the cash I knew I had. The person who handed my wallet to me must have gotten the wrong impression about why I was checking the contents because he calmly said "everything's there, we didn't take anything out". I apologized and thanked him profusely and gave him most of the cash I had to show my appreciation for what all of them did. To the owner and/or manager of the Five Guys location in Sterling (46220 Potomac Run Plaza, Sterling, VA 20164), the staff that were present today between 9-10 pm on 8/31/2021 are all extremely honest people who chose to do the right thing even when no one was looking. You have a really good set of employees working for you. I hope this write up helps make everyone else aware of that. And to the person who found my wallet on the parking spot in front of the store and gave it to the Five Guys staff for safekeeping, whoever you are, I hope the kindness and honesty you showed through your actions today come back to you ten-fold. I'm not sure why this place gets anything short of four stars. I'm beginning to believe that people are very fickle and petty when it comes to burger joints. Anyway, off my soapbox and onto my review. The service I receive here is always good, it isn't Ruth Chris but it's isn't McDonalds either. The food here is consistently good, it's the burgers and fries you've come to expect and enjoy at Five Guys and for that I appreciate. The quality of the food prepared never changes from what are medium well, delicious burgers and well-salted flavor packed french fries. Another big plus is there drink machine; they have the one that has about 45 different drinks in it from sugar free to flavored of your favorite type of pop or water :-) this is a very nice touch and I appreciate the convenience that this adds. read more

The staff is excellent especially their female cook (sorry I don't know her name) she is super nice and attentive and greets every customer warmly when you walk in. My wife and I recently moved to Loudoun and were relieved to find a Five Guys nearby. We love the size and cleanliness of this restaurant. A staff member is always sweeping, cleaning tables and emptying trash bins. I was greeted by Jessica. She remembered my name from previous visits and made me feel right at home, as always. She took my order, made some small talk with me and then promised to get my order ready quickly. I later checked on my order and she told me she had to redo the order because she was NOT satisfied with the freshness of my hot dog bun! I was amazed that she was that thorough. Five Guys goes above and beyond to make sure their customers are happy! I ordered for delivery through the Five Guys app without being aware the food would be delivered by Doordash. The food was nearly an hour past when Doordash told me to expect it. I called the restaurant and they told me that while they couldn't refund my money, they would replace the food at no cost to me. When I got there, the manager (Roman, sorry if that's the wrong spelling), greeted me and apologized for my experience. I walked out with hot food and a new appreciation for my favorite Five Guys. I won't be ordering delivery from here ever again, but that's not a reflection of the quality of the food. Putting a middle man between you and your delivery is a horrible idea. The driver admitted to waiting for a half hour to pick up another order at a different restaurant before dropping mine off. Order delivery at your own risk! Good luck getting your order right! Not one person who works here speaks English. It was difficult to even put my order in to begin with (little burger all the way with fries and a milkshake). They had to make my milkshake 3 times to get the flavor right, and it then it came out not even blended and the cup was covered in ice cream, all sticky and disgusting. It's a milkshake. My first encounter with Five Guys was not pleasant. As I walked into the restaurant, my first impression was not a good one. When I ordered my food, the employee was very rude with me. As I tasted my hamburger it tasted very dry and the fries were soggy as if they have been sitting there all day. My experience was not a very satisfying. As of right now, I would not eat at this Five Guys located in Sterling or any other five guys. Let me first say that if you have any mobility issue DO NOT come in the door! They have horrible ventilation over the grill and there is so much grease in the air!
