This is a review of the Habit Veggie Burger. It looks like a full stacked burger but it's a veggie patty. I was able to customize because I did not want the sweet mustard dressing. From the menu, you get a full set of condiments including your choice of onions. I selected grilled onions. I love that the staff offered me choices. The cucumber is also an included condiment. The staff were polite, friendly and patient even though they were busy. It was my first time trying The Habit Burger Grill, and I had a really positive experience. You can order at the counter if you prefer, but they also have kiosks where you can place your order as well. It can get quite busy, but there's plenty of seating. It can get loud as well when there's a lot of people there, but not much more than your fast-food joint. I ordered the Portabella Char Burger meal: the burger came with the fries and a drink. The Portabella burger was pretty good with a lot of flavor. The fries were great: they were crispy and not too salty. They have quite a few options for drinks, but I opted for just regular fountain soda drink. They also have a small bar with condiments and additional toppings for whatever you ordered. I grabbed some jalapenos and banana peppers for myself. I was craving a burger when I came in, and this hit the spot for me. I enjoyed my meal. Definitely would come back. read more

Decided to stop in here for a quick lunch after being in the adjacent shopping center. At first we were waiting in line but then noticed the kiosks for self ordering, which was quick and easy. The staff was friendly and helpful with whatever we needed. The interior feels like your typical burger place nowadays, but it was clean and bright at least. The burgers were pretty good, and the serving size for the side of fries was huge. The kids burger was almost the size of the adult one, unlike many other places that just give an overcooked undersized patty for the kids. If you are pressed for time, avoid this place. I love their food but they are severely understaffed. They have just one person working the register at their busiest lunch hours. I love to order curbside, but the last 2 times I've been there, I had to walk in and ask for my order after waiting 10-15 mins after I received a text that the order was ready. The car parked next to me eventually walked on to get his order too. The convenience of curbside is to be able to drive there in my pajamas and bed hair and be able to pick up good food without having to get out of the car. First, none of the empty table were clean and the trash can was overflowing with trash on the floor. One of the lemonade dispensers was broken and appeared to be filled with water. Had to write an update after experiencing such great service and food for two consecutive visits. I believe there is a new manager from when we had bad service and swore off Habit for awhile. The gentleman that is the manager there now has been front and present both visits and working hard along with the staff. The previous female manager that was there always seemed to be sitting at a table. The leadership is noticeable. The staff is friendly, smiling laughing and interacting with each other and customers BUT most importantly our orders have been fresh and CORRECT. It's got to be the most long lived competitive segment since Coke & Pepsi. I'm still wondering why Fudruckers fell from grace and what the widespread big deal was with 5 Guys for so long. So without comparing to HoJos, Smashburger, Shake Shack ; Elevation or even Boca....My first Habit Charburger was pretty authentic and definitely worth the $5+ I paid today. Disappointed that it didn't live up to the hype. Ordered a char burger to go for my first try. I love burgers and every time I try a new spot, I go for a basic burger. In my opinion, if a place is "great" then they should be able to get the basics right first. The burger was bland, sort of cold (I live 2 minutes away, no reason for it to be cold) and lacking anything memorable. I only ate half of it and threw the rest out, it wasn't worth the calories. I'd rather have Five Guys, Elevation Burger or Shake Shack over this. The fries were overly salted and inedible. The strawberry lemonade had a ton of sugar. If you want a burger that deserves these ratings - Good Stuff Eatery is it. read more

So, we've been wanting to try the Santa Barbara Char here for a while now. We finally decided to drive out here to try it. Unsure if there was a single-patty and double-patty option, we specifically requested two patties on our Santa Barbara char as pictured on the menu over the cashier's head inside. He stated that it already comes with two patties anyway and we said "okay". Well, the main reason we ordered it was the two layers of patties, two layers of cheese, and the avocado it comes topped with. It comes out with one patty, one cheese, and no avocado. We immediately bring it back up and point out what it's missing. The lady (appeared to be the manager) that took the complaint, apologized for the missing avocado, but refused to add the second patty and cheese. She said the sandwich is in two halves and so that makes two patties, one on each half of the sandwich. Now I can see the single patty has been cut right down the middle into two pieces, but that does not make it two patties, stacked in a double layer, just like their own photos advertise. Obviously, their photos show two halves of the sandwich after being cut in half, with each half having their own two layers or "patties" in each of the halves. Flavor was good, but one star for getting the order wrong and then refusing to make it right even after bringing it to the manager's attention. They don't know how to make the burgers on their own menu even after having it pointed out to them. We first heard about Habit Burger from a server at another restaurant. I won't say which restaurant---don't want to get him in trouble if he still works there. Last week, we had set out to go here but due to crappy Mapquest Directions, we never made it. Once we finally figured out where it was exactly, we decided to go on a rainy Sunday and venture into the wilds of Ashburn. Their basic burger is called the Char Burger. You can get that or a double Char Burger. We chose the regular sized one. Their burgers come with lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions, mayo and pickles on a toasted bun. For an extra charge, you can add cheese or bacon. You can customize your burger or get one of their specialty ones. I chose a Char Burger and asked them to hold the onions plus I added cheese and bacon. My husband also had a Char Burger and held the onions plus added cheese. We got 1 order of fries and 1 order of onion rings. To drink, we each got a regular soda. Our order cost $18 + change. You place your order at the counter and are given a beeper. The young man who took our order was very friendly and made sure to repeat our order back to us before ringing it up. Soda is self serve. You also get your own napkins, ketchup and hot peppers. It didn't take long for our order to be ready. My husband really likes the burgers here. He likes that they aren't too big and that they don't overdo it with the toppings which makes the burger easy to eat. They don't ask how you want your burger cooked but they appeared to be medium well yet still had some juiciness to them. You also can pick up on the char flavor. I think they were a bit too stingy with the pickles as I would have liked to have had a few more. To me, they looked like new pickles---which is fine. While it wasn't the best burger ever, I thought that it was overall a decent burger. Next time we're here, I will keep the onions on as I figure they would add another level of flavor. What most impressed us were the onion rings. The batter was crisp and it held together very well. Sometimes, you can bite into an onion ring and the onion slides right out. That didn't happen here. We thought that they had great flavor. The fries were fine---basically unadorned but well cooked. Now that we know where it is, we both agree that we would come back here when we want a burger as you can't go wrong. read more

What an amazing and delicious find for lunch. The restaurant is a nice size with a variety of tables ranging from a 2 person table to an 8 person table. We chose to sit outside as the weather was nice that day. I wish I could have stayed in Virginia a bit longer so I could actually try one of their burgers, but we sadly had to leave before then. I ordered the chicken sandwich and did not regret it at all. The sandwich was massive and delicious. The chicken was fried to a golden brown crunch and was juicy. The veggies were fresh that topped the sandwich and were not overpowering. The bun was fresh and had the perfect taste. The final touch was the sauce that completed the sandwich. Habit Burger is great, a new favorite! The food is always spot on. The char burger automatically comes with grilled onions and a ton of other fresh ingredients. The Teriyaki char burger comes with pineapple. Be sure to add the cheese for a great flavor profile. All of the ingredients taste super fresh. But especially the buns. The kitchen toasts them just enough to make them stable & functional, very delicious unlike other burger joints. So the buns have stability and yet pliable to hold the big burgers & generous toppings together perfectly. The end result is a delicious burger. I will say that this Habit Burger (Ashburn) does this right, along with the Rockville location, which is also a great restaurant! I have found that other restaurants in the chain may toast then too long and even render them inedible. Ashburn toasts the buns perfectly. If you were considering trying Habit Burger, Ashburn is the "good one" in the area. The chicken sandwich and chicken bites are also delicious! According to my kids: The croutons are good, Caesar salad is very good. The Oreo shake is "awesome." The chocolate shake is "epic." The employees are very hospitable. It is nice to eat in a restaurant where the employees are happy to be there and laughing. The cashier (manager?) Jeff is very friendly and engaging. He made great recommendations on the menu. The interior is very clean and arranged to support Covid precautions. There are at least three sanitizing stations throughout the dining room. The tables are spaced and half of them are closed to facilitate social distancing. Tables that have been clean and sanitized are clearly marked as such. I recommend Habit Burger. We have done curbside pick-up, as well. The website and parking lot are arranged especially to support curbside efficiency. For all these reasons, I highly recommend Habit Burger, and we will be making it our regular dining destination. read more

Food = 3 stars. This place was okay for me. I tried the original charburger which was juicy and fresh tasting like everyone else said but they was no wow or "Mmmm this is good" moment. The lettuce was nice and fresh and crunchy which I appreciated. The sweet potato fries were kinda of dry. Since this place is cheap and literally right next to my house, I'd come again.
